We met up with the inlaws here, not sure what to expect. The service was top notch and we enjoyed sitting by the window even if it was a view of the King Sooper parking lot. The dish that stands out the most to me and is what will bring me back to this establisment is the gnocchi. When you order it, they explain to you that their gnocchi is a different texture than what you normally get. This made me nervous but I forged ahead with my order and I am glad that I did. This place has great happy hour prices since this restaurant is pretty pricy otherwise. This was our first time and honestly I expected better. I didn't love their crostinis. We did get a pasta dish I forgot to take a pic of but that was amazing. Their house made bread isn't the best I've ever had. However, the service was great and waitress was super helpful. They also bring out snacks before your meal comes which were pretty good. I'm glad I tried it once but probably will only go back for drinks. Their martini was amazing. read more

So, tonight was a bummer. (Would give 2.5 stars if possible). We have eaten here 3 times and the two times before were OUTSTANDING experiences! Tonight however, was mediocre. The food was good and the service was okay. However, after serving salad onto my plate, I found a Rollie-pollie on my plate of lettuce.. like a whole bug, dead, sitting on a lettuce leaf. We called over a team member, and he made a joke about extra protein and food being organic. They took the bug plate away, and brought us a new salad. We moved past it, assuming that the salad (at least) would be comped. When the bill came - nothing. No comped salad or dessert. Everything was charged, despite a literal bug being found in the salad that I was about to eat. Disappointed in this situation would be an understatement. Who knows when we'll be back, but definitely won't be ordering anything fresh next time! read more

We decided to give this place a try June 2026. The location is right by a little man ice cream shop so keep that in mind, parking can be a bit tricky. The space itself is good and was well maintained. The hostess greeted us while looking down at her phone and we were seated right by the host stand with her sitting there playing on her phone the whole time. This is not a problem for me at chipotle but if you're charging these prices it would be nice to at least have the iPhone's volume turned down. Dinner for two, we ordered a glass of red each, a salad to share, and two pasta dishes. Our server was good. We enjoyed his wine recommendations. The meal itself was poor. The 'insalata' was easily the most salty salad I've ever had in my life. Shockingly salty. The pesto pasta was the same, muddled flavors buried under salt. At this point I took a look around and realized the guests were largely 70+ and I imagine they over-salt the food to appeal to the elderly palate that makes up their customer base. One of the best meals we've enjoyed in quite some time. We were warmly greeted and after being seated were given our menus and water. A smallish restaurant with lovely decor and lots of wine bottles to look at. The food.... wow.... we ordered from the early Happy Hour menu Being with another couple, we ordered quite a variety so we could really get a great feel of the food. The Fritto Misto - yum.... The Mela with the burrata being flown in from Italy. The margarita pizza was enough for 2 slices for each of us. We didn't order a pasta and glad we didn't because with all the rest of the food - we were good to go. The Crostini al Funghi was a nice size - with the flavors of the mushrooms !! One of the Worst "Italian" Meals (if we could call it like this) I've Ever Had - Offensively Bad I almost never write bad reviews. If I know the chef or owner, I prefer to give feedback privately so they can improve. But after couple of decades of eating in restaurants worldwide, I've never felt so offended by a meal claiming to be Italian as I did at Osteria Alberico in Denver. Service: Welcoming at first, nice staff, but way too many people hovering around the table doing unnecessary things. Four waiters poured both sparkling and still water into glasses for all four guests without asking--small detail, but telling. Appetizers: * Pizza with white anchovies - terrible. Dough without salt or texture, anchovies straight from the can with a strong vinegar taste. Any decent chef would have rinsed them. * Supplì - an insult to Roman cuisine. Completely covered in cheese, bizarre texture, unrecognizable as a supplì. I wouldn't accept these even from a bar that doesn't care about food. * Menu item called "Cicoria" was actually radicchio. Why mislead customers? Main Courses: * My "Caserecce alla Puttanesca" arrived last, after everyone else had their plates. It contained calamari (stated in the menu) but was completely tasteless and smothered in excessive chili, nowhere mentioned in the menu. Since I was on antibiotics, I couldn't eat it. The waiter, who was kind, offered to remove it from the bill. * Friend's Cacio e Pepe Tonnarelli (but they served spaghetti instead) - unrecognizable. Picture-worthy for all the wrong reasons. * Another friend ordered chicken, promised as a different cut, and got a plain breast instead. Dessert: * Tiramisu - more like a bland semifreddo, completely lifeless, like it came from a 3D printer. When the bill came, the pasta I couldn't eat was still charged, and no manager came to ask why so much food was left untouched. This is neither an Italian restaurant nor a trattoria. Owned by the same restaurant group as Tavernetta, Osteria Alberico is a great new dinner spot to check out. I'd definitely recommend ordering in a primi, secondi, carne fashion. Although the pasta sizes themselves are pretty good, they seemed pretty simple and pair well with the meat and fish options. We ordered the burrata, focaccia, bucatini amatriciana, cacio e Pepe, and the steak. Burrata and focaccia are must orders. Osteria Alberico is a gem in Englewood. Although walk-ins are accepted, I highly recommend reservations as all tables and bar seats were full on a Tuesday evening. Food is comforting and plentiful - perfect for sharing. We went for my bestie's birthday and we were not disappointed. We were seated at a high top across from the bar area. Seating was very comfortable which is unusual for high tops. It was obvious that care went into selecting the furniture and the decor. We could see the busy kitchen as well as the quiet yet efficient expediting of meals. The head chef raised his fingers to indicate how many servers would be needed to carry dishes to a table. We started with the marinated olives and fresh focaccia. The olives come "with bone" meaning with pit. Olives were marinated in a great blend of garlic and fennel. The focaccia was airy and perfect for our next dish, Rigatoni Cacio e Pepe. This flavorful pasta dish was made with simple ingredients of pecorino ramano, black pepper, and homemade pasta. The spiciness of the pepper paired well with the creaminess of the cheese. The pasta shape was a perfect vessel to hold the sauce. We asked our server what her favorite meat dish was and she suggested the lamb. The agnella (lamb) was seasoned and cooked to perfection. There were 2 lollipops left on the bone with the fat for flavor. Seasoning included rosemary and was atop a bed of arugula in a syrupy saba balsamic with lemon. Since it was a birthday celebration, my friend was treated to their budino (an Italian pudding). A stemless wineglass was filled with delicious butterscotch, a layer of chocolate, and cream. To be fair, the manager reached out within a week. While the management that night seemed quite indifferent to the issues, the message reply was well written, acknowledging the major concerns. That is what a class establishment should do; own the mistakes and pledge to correct them. The service is impeccable, Adam was knowledgeable about the preparation of everything on the menu. Multiple wait staff (at least) 5 took care of pouring water, clearing the table and bringing out our order. Very attentive without being intrusive. The first aspect of any restaurant I notice is the size of the menu. If it is large, there is a good chance a few items will be a disappointment. OA's menu is compact. Every dish is crafted with fresh, high-quality ingredients that showcase authentic Italian flavors. We started with the Carne Cruda Allalbese (beef tartare), Mixed Olives and the best Focaccia Bread I have ever had. We followed with Maiale (porkchop), Whole Mediterranean Branzino, Mafaldine (beef/pork ragu/pasta), Zucca squash and Carota. Everything was perfectly prepared and came with a nice presentation. I ordered the pork chop as a test. A thick chop is not easy to prepare and achieve a seared outside with a tender melt in your mouth center. It is very easy to overcook, resulting in a tough piece of meat. Well, they nailed it! Amazing pork chop with delicious sauce. We split their popular dessert, Budino (butterscotch, chocolate, cream pudding), which was of course amazing. The wine selection is impressive, offering a well-curated list that complements the menu beautifully. I ordered Prosecco and a Super Tuscan ($90 Tuscan was very good). Osteria Alberico was an impressive experience. I have visited Italy on average of three times a year for many years. We landed late afternoon and headed to a concert. Our son is always on the lookout for something special because we love good food! He picked a spot we would all enjoy and wow... Osteria Alberico did not disappoint! We started with some Focaccia then on to the Insalata - oh so good and very fresh greens! For the main selection, we ordered a couple of the RIGATONI CACIO E PEPE and Margherita Pizza, I thought I was in Italy! It was amazing. Now, a good meal has to come with an amazing dessert. I am a huge fan of this stage of the meal. While I don't normally order the Tiramisu, my wife and son love it. I was blown away at how amazing this dessert was and have officially set this as THE benchmark. My husband and I ate there last week. It was a Thursday, but you better get a reservation. That's how popular this place is and for good reason their food is amazing. The ambience was relaxing and inviting. Their wine list is amazing and the service was amazing. It was super helpful. their sommelier helped us pick out a white wine. They also gave us a tasting of a red wine that next time I go, I will definitely have with my meal. My husband had gnocchi and it was good. I'm not a gnocchi person, but I thought it was good too. My fiancé, father in law, and myself went to Osteria Alberico and were blown away by our entire experience. The food, the service, and the ambiance was just amazing! First off I will start with the service; you walk in to be greeted by a host where they will find your reservation and seat you. We had a reservation for 5 pm and were seated immediately after checking in. They have server support staff (not sure what to call them) but all they were worried about was making sure our drinks were always full and help with delivering our food and making sure our table was clean. Our server was very helpful explaining some of the menu items that were in Italian and recommending items that complement each other. Overall the service was outstanding and you can tell they pride themselves in this. And they crushed it. 5/5 stars! On to our food; we ordered a couple different items and loved everything that we had. We started with the bread, barata, and insalata and everything was amazing. What really impressed was the barata, they told us that this is fresh barata from Italy that they bring in every week. (That explains the price but it is well worth it) the salad was well seasoned and dressed and very delicious. I ordered the a pasta dish ( Pansotti) which was amazing. It had great flavor and the sauce was amazing! 9.6/10 My fiancé ordered the rigatoni cacio de Pepe and it had amazing flavor with the cheese and pepper. 9/10 Then my father in law ordered the chicken dish which was probably my favorite. It had amazing flavor but the sauce that was on it was addicting. 9.9/10 We also shared the carota wish had an amazing flavor profile and I think was everyone favorite as well. 9.9/10 We all had a limonata which was great. Then we finished dinner with a tiramisu which was outstanding. Probably one of the best tiramisus I've had since living in Italy. 10/10 The ambiance of the restaurant was modern and clean, the service staff all was matching with their managers in suits. It is a nice high end dinner that is a little pricey but the quality of food and service make it well worth it. This is a very average little place with a very big, pretentious attitude. We ordered the salad with the whipped ricotta which was the best part of the meal. We were each served the smallest glass of wine I have ever seen in my lifetime. My friend's pasta arrived cold, which they were happy to do over. I ordered the pasta with a tomato and guanciale sauce. The pasta itself was good, very al dente which I prefer. The sauce was awful, thick, tasteless and over the top salty. Then comes the portion size, think children's menu size. I also ordered a margharita pizza to go. This was also over the top salty. This place is way over-priced for what it is. Fresh homemade pasta was delicious and the whole branzino was spectacular I felt the service was spotty - out server was helpful and friendly when she was available. I was surprised that it took a full hour to get any food in front of us and the rest of the meal was pretty drawn out. We arrived at 5:30 pm and did not walk out until after 8 pm. I do like not being rushed but this was a little too long. I sat at a high table opposite the bar and had a good view of the dining room behind me and the kitchen. I started with full strength gin martini with plenty of vermouth. My server, Syndee P gave me plenty of options to customize my drink. She offered still water or 4 different sparkling waters. I got Acqua Panna. I then had the Suppli al Telefono, a version of Arancini with fried risotto with mozzarella inside and covered in pecorino romano. My pasta dish was the Bucantini all'Amatricana. A nice filling dish. I paired it a Frasca Barolo which completed the pasta. For dessert, I got the classic tiramisu with a small glass of Vin Santo. Yummy dessert. read more

The Frasca Group and Bobby can do no wrong. The experience felt pretty flawless throughout. Before ordering, I was recommended a glass of rosé from our lead server that felt like she was a mind-reader. For two, we found that we may have put in the perfect order, in both quantity and best of the best on the menu. We started with the focaccia, made in house and perfectly paired with our other shareable, the cicoria - a grilled radicchio with the most umami dressing and doused in breadcrumbs. When not dipping the focaccia in the olive oil/vinegar mix, scoop up all the dressing from the cicoria. For mains, we ordered the agnolotti and the lamb. The agnolotti plating felt a bit underwhelming and the portion size could be larger but you'll receive no complaint from me since even just one on the plate would have sufficed (heavy exaggeration but also true) since they are heavenly. The lamb was perfectly cooked and maybe my favorite of everything we ordered. The burrata seems to be a fan-favorite recommendation from other friends, but the autumn seasonal variation seemed like a skip. Maybe next season. We'll be back for more soon. The actual location is the only thing that leaves a bit to be desired, nobody loves parking in the lot adjacent to the Super King Soopers. Though you never feel that while in the restaurant. The ambiance is lovely and cozy. While the dessert menu looked absolutely spot on, the real play is load up on yummy food and wine then head to Little Man next door for ice cream. FOOD: High quality and good taste we'd expect from a restaurant group that includes Frasca. The menu feels a bit fragmented -- not a large number of dishes, and a lot of them appetizers or sides for a multi-course meal -- but we were all able to point to multiple things we'd each want, then or at the future. Started with some tasty focaccia (enough for a couple of pieces at our four-top) and an eggplant app that even my wife (who generally hates eggplant) liked. Ordered two pizzas (four-cheese and diavolo), and both were great. My brother's Malfadine pasta was good, and my wife's pork chop was also very, very tasty, done perfectly. Desserts (tira misu and some sort of butterscotch thing) were good, and/but distinctly un-sweet. The cocktail menu is decent, if heavy on the aperitif mixers. I had a drink with Calabrian chili tequila that was just on the edge of too hot. We ended up with the sommelier advising us on the huge wine list, and she picked something perfect and in our desired price range. SERVICE: Service was good, with an effort to be great, but the place was awfully busy (esp. for a Monday night). Our entrees sat in the pass for a few minutes before pickup, and each step of the process seemed to take a few minutes longer than desired. AMBIANCE: Upscale homey is what they are going for, and succeed at. Biggest problem is that the place was packed (again, on a Monday night), leading to loudish noise levels and difficulty navigating the aisles (ProTip to fellow diners -- if you spot an old friend across the room, wave at them, don't go over and stand next to their table and chat for several minutes). NET-NET: We've been looking for a upscale special dining place since "The Wooden Table" closed. This one might be a bit too crowded for that, but we're definitely intending on trying it several more times to make certain. read more

Good things: Caprese salad perhaps best we have ever had with perfectly ripe heirloom tomatoes, fresh basil, imported burrata, olive oil all combined to make a wonderful version of this classic. Frasca group does it right with great service, very well trained wait staff, impressive attention to details like refilling your water glasses and removing plates promptly after asking if you are done. Very clean and rather upscale. There is a lengthy wine list by the bottle and a decent selection of wine by the glass --we liked both the Constantino Etna Bianco and the Scarpetta Cabernet Franc. Gin martini got rave reviews. Potential negatives: Pizza Guancia was just ok. Crust was thin, minimalist toppings, good but short of great. High end food quality and service comes at a cost. A reasonable expectation for two people to eat here would be a minimum of $100 plus tip if you have food with alcohol. Think about dressing up to perhaps a business casual level. Shorts are acceptable, but we noticed that the majority of patrons dressed a bit more formally. I think reservations are a near necessity. We booked about three weeks in advance and got a 5 PM dining time. The place was packed at that hour. Overall: it takes some effort to get to (and into) Frasca in Boulder and Tavernetta also has some "getting there" challenges. I consider myself lucky to live nearby this outpost. We will definitely be back to try some of the entrées. Just looking at the cars in the parking lot will be your first clue that you need to bring your gold credit card. Wow. Can't believe we get this quality of a restaurant so close to us and in a strip mall! Came here when I saw some people inside and pivoted from mod market. It's beautiful inside and everyone was dressed to the 9s! We sat at the bar where the bartender served us food and drinks super quickly and friendly! Got the fritto misto and it wasn't greasy at all. Delicious. We also shared the truffle pizza, which was a great thinly prepared pie. We had to get the caprese when the server told us it was flown in from Italy! The service was exceptional, our waitress and waiter (Sidney and Ian) gave us a wonderful explanation of the menu and fantastic suggestions based on our preferences for the evening. Let me just remind myself that you should not judge a book by its cover. This gem is in a strip mall and so deceiving in the best possible way! We had reservations last night for our party of 3 to celebrate July birthdays and there is not enough praise for the ENTIRE staff at this restaurant for how impeccable our experience was! We were 3 moms that haven't caught up with each other in over 2 months and from the moment we sat down at our booth to when we were served dessert, I cannot tell you how much catching up we were able to do while being served with delicious adult beverages, well-timed water refills, and lovely bites of food in between sentences! We ordered the Spritzes and these are not to be missed!!! There's the classic Aperol Spritz that knocked my socks off: not overly bitter (I know! But I'm a novice when it comes to Spritzes.), incredibly balanced and of course, refreshing! The grapefruit Spritz was such a great surprise because it so darn delicious and the best balance of fruitiness. (Think: mighty dangerous because you could hardly taste the alcohol! ) For food, we just shared the focaccia, burrata, cacio e pepe, and margarita pizza. Again, we talked so much that the only stand out dish for me was their cacio e pepe. UNBELIEVABLY DELICIOUS!!! Such a standout! Although our server was lovely, we had a less than impressive experience for dinner. We started with the fritto misto calamari per our server's recommendation. Although it was delicious, we felt that the portion was a bit small considering the price. This was also the case for our entrees, especially the lobster ravioli, which only came with a few pieces. The best dish we had all night was definitely the maiale pork chop. On the other hand, the diavolo pizza could be skipped.
