We tried several places in the area during our stay and this was 100% the best restaurant we came across. It is so worth the extra 2 minutes of walk to get away from the places immediately along the hotel streets. The service was SLOW, like the slowest we had our entire time in Italy, which was somewhat annoying but we'd come to expect a wait by this point so as long as you're not in a hurry it'll be alright. Make sure you ask for the check or it will never come. Also you need to be a bit pushy when it comes to ordering, getting water, or even asking for a table otherwise they sort of just brush right past you. That's the Italian culture so it didn't bother us, but we saw some totally clueless tourists when eating here that waited for ages to get anything because they wouldn't ask. The food more than made up for it as it was so good. The menu comes in English and the staff can speak English so it was very easy as a tourist. I highly recommend the pizza here, it was my favorite pizza in Italy of all the places we tried. It is a traditional red sauced pizza and the crust is great, traditional Italian. The pasta spaghetti amatricana is a specialty and was very tasty, but salty. Nothing was at all spicy so don't worry about anything being too hot.

It is a traditional Italian restaurant and they do offer pizzas as well as lots of other choices. My dinner of choice was their Spaghetti alla Carbonara, a dish I like at home. We are tourists. It did not go well. While everyone else enjoyed their dinner except one who got a different dish than what she ordered, my food wasn't very good. There was a noticeable delay from everyone else getting their food and mine, I think they missed cooking mine and were scrambling to make mine quickly.
