Walked by hungry and rather randomly stopped to eat here. Pleasantly surprised. Their menu carries standard fare. I read reviews after and was taken aback by what I read. Honestly, my only issue was the wc. Definitely, needed much more attention. Customer service was spot on. If you had questions or needed anything always someone around. The food? I ordered an amatriciana which was flavourful and filling along with the house red. My friend had their gluten free risotto. She was delighted. Sat outside which I recommend! We were hot, thirsty and hungry.. we had a large party and thought we were far away from the touristy places to find a good place to eat and rest. The waiter was fantastic at first, he really sold the place as having " The best food" Drinks and appetizers were ordered and brought out promptly but that's where the good service ended. The nice waiter left for the night and gave us a "Ciao!" And he drove off. Another waiter with the worst comb over ever took over and was ordering the other servers around . We ordered and the waiters disappeared. One of us had to go inside to get their attention for something we needed. The food came and it was very underwhelming.. no one in sour party of ten enjoyed their meal. I had the Carbonara and it was the worst I had in Rome. Another in our party ordered a T-bone steak cooked "medium" and it came to us so raw it was mooing. I couldn't finish my meal and did not take the rest home. Again, amazing. This place was so good the first time we came back two nights later for more! This time we shared a plate of fettuccine bolognese and then a porterhouse steak ala florentine served tableside which was an entire show! They lightly cooked the steak in the kitchen, brought it out whole, then used a sword to cut the steak into strips which where placed in a hot grill which had been basted in the fat from the steak. I cannot even describe the process. It was so amazing to watch and tasted even better!! Once again, we had the impeccable service of Salvatore. The man is a gem, a jewel, a total professional. This place is so good, we had to come twice in less than 24 hours! We stopped for drinks the first time, and the espresso martini was amazing. The owner was so kind and made our experience ten times better. He gave us complimentary drinks on both our first and second time visiting the resturant, and even put a candle in my friend's desert for her birthday. It is located near the Trevi fountain but sits back to where you can eat and drink in peace without people constantly walking right by your table. We ate outside once which had the cutest tables and chairs with umbrellas, and then inside. If I am ever in Rome again, this place will be a must go... again! read more

Me and my wife went there last night. Food and service were great. One thing I didn't like was that as soon as we sat they brought us a basket of focaccia which we didn't order, when they brought the bill they had charged me €8.00. My partner was attracted to this restaurant due to the aesthetics on the window. I looked at the menu and saw a lot of great options so we decided to have dinner. We fell in love with the ambience once we arrived. The wine option was limited, but we found something we both enjoyed. The charcuterie was DELICIOUS! I ordered the carbonara and it was the best pasta I ate while in Italy. The sauce was so creamy and the bacon was flavorful! This is a must order on the menu. My partner ordered the shrimp and ravioli. He was not impressed, the shrimp were so big and he felt disgusted by it as soon as he cracked it because of the black liquid that fell out. He ate the ravioli and loved it. As the night went on, the restaurant got busier, and the service became slower. Went here 2 nights in a row! Great service, amazing food and fun experience. The seafood special pasta was really flavorful and fun. Lobster, shrimp, scallop, muscles, clams, pasta and a delicious cream sauce. Amazing. The bone in steak prepared table side was awesome. Imagine Salt Bae meets a little restaurant in Rome. We also had the table side carved prosciutto and it was so good that we got it both nights. This place is a gem! They even gave my wife and daughter both a 3 foot long rose both nights. This place was absolutely amazing! Very close to the trevi fountain but secluded enough to have space. The ambiance of being able to sit outside and people watch has been great. The food was AMAZING! I recommend their Moscow Mule and Carbonara. I think the Gnocchi Roman style is just okay. Definitely not bad, but the Carbonara is just so much better. This is coming from a gnocchi fan. Friendly staff and cute place to eat. Overall, not a bad place to eat and unwind. read more

I would definitely come back again!!! My wife & I ate outside under the shaded chairs. Started with the eggplant parmigiana, thin focaccia bread & 2 strawberry mojito's.... Delicious! Main course we order seafood mix grill and the Bistecca alla Fiorentina both were tasty & reasonable priced. The steak wasn't seasoned, they bring seasoning to the table for you to do. Literal scammers. 10% extra charge, I asked why and they said "for the tables chairs and utensils". Good was honestly really bad as well. Our worst and most expensive meal in 2 weeks. The food was great. In Italy, the servers let you enjoy your food and do not bother you much. It did take about 45 minutes to get our check after asking a few times. Just around the corner from Trevi Fountain, we found ourselves needing to fill our stomachs. It was later in the afternoon so it wasn't busy. Our party of 4 were seated comfortably at a large table. The table setting and decor was distinguished and lovely. The service here was a little off comparatively to other Italian dining establishments. With the lack of customers at the time, we waited a while for our food to finish. The waiter wasn't as attentive as I would prefer. I felt once you were sitting and placed the order, they didn't care after that. For the food, the pizza and pasta were great. I wish I could remember the name of the very first pizza we enjoyed in Italy. Pizzas are only one size and it can be easily shared with a group. The meats and delightful crust made it a winner. How do they do it? I couldn't get enough. The fettuccini bolognese had an amazing sauce. This dish was perfectly portioned but surely filling. Don't get tricked by it looks. We fell in love how it looked outside and decided to eat here. Service was unbelievably slow. I ordered a vegetable soup and fettuccine with mushrooms according to the waitress's suggestion. My friend ordered a lasagna. Her food came first while she was in the middle of her food my soup came which was OK! Nothing special. After 45 minutes later my fettuccine came half cooked, and extremely salty. To add an insult to all of this it was 25€ which felt like a slap on my face. All in all I would steer away from this restaurant, but if you feel like you must try just get a drink and be done with it. Do not Get ingannato da sembra. Our first night in Rome and we came across this restaurant by chance. Invited to look at the menu by two guys on the street we ventured near. A live harpist and guitar helped us decide to give it a try. We were guided through the restaurant into a very cosy, shall I say, romantic rear area. Beautiful décor and the tables laid out to a very high standard. Perfect, so far. The young lady that served us was so friendly, yet professional. She took out order for wine, we asked for a carafe of their house red. Normally, this goes very well and this was no different. A wonderful, fruity, red wine. I ordered four gigas oysters and my partner decided on prawns in garlic. After this I decided to have another four as those oysters were delicious. Gigas oysters were brought to our area of Essex by the Romans and are farmed in the Mersea region. The young lady then took it on herself to offer a dish as she noticed we loved seafood. She didn't go wrong in her offering. A wonderful pasta plate full of seafood. I certainly recommend this restaurant if you are in the area. Great service and wonderful food. OK, maybe a little pricey but well worth it. Go for it, give it a try for that special evening. read more

When you're walking the seeming endless maze of alleys around the Pantheon you may be fortunate enough to walk past this cute restaurant. Whether it's the bapat shaped cart of fresh seafood or the outdoor seating dotted with a canopy of lace umbrellas that catches you, stop, sit, eat, and drink.
