Another amazing meal. Service was spot on, from drinks to dessert. The bread was very fresh ..... soft inside and crusty outside. Spicy tomato oil and butter were served so I tried both. The oil was a bit spicy for me, but eaten with my food it was perfect. The salad that comes with dinner is always a nice portion and the house dressing is excellent. A vinaigrette with a little sweetness. As always, when the entree arrives I am astounded by the size. Veal parmesan, beautifully breaded and cooked, served with a good amount of sauce and cheese. The side of cappellini was not even touched as I ate the veal. After the leftovers were boxed up, out came dessert. I went again with some family and the food was divine!! We were sat in a corner (which we loved) because it was a little quieter. Great ambiance, excellent food, and the drinks were delicious. We arrived after 8pm on Sat the night before Father's Day after a long day traveling and wanting to try them. I had been many years prior with my gram and we loved it. After asking if they would still take a reservation for 2 with others waiting and closing time at 9 we were assured with a pleasant smile they most definitely would with a bit of a wait. Told the nice woman no preference and we sat on a bench as a large party of 8 was called to move into the dining area. Everything is still as it was, welcoming, Italian feeling like home, clean and unpretentious with a very nice and fully packed bar of patrons eating and chatting. Within minutes we were seated at a nice table for two in the more softly lit dining room which was perfect after all the oncoming lights of traffic we endured. We were brought our drinks within minutes of ordering and fresh rolls with tomato dipping sauce so good we bought some to take home. Surprisingly they still had the prime rib which is only served in Saturdays. The picture does not do the king cut justice, salad served before and side option potato, fries, or pasta. I haven't been to this restaurant in a number of years, but I was very pleased and impressed with my experience there. First of all, the atmosphere is very elegant and welcoming when you walk in. As soon as I arrived, I was greeted and seated immediately to my reserved table, which was a table of 20 people. The server immediately came to offer drinks, and then appetizers shortly after. They have a wide selection of beer, wine, and other spirits as well as soft drinks. They prepared our food and an impressive amount of time considering that we had a large group and there were also several other large groups dining in that night. Everyone was happy with their food and it was all cooked to perfection with amazing flavor. At the end of our dinner, the server offered dessert, coffee, and tea, which we only got coffee and even their coffee was great. I highly recommend this spot to anyone who wants to have an elegant dining experience whether it is a large group or just a couple wanting to enjoy an evening out. The salad was crisp and tasty, the lasagna mouth wateringly good. And my favorite of all, the meatballs! They were HUGE and so flavorful! Wait-staff were more attentive than most service I've had in the past year. The food was absolutely amazing. Only our 2nd visit since 1995 and it's still busy. We loved the food then. A pleasant bar setting and dining rooms with tables spaced apart enough. First came the nice, warm egg-shaped rolls, but with only butter, no dipping oil. The Chicken Lasca came as a thin slice of "chicken breast stuffed with lightly smoked ham" (small cubes, as usually seen in diners), "Swiss cheese & fresh broccoli" (finely chopped?). Not very satisfying. It came with an average baked potato. An antipasto was large with enough good things in it. "Mixed greens with imported meats & cheese tossed in vinaigrette." The special - fried chicken with eggplant was the most disappointing of the night. It was HUGE and topped with a little melted cheese and sauce, but I had to take most of it home to disassemble it to see what was what. I believe it was one or two layers of thin slices of breaded chicken breast, topped with two ¼" slices of breaded eggplant and maybe more cheese. It tasted good, but for $30+, breading should not have been the prime ingredient. This came with a dish of angel hair pasta topped with a yummy, but not quite enough, smooth red sauce. read more

Worth the trip! We were seated right away. Even though we did not have a reservation. I highly recommended having one! Server Cassie, she was very sweet and efficient. Bread/rolls warm and fresh were brought right as we sat. With a red dipping sauce that had a slight kick. So good I could not keep myself from eating them!! Drinks served We had wine and Champaign. Only problem was they did not have the full bottle of the small one I tried and you have to save your cork, to try and recork left overs if you wish to take unfinished bottle. The tail was a little on the tough side I thought but my husband devoured half. It looked like two tails or they split one huge tail in half. It came with a tea light candled serving dish. I was impressed. We ordered NY style cheese cake with strawberrys. The cheese cake was very tasty. I think I could of done without the strawberry. Not in season and a bit bitter and tough. But I did enjoy the sauce on the plate. Just dipped ansd ate. So full we only ate a few bites. I hope I have the name of the waiterss correct. She did a great job socializing with us old folks. Stopped in last minute on my way through Auburn. Haven't been here frankly and sell for years and I certainly don't know why after stopping in tonight for a wonderful dinner and great service. I enjoyed thoroughly the 2 pound king crab dinner. The crab was split for easy access, the meat was bountiful and it was just as sweet a king crab as I've ever had. Just goes to show how a good restaurant maintains a loyal following because the place was packed. By doing things right and consistent day in and day out. Holy platter size portions! Walked in at 6pm with a party of 10 and the senior citizen bus must have beat us there by a half hour. All the portions are enormous. Don't get me wrong, the food is great, well mostly (my lasagna at $22 wasn't as great as I recall the last time I ordered it as the sausage was sliced super thin in a single layer), but my husband's shrimp and veal in a champagne sauce was out-of-this-world yet pricey at $33.
