Food was 5 out of 5 excellent quality, portions and taste, but service was 1 out of 5, which is why I arrived at a 2 star review. To start, our table was dirty, and it took 10 minutes for the waiter to arrive and clean it - where are the bus boys? For this kind of dining experience, there should be someone else busing tables to clean and clear so the waiters can focus on giving the type of experience that we had hoped for. Our waiter when he arrived was very friendly, gave good recommendations, and our food and drinks were great! When it came time for the check, our dessert to go that had been previously ordered was not there, and unfortunately this is where the service fell through. It took 25 minutes to get the boxed dessert (only after we inquired about it three times).At this point we would have just left had we not already paid for the check including a very generous tip. Finally after getting the attention of another server, we were told the manager would be bringing it by. Instead our server brought it to us and gave a brief apology for the delay however by this point we had been sitting at the table, no drinks, empty plates and paid for check for almost a half hour. It totally ruined our experience and its hard to say if we will come back due to the poor service and extreme and unnecessary wait. Had the manager actually taken the time to come by as promised we would have asked to just have the desert removed. We came here specifically for happy hour. There isn't much to write about. Our server in the bar was very kind and checked on us frequent enough but not overly present. The rest of the experience was just okay. It wasn't bad or good. It is the type of experience you would expect from any other chain restaurant. The food was fine, but nothing that was exceptional. The french fries were not crispy, they were actually a bit on the soggy side. The chipotle ranch had a nice flavor though. We got steak bites, which were grilled tenderloin. It was too cooked for my liking, but it wasn't too chewy. There was a creamy sauce that came with the steak, like an aioli, which I did not enjoy. I looked at the menu and it doesn't list a sauce other than balsamic glass, so I have no idea what that was. The chipotle ranch was the superior sauce though. The spinach artichoke dip was good, no complaints. The seating area is what you would expect for a chain restaurant bar. They have booths, bar stools around the bar and some regular tables. In a town of independently owned restaurants that offer great HH, I would only come here if we needed to seat a larger number of people that couldn't be accommodated at the smaller establishments. read more

Have a nice gluten free selection. I usually get an Impossible burger with a gluten free bun and either mashed potatoes or asparagus as the fries are in a shared fryer. Happy hour is good but not much for gluten free food options but their cocktails are nice and their happy hour wine is usually pretty nice. Always have friendly service. Bar is nice for drinks after work. Recently I tried their happy hour Caesar salad and wedge salad. Both were very good. I'd been wanting to check this place out for a while now so we finally made it. We just went on a Sunday afternoon and not too busy. We were able to park in their lot but it is on the smaller side so it makes sense that you may have to go to other mall parking if they were really busy. Our server was friendly and prompt. The place is large and nice, but it's kind of dark (mood lighting). We ordered from both the regular and seasonal menus. All of the food was really good. Fresh fruit, crispy chicken, and balanced cocktails. We got a couple desserts to go so they come deconstructed. No pictures so you have to use your best judgement assembling, but how wrong can you go putting dessert together? It may be wrong but still tasted good. first time at the oswego grill! went on a monday evening around 4:30 PM and was given about a 5-10 minute wait for a table. we were seated shortly after. i wasn't a big fan of how close other tables were, but i liked the ambience of the place as a whole. my boyfriend and i were hoping to try the happy hour menu, but were unaware that you had to sit in the bar to order from that. will have to come back to try that! i tried the stuffed salmon and thought it was very tasty! everything was a little on the saltier side, but wasn't too salty where i couldn't eat it. i really enjoyed the flavor of the sauce that came with the dish. i also tried the mango fruit drop, which was delicious! my boyfriend got the oswego burger. he said it was nice and juicy, and the toppings went well with the burger! the fries that came with it weren't bad. tasted like the were made in house, which is great, but just had a potato taste to them. overall pretty good, but we'd love to come back and try the happy hour and will know to ask for bar seating next time!! read more

Finally decided to try this place out. The parking lot was full but there were a bunch of available tables inside. They opened the door for us which was a nice touch. They had mood lighting as it was quite dark in there. Our waiter was attentive and got us drinks right away. Then we ordered. Hubby got the pot pie. It looked huge, but wasn't as full as it looked. He did like it. Said it was a bit on the salty side but he prefers it that way. I got the chicken marsala. As it came out I noticed that the sauce already had that plasticky film look to it as if it had cooled or been sitting. I ate all of the asparagus right away. It was good. Onto the chicken and it seemed a bit under done. I cut into it more and wasn't pleased with the texture. And I believe it was the manager that came by and asked how everything was. We pointed out that the chicken was underdone. He asked if I'd like another and I said yes. Offered me a soup or salad while I waited and I opted for a garden salad. While munching on that our waiter came by and asked if he had forgotten something since he saw I was eating a salad instead. He didn't know I had sent the meal back. He continued to be attentive. Got the new plate and the sauce definitely looked better. And the chicken was oh so much better. Again, I ate all of the asparagus first. Overall, I did enjoy the dish. The sauce had a good flavor and they weren't shy with the mushrooms. The place really filled up as we made our way out. I'll have to come back and give it another try. I am so impressed with the employees here! I came on Wednesday night after they had installed a new system for taking orders. The general manager, James, took our order despite his title. He was incredibly kind and accommodating. Our server, Jade, was also very friendly and attentive. I'm sure the new system had a learning curve, but our meal came out in a timely fashion, perfectly as ordered. If I hadn't made small talk with the staff, I would have had no clue they were having a stressful night! They held themselves quite well and things ran smoothly. What's even more impressive is that we ordered waygu sliders, steak bites, brussel sprouts, fries, a 22oz beer, and a flavored lemonade all for under $45! This was all off the happy hour menu. I'm not one for chains, but Oswego Grill p, a local chain that cooks with seasonal ingredients, has a fantastic Happy Hour. It's offered twice a day - from 3-6pm and again 9pm to close. Unlike other happy hours that are often sparse, Oswego Grill offers many items at reduced prices. It's fun going with a group and ordering a bunch of different things to share. Our group of five ordered the fried brussle sprouts p, which were excellent and came with a sriracha aioli that had the perfect heat. The Wygo beef sliders, they were juicy and delicious! We also had the spinach and artichoke dip, steak bites, and the chicken and cheese quesadillas. Everything was really tasty and priced between $4.99 - $8.99, w I think is exceptional. For something sweet to finish our meal, we had two orders of the fresh, homemade ricotta doughnuts, which I highly recommend. If you prefer, you can have any of these as your meal, plus they offer a HH burger, fish tacos, seasonal salad, Caesar salad, California rolls and lettuce wraps. Something for everyone. But this is HH and you are also hear for the cocktails! They have several specialty martinis for $10 like a lemon drop And one made with watermelon. I'm a red wine gal and enjoyed a blend for $7.50. Wine selection changes daily. Draft beer is $1 off. I've also been here for dinner and the fried chicken is always good. Crispy outside, tender inside, and if you have willpower, you can save one piece for lunch the next day. Served with mashed potatoes and coleslaw, it definitely satisfies a craving. This place is awesome. I've been twice now and both times were great! The last time I was here, we had a waitress who was just amazing. I'm newly lactose intolerant (unfortunately), but she suggested dairy free substitutions for things that I wanted and was so friendly. I wish I had gotten her name to say thanks! We love to come here and hit up happy hour! Happy hour is seven days a week from 3 to 6 and nine to close. They change their menu seasonally so it's one to try new things. The ricotta donuts are must have item at every visit. They are fresh, and perfectly seasoned with sugar, cinnamon and a caramel dipping sauce without being too sweet. I don't know how they do it, but the outside of the donut is crisp, the inside has such a tender pillow and bounces gently off of your teeth without being sticky. If I die choking to death on food, I hope the donut is what takes me. The sliders are always a really good shareable option, it's obviously smaller than a full-size burger, but the flavor is excellent. I love the garlic aïoli that they put on the sliders. There's enough garlic that you'll be tasting it and remembering the slider for the next several hours, and for some people that's a downside but for me that's called getting your moneys worth! We have had dinner at this Oswego Grill location a few times now. The food has ranged from really great to just ok. We love the stuffed chicken but the fried chicken wasn't great. The steak was grilled really great with great flavor but was really fatty. The asparagus is sooo good! It's one of my favorite things even though it's a side. Overall it's always been a good meal. The staff has always been friendly upon arrival and the servers are friendly and quick to take orders. We've never received any order that was incorrect. The parking lot is the main down side of choosing this restaurant. Since it's located in a shared parking area with other restaurants and Clackamas town center it can be packed and difficult to find a parking spot. It's especially difficult if you're meeting other arriving in separate vehicles. Depending on the day and time you should expect a wait of somewhere between 15 minutes to nearly an hour. It's gets really busy at dinner time, especially Thurs-Sun. The restaurant itself is a nice atmosphere. You'll find a mix of guests that are in casual jeans and tshirts to others in fabulous date night attire. Either is entirely acceptable! If you want some place nicer than Applebees but not as spendy as a big name steak house this place is the perfect middle ground. read more
