Ordered delivery on Seamless from OTB because I was craving the comfort of some good ol' fried chicken and mac & cheese. Added a Caesar salad because I thought at least that has "some veggie" in it. Food was delivered early and came neatly packaged. There was a lovely note written on the bag--which was a nice, personalized touch. The food was hot and generously portioned. Caesar salad was tasty and crisp with shavings of parm. Chicken nuggets were delicious, juicy and perfectly light / crunchy--even after their trip over to me. The honey mustard was also surprisingly spicy--which I actually enjoyed and was nice to know it was homemade. The star of the show for me was the mac & cheese. I got the gruyere with truffle salt. Was delicious and just what I wanted. Prob one of the best mac and cheese I've had in a long time. All in all, was genuinely impressed by the quality and thought for the prices. I don't remember what I ordered here. That's never a good sign. We came here upon a suggestion of some fellow Yelp-Eliters as a great place for a night cap post yelp-eliting. Oh god. That sounded so corny. Bear with me. I apparently had a Hemingway Daiquiri that my friend noted I loudly exclaimed that "this tastes like sex in a cup". I honestly don't remember at all how it tasted. But I like and have had Hemingways before so I imagine it was quite tasty as they should be. It was made with Goslins Rum (There was an obligatory Ryan Gosling joke thrown in here somewhere), fresh lime juice, grapefruit juice, and luxardo maraschino. We also split three-ways a cheeseburger. Which was as complicated as it sounds. I don't remember how it tasted. I do remember there being French fries. Those are tasty. I like fancy cocktails. I kind of hate Williamsburg. So I'm very on the fence with how to rate this place. The yelpers seemed very enthusiastic about it. My friends seemed indifferent. I seemed indifferent and that's why I'm going with 3 gold stars! Just an update to say that in addition to being a great spot for a beverage, it's also a nice place to drop in during the week for dinner. They have a small menu but it's packed with yummy treats, from steak frites to fried pickles, and even warm chocolate chip cookies! I recently got a mid-week cheeseburger and it was like a perfect backyard burger: not huge, but perfectly cooked patty and some melted American cheese (you can also get cheddar) and a grilled potato bun. I tried to exercise some restraint and got the salad on the side instead of fries, which was perfectly good though obviously not as much of a treat as fries would have been! All of this was nicely washed down with a Negroni. We didn't have much time for dinner but the service was quick and efficient, and we were in and out in about 40 minutes total on a Wednesday evening. There were plenty of people at the bar and in the booths enjoying drinks and food, but it wasn't too crowded at all, we were able to sit right away, and it was the perfect noise level. Literally the most amazing place to grab drinks and bites on the block! Especially for a larger group of friends! The owner is a bad ass woman who you can catch a good vibe from behind the bar. The staff is the most welcoming, awesome group of people I've ever encountered in Brooklyn!! Shoutout to Russel, Ben, Nestor, and Amber who can whip up a mean cocktail and provide such welcoming service. The kitchen staff is also the best and always so friendly (you can catch them once and a while coming up the stairs) -food has always been fresh and consistent. Came to OTB during happy hour on Taco Tuesday and it was great! When I walked in, I was able to grab a seat at the bar with my friend. Their happy hour is great and has something for everyone. I really loved this place. The bartender was very friendly, they have a great beer selection, cocktail selection. They have an impressive happy hour, too. That's already enough to draw me in, but then there's the decor. It's almost art deco, or sort of retro, a tiny bit of a 70's basement vibe. Came to this place last night at the suggestion of a cool Yelper I've met at 2 Yelp Elite events. I'm giving them 4 stars for the drinks and for the overall ambience and for the decent food, but if for some inexplicable reason if someone told me that I was not allowed to ever return here again...I would be A-OK with that. OTB is a kinda-sorta-but-not-really fancypants cocktail bar & restaurant with a slightly pretentious, Williamsburg feel. I feel like they try to be fancier than they actually are, but whatever - dim lighting, candles on the tables - lots of dark wood furniture - yeah, we get it, you're OH SO POSH. SO POSH. The cocktail list here is pretty darn fantastic. I will give them that. Was going to stick with a classic Old Fashioned (made here with demeara sugar, old overholt rye whiskey, angostura bitters, stirred, on the rocks), but decided to go rogue and order a drink called a "Staycation" which was Del Maguey Mezcal, Old Overholt Rye, Fresh Orange Juice, Rasberry Syrup, Angostura and Bittermans Tiki Bitters. I didn't even know what two of those ingredients were, but decided that after tons of Moscow Mules earlier I wanted something decidedly sweeter as my nightcap and sweet it was...without being disgustingly so...but definitely interesting. I do appreciate that it didn't taste syrupy and think that using Rasberry Puree would have given this drink a nicer texture - I did like that it was garnished with fresh mint because that always smells nice and adds an air of aromatic pleasantness and automatically makes anything refreshing so that was a nice addition. The other two gals I was with also got cocktails. One ordered a Hemingway Daiquiri (goslings rum, fresh lime juice, fresh grapefruit juice, luxardo maraschino, shaken, served up) and if I remember correctly, described it as "this tastes like sex in a glass!" and my other friend ordered a Oaxacan Wino (Del Maguey Mezcal, Red Wine Reduction, Antica, Carpano Vermouth) which was also interesting and I wasn't crazy about it upon sampling it, but I think she liked it. Being hungry, but not *too* hungry we also ordered a cheese burger with fries to share amongst the 3 of us. We ordered it well-done (since 1 out of the three of us doesn't like any sort of rare-ness to her burger) and it was surprisingly juicy. I'm more of a medium-rare kinda gal, yet the meat wasn't dry or burnt so I was pleased with the small piece of burger I got to consume. The fries were ok. Not the best, not the worst. Overly seasoned and my bestie commented on finding them salty and that was definitely true. They're a little thicker than shoestring fries and they left the potato skin on them which in my book is a plus, but if they can learn to lay a little off the seasoning and salt then they would be significantly better. Here's a good motto I just created: "Be heavy handed with booze, not salt". Yeah, I'm a marketing genius. Service here wasn't all sunshine and lollipops, our waiter was slow in asking us for drink orders, slow in bringing us our check...no refills on water...dunno man, I know it was late, but that's not how to build a fanbase or repeat patrons. I went to OTB for some food and cocktails on a Saturday evening. There was no wait around 8 PM on a Saturday. I was curious what OTB stands for so I asked the server who said it stands for Off Track Betting. Makes sense because there is a horse theme inside. The service is pretty standard for Williamsburg. Not overly friendly, but also not bad. They have a nice cocktail menu as well as a decent selection of wine and beer. I ordered a bunch of different menu items and enjoyed just about everything that I tried. Probably my favorite was the curry mussels and fries. If I was in the area I would definitely go back to OTB. read more

I have heard great things about this place from a few people and went to go check it out with the girlfriend after work. When you walk in you are hit with a beautiful bar and general decor. It all works together and makes for a warm, inviting place to sit and have a drink. The menu is huge with a gargantuan list of whiskeys and other spirits. The first thing I noticed is that some of the prices were completely out of whack. Everything was super overpriced. I settled on a perfect Manhattan for $11 - It was very good. For dinner I was told the OTB burger and fries is a must have. I ordered it medium rare. It came back a little undercooked for ground beef (really rare) but it was well seasoned and very tasty. The toppings were not listed but it was some sort of mild cheese and what seemed like a spicy relish. The fries were above average. The GF got a French onion soup that was above average as well. We were still hungry to we finished it off with a apple compote - it was ok. So - why 3 stars? The prices. The service was great, the food was above average and the cocktails were on point. But $18 for a burger and fries? Get outta here. It wasn't that large and frankly, was just an above average burger that was slightly undercooked. French onion soup was $12. 3 drinks 3 food items tax and tip came out to be almost $90. That's crazy pants for upscale bar food. I would come back, but only on payday. read more

Their cocktails are superb, in particular the Belorussian (think a white russian with pineapple, lemon & orange and honey to liven it up) and one whose name escapes me with vodka, watermelon juice and a cayenne pepper rim - perfect when it was -20 outside.... I am always on a mission to find the best wings...I may have found them here at OTB. You can get them any way you like: grilled, fried, saucey...not saucy. I went the healthier route and got grilled + no sauce, and they were delicious. OPTIONS! The best part of the wings though were the often forgotten side kick, the fennel...YES FENNEL. Very refreshing alternative to celery, my journey to find the best wings may have just gotten shorter. While Im not a big drinker, I will always try one cocktail before I move onto beer. It is obvious that a lot of thought has been put into each and every drink, from the tradition manhattan to my favorite the Mary Fizz - Hacienda Reposado Tequila, fresh lime juice, honey and sparkling wine. This will be a great drink for the summer with the weather finally clearing up. The bar is beautiful, and I am excited to try the rest of the menu. OTB is super chic with just the right amount of maturity. I asked for a strong beverage and Russell recommended the TKO. It totally lives up to it's name. At one point I just sat there and asked a friend to pass me my water *insert real tears* . The TKO was so yummy. I enjoyed my drink with the mac & cheese. This is not "Karen's mac & cheese." It's quite possible that someone named Wanda or Shirley made it (you know what I mean). Nom nom nom. I love the ambiance and the service. Hopefully I can come back for date night. 100% will come back again. Their food was so good. Got their burger (medium rare) and chicken nugget waffles. Their burger was juicy amazing flavorful fresh all the good adjectives. Chicken waffle was even more impressive: the waffle was soft but crunchy and ~moist~ and their fried chicken juicy fresh hot crunchy but oh so tender. While recently working down the block we stumbled in for Sunday Brunch based on the interesting menu in the window. The name of the restaurant is nowhere to be seen on the outside of the building. It seem to be a trend in hipster Williamsburg as all of the restaurants on the Broadway seem to want to confuse you rather than encourage you come in or remember them! Well I'm very glad that we did go in... The Miso-congee With Lobster... butter poached lobster, homemade kimchee, poached egg, grilled ramps & cured cucumbers... was absolutely SUBLIME!! I had never had congee before. I love it. This is such an interesting combination of flavors and it is spectacular. The Huevos Rancheros... homemade tortilla, two fried eggs, green chili sauce, avocado, black bean pico di gallo... are a huge portion and were also packed with great flavor combinations. Their Homemade Kimchee is also spectacular. I'm glad we got there for brunch... the daily menu seems a little more pedestrian. I would certainly give it a try though... OTB is A-OK. Really nice decor and staff but it just seems like another pretentious Williamsburg business that offers basic food at a marked up price. I stopped by for the happy hour wing special that isn't advertised on their menus or chalkboard. The chicken was undercooked with a reddish inside. The staff was willing to prepare another of the meal but it just didn't seem to be worth it. It'd be a real shame to pay full price for that. I also got one of the specials of the night: the crab roll. It came with fries. It was pretty good, but nothing that really blew my socks off. With it's extensive alcohol menu, OTB seems like a nice place to go for a drink but I wouldn't say as much about the food. read more

I just got back from brunch with the wife. The place was empty outside of two other patrons....and I have no clue why. OTB provides one of the better brunches in the neighborhood. The food is great. I always get the wings when I'm here. They only give 5, but they're huge and super tasty. That, combined with their signature $8 Aperol Spritz....you just can't go wrong. The burger admittedly is pricey for what it is, but the quality shows. Most of the other items on the menu are pretty fairly priced, and they have a really good drinks menu. Top quality, and affordable for Williamsburg. What's not to love? read more

The service made me feel well taken care of, the aesthetics of the restaurant were creative and interesting. I felt comfy and the restroom sign is...interesting (you'd have to come see it). While my food was well prepared it felt like they used too much spice. Not that it was burning hot, but the fries and burger used similar blends and I found myself resorting to the condiments and water much more than I usually would to try to clear my palette. Came here to have some oysters and beer. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw they had fried pickle chips!!! I had just came from omasil in the city that had offered delicious blue points for $1 so I was expecting the $3 oysters at otb to be better but it was neither better or worse. My friend and I ordered about 3 dozen . But I would've rather paid the $1 for the blue points. the fried pickle chips were delicious!!! I will definitely be back for those! Holy hell, the chicken nuggets and waffle. Don't let the words chicken nuggets scare you. They make these themselves and they are expertly prepared. The waffle is so light and tasty, and they serve you pickled cherries along with a gravy, hot sauce and Maple syrup. Why cherries? Cut them in half and eat them with waffle. You'll find out, I don't want to ruin the experience beyond saying it results in what I think is one of the best chicken and waffles inspired dishes ever. It's such a treat. The staff are attentive, constantly filling our water whenever needed and always being cordial. The space is chic, and the drinks are great and unique. This place is definitely a treat and I strongly recommend visiting. read more
