Fun speakeasy cocktail bar in SoHo. Was a bit hard to find as it's downstairs and someone comes up to meet you before letting you in. The drink menu is large and diverse and the bartenders are there to answer any questions you have. We sat at the bar and it was fun to watch them make the drinks, looked like they were doing chemistry!

Cute little speakeasy in the heart of the west village. Fun, aesthetic and sexy for a date night. The 3 stars is for the espresso martini that was not keen. I'm not sure what they do with it, may be signature to them but It didn't taste or look right (looks like an iced tea). One bad drink experience however, our server chase was awesome !

Time to buzz the tower was an incredible drink. Loved the coconut flavor and it was so smooth. Super well balanced and was very easy to drink. Loved the concept with the door bell. The vibe inside was intimate and super cool. The service was good and bartenders were knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend!

The ambiance here is nice with an underground kind of vibe. The drinks are really pretty and cool that they have food/snack options, we got popcorn. Drinks are kinda expensive though.

Loved everything about it (make reservation to avoid wait)! Our bartender was super patient, humorous, and talented. She made great recommendations. The drinks were to my liking as well. The ambiance is dark and not too loud. Great for dates or friend gatherings.

Ordered: Thirsty Ghost (~$19): Seedlip Grove non-alcoholic spirit, rose water, jasmine tea, honey, and lemon juice Aya's take: This place is incredible. I would consider this the upper echelon of speakeasies. If you can get in, you better go. We decided to just walk in as a table of 3 around 6:45pm on a Saturday and luckily, there was a table finishing up and they were able to accommodate us. And did I really come here and order a non-alcoholic drink? Yes. The Thirsty Ghost has so many ingredients that I like and I was right. It was truly the best mocktail I've ever had - from the floral essence to the lightly sweet flavor to the ice cube with the Up & Up logo on it! It was a perfect drink. The Up & Up is definitely in my top 10 list for speakeasies & cocktail bars in NYC.

I love their menu. They have a menu by decades and love the uniqueness of the cocktails. They also have a few mocktails to choose from. You can also go outside the menu. I did have a dirty martini that was not on here. My husband Tony had the Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem/ 2024, which consisted of Old Overholt Rye, Etna Rhubarb Amaro, Creme de Cassis, Orange & Peychaud's Bitters. He LOVED it. I decided to go w/ a mocktail. I went with 2019's Happy Trails which generally has Suntory Toki Whisky, El Dorado 12-yr Rum, Blume Marilien Apricot Eau de Vie, Yuzu, Pineapple and fennel. It was really good but I've had mocktails in this taste profile that were around $14.00. They still charged the SAME $19.00. When asked about this, the mixologist said they put in the same amount of work/ time. Nonetheless, it's a cute, small speakeasy. This is the 2nd time I've been here and the waiters are always well versed on the drinks. Background music was a mix of 80s, LCD Soundsystem and the like. Good vibe!

I went on a journey to find some of the best bars in NYC, and this place is definitely up there as one of the best. Every drink I had here was phenomenal and I really liked the vibes of this place. Definitely get busy, but the drinks are worth it. I can't remember what I had, but all I remember is it was green and foamy and fantastic.

Clover Club (off menu) but a classic. One of the best I've had.

Such an amazing place. I suggest going through the week when it's not as busy as Friday / Saturday. Drinks are a little steep but it's NYC... it's worth it due to their craftsmanship.

The highlights for me were the wild mushrooms & rice cakes as well as the Caesar salad - loved the use of nori in the salad and would definitely come back for the mushrooms. The chicken cutlet and chicken dumplings were fine but I probably wouldn't order them again. The wait staff weren't super attentive nor super warm, but they were efficient when we asked for water refills, etc. There was ample standing room at the bar while we waited for our friends, but the table/booth that we sat at was super narrow, I was knocking knees with my friend all night and generally felt squished.

Our friends raved about this place and we of course were excited (and a bit skeptical at first) to try it. The concept: no menu + no lights + a few questions = the ultimate cocktail experience. The speakeasy vibe and the dark ambiance really makes this place feel even more exclusive. With just a few tables and the bar setting, you're in for an experience you won't forget (unless you answer the wrong questions and really end up with a drink you don't like HA). This wasn't my case. Of course I described my two favorite things: Negroni + mezcal. The obvious answer would be a mezcal Negroni, but that's not why one comes to a place like Attaboy. Our amazing curator came by to ask us all a few questions, write down a few words in the napkins, and mix up the perfect drink that our master bartender crafts, curates and creates. My drink came as I couldn't possibly imagine. It looked like a Negroni smelled like Oaxaca, with all the smoke simmering up and preparing my sensory experience, leading to the best first sip. Ladies and gentleman, I introduce you to The Devil's Backbone. A perfectly balanced drink I'll never forget, one that is sipped slowly and enjoyed thoroughly. It's sexy, it's smoky it's sipped. Attaboy gave the best mixology experience and we can't wait to be back. Pro tip: be sure to be as vocal as possible, even with ice, so you don't end up with a tiki drink if that's not your vibe.
