Quick friendly service. It's family owned, your server might be one of their kids. If you order the food spicy it will be one of the spiciest meals ever. Personally I can't eat really spicy food so I always order mild because even medium can be too much. Love the lunch specials. Parking is limited since it's surrounded by other shops. I've dined in and take out. It's a casual restaurant and their food is good! Lots of Thai options in Gardena but this one is my go to.

2026? Is that right? The price of lunch is crazy. The taste exceeds 20 dollars. The amount is really large. You can really feel the taste of Thailand. The salad fried rice is delicious and the amount is large. If it's close, I want to go twice a week.

Found this place on Yelp when we were going to an event at So-Fi. Pulled into the small parking lot and there was someone parked crooked where we could not park into the open spot for the restaurant. The other 3 open spots were assigned to the water store and tattoo place. My nephew went into the restaurant to see if the person was in the restaurant to maybe park their car better so we could park too and they weren't. The owner or person in the kitchen in the restaurant came out and moved their car so we could park in their spot so we appreciated that. We went into the restaurant and sat down and the girl working immediately brought us a carafe of water and cups. Since the 4 of us had not been here before we asked for more time before ordering. The place is very small with only a few tables and is decorated with unique items from Thailand and antique signs. First thing I noticed is how clean everything was in the restaurant, the ceiling fans, the lights, the fake plants hanging as decor and the items in the shelves. I didn't see dust anywhere, so that was great to see. We all ordered and decided to share since we couldn't take home leftovers. We got 2 hot pots, Tom Yum and Tom Kha both with chicken. We got a side of white rice and brown berry rice. The soups were very tasty and not over filled with pieces of lemongrass and other items. The Tom Kha was not overly coconut flavored and both had plenty of chicken. I would say our only complaint was the side of white rice is small for $6. Most places give you twice the amount for that price. This was the first time we had ever heard of or seen the brown berry rice when is a purple color. This is supposed to be healthier than brown rice and it was flavorful. We also ordered Pad See Ew and they were able to put the Chinese broccoli on the side for me and I appreciate it. I can't eat it so my hubby eats it. The Pad See Ew was flavorful and not overly sweet or drowned in sauce. The portion size was pretty decent as well. The other item we ordered was the Pad Thai. Plenty of chicken and items in it and it did have good flavor. Our server did come several times and checked on us and she kept our water cafe full for us. This place was a great little restaurant and we truly enjoyed dining here. We will definitely return when we are in the area. Sadly, we forgot to take pictures of the food though as we were hungry and in a rush to get to our event and forgot.

Friendly service. The lot is small so parking is rough if the spots are taken. It is also small inside so it's better for solo or small group dining. It's a hole in the wall but a friend and I wanted to try their budget friendly lunch special. You don't really find prices like this anymore. It was a cute small business. Family owned. The interior reminded me of Thailand. Lunch special portion was nice. Glad we had the chance to try. I'll definitely be back to try other lunch menu items !

Stopped by this small but cozy Thai restaurant for lunch with coworkers and was pleasantly surprised! The interior is so well decorated with vibrant colors and Thai-themed art. They had bossa nova playing in the background which lent a very chill vibe as well. The lunch specials are all reasonably priced. I ended up going for the Pad Thai as the waiter mentioned it was one of their most popular picks. Food came out fairly quickly and was decently portioned. The presentation was beautiful and the flavor of the noodles was pretty good. The rice was moist and the egg roll tasted fresh! Overall, it was a satisfying and filling meal! I would definitely recommend this place for lunch and look forward to trying some of their other dishes!

You can taste the fresh ingredients coming right through. This is like no other Thai food establishment. This is the best I've ever had. I keep coming back to have a different dish and they don't disappoint. The ambience is welcoming and cozy. They have really cute decor. The owners and staff are friendly and lovely. They're not fake they truly make you feel at home. Highly recommend.

Perfect quaint small spot in Gardena. There isnt much parking, but the neighborhood is around the corner. Went for lunch. Friendly service. Traditional thai menu. Lunch specials. I've been a regular customer for 2 years now, and I believe this is the best Thai food on the Pacific Northwest. My wife and I are enthusiast's for the cuisine and have samples Thai restaurants from LA, Oregon, Washington, and Alaska. So far, none have rivaled OTop Thai. We prefer the Pad Thai and the Yellow Curry, but the menu as a whole is delicious. We think the prices are fair, and the portions are generous.

Hole in the wall place it may be, but clean and good friendly service. The Boat Noodle soup is legit. The overall flavor is slightly less than what I like, but still very good. Since it is my first time here, I ordered the noodle with just level 1 spicy, which was just mild for me. Next time, I will bump that up to medium. Also, would like to point out the beef in the noodle soup were tender, too. There were pork and meat balls in there, like a happy family. I have to come back to try other dishes on the menu.

Delivery came when it was expected. The food was OK. I didn't like their pad see ew as much as I do from ya ya thai or three spices, but I did like the taste of the curry (wish there was more vegetables) and the thai tea was delicious. read more

Give it a try since it's so close to my house. We ordered spicy seafood soup, papaya salad and pad see ew. Everything was all good and the price is reasonable. The reason why I give 4 stars is because the entree shouldn't come before soup. They gave us pad see ew first, and then papaya salad and then the soup. Or it is the way how they server their food? Or maybe next time I should tell them i want soup before my entree. read more

Food is as good as it gets. I totally recommend this place. The location, however, is sketchy. Still, we feel safe bringing our 3 littles to this hole-in-a-wall Thai place because the food is worth it. Last night we had Pad See Ew, can't ever go wrong with that; yellow curry with vegetables--asked for mild and their version of mild is still my version of burning, so if you want mild, explain yourself; yellow curry fried rice--good and not repetitive with the yellow curry; Pad Thai (I don't like PT but my husband does and he liked it). The people next to us had some sizzling fish something that they loved, and another fish dish and they said the fish was great, super fresh. The employees are not exactly fluent in english, but very, very nice. Super sweet to my children and happy to answer questions about the food and menu. Others might take off a star for the fact that the location is iffy and the folks don't really speak english, but I don't care. Might even make me like it more because I know it won't be too crowded. Food is good but there were a lot of egg shells in my shrimp fried rice. I was a little disappointed because we've ordered from there before. My husband cut his gums on the egg shells. I would recommend the cooks be a little more careful when preparing the meals. read more

Did NOT try the food yet. Was at the Hawaiian restaurant next door ordering take out when i noticed this restaurant and decided to at least check it out. It has a fantastic original ethnic decor and thus a great atmosphere. They have a fabulous lunch special at $5.50. Their menu is economically priced. read more

okay it's been a while since i've yelped. 1. this is your typical hole in the wall, family owned restaurant. 2. the food is not the best ive had but it is edible. 3. their thai iced tea is pretty good. 4. since the employees are old family members, they are not the most polite people in the world. but i'm sure they dont mean it. 5. not in the most safest or cleanest neighborhood. BUT CALL ME IF YOU'RE IN TOWN!!! read more

I've only had their Pad See Ew with Chicken and Mango Sticky Rice and I am definitely coming back again. Close to me work and next to another very popular lunch place (At Home Kitchen), I didn't notice O-Top until my co-worker ordered lunch from here. Then I found myself craving their Pad See Ew and suggested we order from there for lunch again. Only thing is that we did not order from the lunch menu (online by accident) and the workers did not even mention that to us. Other co-workers ordered the Green Curry and Wonton soup, and they seemed to like it. The actual restaurant is a little small but when I went, it was pretty empty. read more

Found this place on a whim! Needed a central meeting ground, and I was craving curry that day, this place was great!! Shared the Tom yum soup, super tasty with the added chili's! Salad was delish and very refreshing! Both my lunch partner and I got the red chicken curry and it was perfect! Good sweetness from the coconut milk but not over powering but it was spicy! Just the way I love it! Between the 2 of us our bill was $15, not bad right? With sodas and soup! We'll be going back for more of that Tom Yum, great straw mushrooms and lime leaves make it! read more

Im only giving this place a 3 because of their delivery service. I love this place and the food is good. I ordered for deliver an hour before i have to go on my lunch break. I didnt get my food until an hour and a half later, the food was cold, and the delivery guy even asked for a tip. I only had 15 minutes to enjoy my lunch. read more

This place deserves a 5 for food but my review includes their delivery service. I am a huge fan of the green curry with fried tofu and chicken. Every time we choose to order from here I try to get something else but I just love the green curry. Everything I've tried from what everyone else has ordered (pad Thai, bbq meats, spicy eggplant, orange chicken, panang, pad see ew) has been delicious. I've introduced this place to coworkers and they love it. I've recently been disappointed by their delivery service. Many times they've said 30-45 mins and they have arrived 1 hour or more after. But I do have to say that the food is always worth the wait. read more

I consider myself a food snob. My wife is a chef & therefore I tend to be critical. Our Thai food options in the South Bay are slim to none. It's not easy finding quality Thai food & I'm thrilled & excited that we've found a great Thai Food restaurant & so close to home! The Tom Yum & Tom Kai soups are exceptional as is the Pad Thai. Love this place!!! It's super homey, the food is great and reasonably priced (or almost a bit too cheap for what you get). All the servers and cooks are very friendly. My husband and I go there at least once a week. We usually order Tom Kha Kai soup with extra creamy. Probably the best Tom Kha in town. It's definitely worth trying! read more

This place is always reliable in terms of getting tasty pad see ew (Thai stir fry noodles), and BBQ pork ribs. The food's delicious, the prices are reasonable, and you get free thai ice tea when you purchase over a certain amount. I would definitely recommend this place. read more

This was the LAZIEST, place I have ever eaten from. I ordered the spicy tom yum and asked them to please add noodles TO THE SOUP. They said they could and would. My boyfriend ordered the spicy pad thai, his plate was a complete mess, hardley any chicken and it was dry. My noodles came smashed into a container, hardened to the point that I couldn't get them out, they didn't even seperate once in the soup. The soup smelled like spaghetti and would ya know what it tasted just like marinara sauce. It was awful. We will NEVER eat here again. I rarely leave reviews but this place warranted one. read more

Did they change ownership or management food has tasted different than before the last few times I've gone?

Just ordered there and the dishes we usually got were so bland... the owner before was so nice. It looks like she moved back to Thailand and sold the business. The food was so bland and the Thai tea was yuck... no more going here.

The majority of the broth bases are definitely spicier and more flavorful. The first couple times I came, I thought the condiment bar was kind of lacking but I've since changed my opinion of that. I've tried a few different flavors at this point. I now feel it's not really necessary, most of the bases are flavorful enough that the food doesn't need dip. One of my favorite parts of hot pot is concocting my dipping sauce, so it took some time to remember I don't really need it. The service is friendly, the cashiers and cooks smile and seem kind. It's pretty straight forward, you pick your items and base and take a seat and it's brought to you. I feel like it's very clean all the times I've gone.

The rice was great. It had good heat, wasn't too wet, and had ample amounts of chicken. Whilst I did enjoy the fried rice, the flavor were slightly muted in what I imagine a perfect fried rice to be. Either way, it was delicious. My friend's chow mein was a little strange. The flavor was good but it tasted like there was excess starch or something on the noodles creating a strange texture and flavor. Shrimp was good, though not incredibly fresh. All in all, I left satisfied with the fried rice and would consider coming back to try some other menu items.

It was super soft and fatty and ended with a heavy pleasant fishy flavor. The miso grilled cod was great. Not much to say about it was almost creamy and the miso was good. I ate the skin too and it tasted great. The main part of this place is the soba. The kikouchi soba are thicker 100% buckwheat noodles that were very well cooked and pleasant to eat. The Plum "Ume" broth was so refreshing and nice. I ate it cold; I probably would have preferred it hot but the is just a personal preference. The Ginger Pork was great. The pork itself was super gingery without being too pungent. The shredded cabbage was super easy to pick up and eat and the side of noodle salad and miso soup were great complements to the meal. I can tell no corners were cut anywhere and that Otafuku puts a little of effort into every meal they prepare. There is great care for all of the preparations and it was a very special meal. As a courtesy, the restaurant definitely should have informed us about the delay.

his place is my current favorite Thai restaurant in Gardena. It is a small place with limited parking area, but I did not have any problem finding the parking space for all of my visits thus far. My strong recommendation is their all day specials which consists of your choice of main, egg fried rice (Choice of brown rice instead will be an extra $1.), salad, fried wanton, and egg roll. For your main, you can choose which primary ingredient to be used for your chosen dish, and you can choose from chicken, pork, tofu, shrimp, or beef. By the way, you will have 15 choices for your main so you should definitely find something which you will like! Their service is good, but I really like their prices. By the way, many seem to order a pick-up using the Yelp app so it can be your another option to try their delicious food! read more

Food was great, server was ok, really cool looking place.. just make sure you check your cups before serving water on them... the cups are black & I was really hungry so after my meal & three cups of water I noticed that there was three pieces of dried up food stuck on the bottom... very fucking disgusting.. but is ok because they offered a 5% discount... wow... the owner is a piece if shit, the least they could of done is come out & apologize but instead they sent the shy stuttering server to offer me a 5% discount with his head down. The bill was $32 that's a little over $1.50 I'm guessing they thought I made the complaint because I looked like I needed a discount apparently ‍I will never eat here again read more

I am totally addicted to their food. My favorite dishes are Pad Ki Mao (Spicy flat rice noodle with mint leaves), Panang Curry, Mongolian Beef, and Tom Yum Soup. Especially their Mongolian Beef is totally different from the one you expect at a Chinese restaurant. It's so tasty like I cannot even describe. I always love Thai food and try whatever Thai restaurant I find. It is just sooo great that I don't have to drive all the way to Thai town in Hollywood to have great Thai food since this small tiny restaurant opened in the area. They don't take credit card? Very tasty food you know. I was completely satisfied with everything and I guess it's not my last time ordering food here. Chicken and pork were super good and the whole plate was tasty but I liked chicken and pork most of all. The portion size was solid I felt pretty loaded at the end. The delivery was right and legit. My order was delivered just when expected, no complaints. So, as a result it's a really good place to have tasty food where you can get everything right. Recommend it for sure. read more
