Initially, we thought we would order the lobster - then we saw the rest of the menu!

Once upon a time, this Faerie Queen was lured by the posted photos and the menu. So glad we stopped here! Try the dimsum! We all left with full and delighted bellies! The end.

I absolutely love this place! Their wonton noodle soup is my go-to--comforting, flavorful, and always hits the spot. I also can't get enough of their taro smoothie, which is perfectly creamy and just the right amount of sweetness. I order through Postmates at least three times a week--that's how much I genuinely enjoy their food. It's consistently delicious every single time. Whenever we order the duck, it never disappoints--perfectly cooked, rich in flavor, and always satisfying. On top of the amazing food, the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. Whether dining in or ordering out, this place has definitely become one of my favorites!

The Singapore Style Pan Fried Noodle, Salt and Pepper Chicken Wings, and Half Roast Duck all tasted good overall.

I've found my new spot for real good Chinese and it's right here in Gardena. Top BBQ has it all. Really friendly and attentive staff. A beautiful and comfortable dining area. And the food is so delicious and plentiful. I was happy with everything. The sweet and tender char-siu. The crunchy and flavorful crispy pork belly. The delicate yet succulent roast duck. All the side plates perfectly complimented my meal. Definitely looking at returning.

I came here for lunch with my husband and we pretty much ordered our go-to items... with the addition of the duck noodles. The broth was so good and perfect for the cold and rainy day. Service was quick. Ambiance was pretty quiet and lots of open seating. We paid cash so we got 5% off our bill. There's nothing like some good ole comfort Asian food. This place is located right off the freeway with plenty of parking in the plaza.

Delicious whole duck! One of the best Ive had! $33 I4. ROAST DUCK.

This used to be South Bay decent Cantonese cuisine and BBQ. Their roast duck USED to be so delicious and full of flavor and juicy tender meat with crisp skin! My family and I have been eating here since they opened. I haven't been in for a few months because their prices has always been pricey and some dishes are just not affordable anymore for the quantity they give you. I also heard the 2 different owners partnered has split up. Today we stopped by since I came back to town after a vacation and picked up some food for my family before heading home. Their were 2 roast duck hanging in their showcase. Looking dried and shriveled, not too appealing. I asked if they have anymore inside and the chef said those are fresh, all made today. Ordered 1/2 duck, and 1/2 soy sauce chicken chicken. Took like 15-20 minutes to prepare it. (Which before, all it took was like 5 minutes to cut up and box it up) as I'm sitting there waiting, I watched as the BBQ chef went to kitchen get the soy sauce chicken on a plate with plastic wrapped around the plate. It looked like the chicken was cold, brought out from the fridge. He cut the chicken and took it back to the kitchen to heat it up and then brought out again to box it up for me. The Roasted duck and the chicken looked and tasted like day old meat. I've been eating this all my life so I definitely can tell if they are fresh or reheated. Obviously to me, it was reheated. It might or might not be made today but it was a big disappointment. :-( It just didn't look appetizing, when I got home, tried it and the meat was chewy, hard. The skin on the duck was soggy and the chicken skin looked like it shrunken and fallen off and they just places on top of it. See my pics below, showing solid evidence of comparison. Might just skipped it from now on and go try the new 99Ranch market that has Chinese Cantonese bbq station in the market. The whole duck is $4-$5 cheaper. ( $33 vs $38) I'm all for supporting small businesses, but this was just unacceptable.

If you like Cantonese Chinese cuisine, this is my current favorite in the South Bay Beach Cities area. You can save a lot of time (and fas money) not driving to Irvine, San Gabriel Valley or Chinatown with the OC, SGV and DTLA areas taking 45 mins each way from Redondo, Manhattan, Hermosa, etc Cities. The quality is really good. The prices are 2025,as opposed to being fixated as I am about my notion of what food should cost that's an antiquated perspective of the 80's or 90's eras 30+ years ago. Since the prices would be hard to change, I think the portions could be amped up to balance out the dining experience

    Maybe 2/3s

I'll preface this by saying I have ordered this place every weekend on doordash for almost a year, I have also been to this place in person a bunch of times, I always get the full peking duck, sometimes I have also ordered 2 or 1.5 or even twice in a week. That being said it was really great and consistent for almost 9 months, good portion, cooked well, something I looked forward to. But the last 3 months, the consistency of the portions and quality really dropped significantly. Even the way they prepare it was really different, cut differently quite a few times. Pieces and parts of the duck clearly missing, undercooked, a half order or less delivered. I just don't understand why they would allow this sort of thing for solid customers, I have even referred a ton of friends to go to this place. I'm not sure what's going on here, but I am extremely disappointed. I play sports and work out a lot, then to receive less than half a portion for a very high price and leaving me starving, is just truly unacceptable.

We have been coming here for a few months now and it never disappoints. My favorite is definitely the shrimp wonton in chili oil. The cucumber salad is also a hit, never knew how well it could mess with peanuts. The beef chow mein is another great dish as well and today we decided to try out the shrimp fried rice with garlic. There was chunks of garlic in it which won me over, and with some chili oil on top made it even better. The service is always on their game here asking us if we are good. Today they had some duck left over so they came to ask if we'd like a dish of duck with rice or in soup. We decided to try it and glad we did. That broth was delicious. This is a very family oriented restaurant, so come on down and bring the fam. Plenty of seating space and parking outside is plentiful. As always we will be back!

Ohhh man. We actually found this place on a whim. We had originally put our names down for The Pan, but it was an hour wait. Walking past Wawa Claw, we found Top Bbq&Noodle! For our first time here it was delicious! Servers were extremely attentive! Food came out quickly, everything was top tier! We ordered quite a few dishes but each one, yummy! We recommend the Beijing Duck, the fish filet in black bean sauce, pan fried green onion pancakes, to name a few! We ordered more but those were definitely our favs! If you're in the mood for Asian food in Gardena, this is it!

What a great find! My friend and I have been going through our list of local restaurants to try and we finally made it to Top. The inside of the restaurant is pretty large and airy with lots of seating available but I'm sure it fills up quickly. When you first walk in there's a lobster tank to the right, you can see the peking ducks hanging and the scent of seasoning fills the air. We got here for an early dinner (4:30) and got to sit where we wanted. The young server was really attentive and left us to check out the menu while he went to make the thai tea I ordered. We started with the salt and pepper fried tofu and OMG!!!! I could buy this appetizer everyday. There was a little citrusy flavor to the seasoning and the crispy tofu was tossed with sliced jalapeños and green onions. There's no dipping sauce for this appetizer and that's perfectly fine but we did dip it into the chili oil for an extra zing. For our main meal my friend orderd the kung pao chicken and I got the pork belly and rice. We enjoyed every bite of food. There's a lot to choose from in the menu--seafood, rice dishes, fried rice, noodles (fried and sautéed), a variety of beverage options, and several appetizers. Just know that if you're going for the dim sum they stop serving those at 3. A casual eatery that we're excited to go back to. And when you're ready to pay just know you gotta go up to the counter ;)

Came for last minute dinner with family. My first time here but my family are regulars. The restaurant is spacious and seat quite a bit of people. The food was slow to come out and had a couple of our orders mixed up but there quickly fixed the problem..we have the fried tofu, duck, pork BBQ, beef and asparagus and the crispy pork belly. Food was all around very good. Will definitely be back just for the fried tofu.

The good: I chose this place because of the spacious interior because I have two toddlers who can't sit still in their seats. I got the shrimp asparagus dish, the 3 meat combo plate (duck, char-siu BBQ pork, and chicken), and whatever B2 was (beef with carrots and bell pepper stir fry). They had fresh/live lobster in a tank in the lobby area. They played top 40 pop music. The interior is large and is good for hosting larger groups. The food came out in a timely manner and the portion sizes weren't too big. I liked that the asparagus still had a bite to it and wasn't overcooked. The bbq duck was meaty and not overly greasy. Overall, the meal was pretty good but wasn't necessarily the best Chinese I've had. The workers there were friendly with my toddlers. The interior has a casual feel and a lot of interesting photos on the walls. Family-dinings style is the way to go here. The bad: The beef in the B2 dish was tough. The interesting: There's no outdoor seating but this is pretty standard for Vietnamese/Chinese restaurants. Rice is a separate side order for main vegetable/meat entrees. They sold some Vietnamese dishes as well and had Vietnamese art inside.

As soon as we walked in we were greeted and seated. I had looked at the menu ahead of time and convinced my friend that we should order "meal for two A". All this and we received some kimchi banchan! We were not expecting a feast! The wonton soup was warm and flavorful with plump wontons and bamboo shoots, and peas...just so good! Yelp had this place on its list of recos, but there was something about this place that drew me in... ... and it turns out, I have actually been here before. But it has been about 30+yrs since, waaaaayyy before my Yelp years! (SIDE STORY: My GodMom and grandparents used to live a couple of blocks away from here and we often ordered food here back in the day.) They are incredibly popular. All their tables were occupied (granted, there were only three or four) but patrons coming through were non-stop. Staff were efficient as well because given the line (there were three people ahead of me) they got us outta there pretty quickly. I went for half white rice, half noods, black pepper chicken and fried chicken/wings. (NOTE: they packaged the wings separately so it doesn't get soggy from the black pepper sauce - love this!) They were good at providing disposable utensils as well as sauce packets. It didn't take long before I was on my way back to work. Noods had nice flavorful chew. Rice was fluffy. Fried chicken/wings was crispy and savory with a slight hint of sweet. But the black pepper chicken was AM.A.ZING!!! There was so much flavor packed in every bite and couldn't get enough of it! There wasn't a lot of fillers either, so that's a plus. Highly recommending this! FOOD: 5. SERVICE: 4. VALUE: 5. They give you enough for a second meal. PARKING: Lots of space shared with others. Not an issue. OVERALL: 4.5. I couldn't stop thinking about the black pepper chicken that I just had to come back the next day to have it again. Paired it with orange chicken on that second run. Not as great, but it is one of their more popular items. (Most people ahead of me ordered it and the pan got refilled during both visits.) So it was a delight coming through here again as it brought back tons of memories. I even remember making many stops at the laundromat next door. Also drove by my auntie's old house. Ahhhh, good times! I shall return! If only for the delicious black pepper chicken!

It had a light and savory broth that was comforting. It had a good umami rich miso flavor and made for a good soothing start for the meal. Up next, we got to try the Fried Rice with Char Siu. The Fried Rice had a surprising reddish color that perfectly matched the char siu. It added a nice visual cue to the sweet, smoky flavor. The Ladybug Fried Chicken was my favorite. It was freshly fried, golden and crispy. I enjoyed the juicy and tender meat and the crunchy outside. It is served with rice, green salad and potato-mac. I wish there was an option to upgrade to fried rice because this fried chicken really paired well with the fried rice. Nevetheless, I did enjoy this chicken with the potato-mac as well. The potato-mac was creamy and was so ono. Overall, Ladybug Cafe is a solid spot in Gardena for some classic Japanese and Hawaiian eats!
