    Tiramisu
    Holmes B.

I had been wanting to try this joint for a while and somehow always got sidetracked but tonight I was close by and finally stopped by to try it. It's a really beautiful space with wine bottles everywhere and glass panels that allow you to dine and people watch if you wish. I started the meal as usual, with a glass of Pinot Grigio and decided to try two pastas and an antipasto as well as dessert to end the meal. Antipasto was the gazpacho and stracciatella salad that was very light and refreshing. Then I opted for both the Cacio E Pepe and Paccheri Doppio pomodoro. The Cacio e Pepe was good but not great. Sauce was too rich and decadent than I would've wanted to be and therefore pecorino cheese was overpowering the dish...I've had better in town and not far from there. The pomodoro pasta was a little better but again, nothing too memorable although both dishes were cooked perfectly al dente. The tiramisu also left a lot to be desired. I guess I came with higher expectations and was let down. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't a bad meal but it just wasn't what I expected to be. I will give it another chance because they have a pasta special in weekdays that would allow me to try other dishes. We shall see next time. Oh, service definitely was excellent.

Okay so I just got back from Japan where I did multiple omakases and then Miami hits me with an ITALIAN omakase. Otto & Pepe, what are you doing to me? I genuinely did not know this was a thing and now I can't imagine a world without it. I'll be honest, my first thought walking in was "okay cute but these portions are going to be tiny." Wrong. So wrong. Every course was generous, beautiful and absolutely delicious. And every single pasta that came out? Cleaned the plate. Every time. No exceptions. We had zero shame about it. Also, want to mention Ramiro, who was wonderful from the start, super warm and welcoming, walked us through the their menu & how things are done at the restaurant, really made the whole experience feel really intimate and special. You also get to watch them cook right in front of you, and the smell alone is worth the price of admission. Like, I almost forgot I was in Miami for a second. Now. The fried mozzarella. I dream about it. Literally. It lives in my mind rent free and I am okay with that. Cacio e Pepe?! Chefs kiss! And the tiramisu, listen, me and my boyfriend are not dessert people at all. Like, we usually pass. We did not pass. We demolished it and considered ordering another one. Italian omakase sounds like a fever dream but Otto & Pepe makes it feel completely natural and completely necessary. 10 out of 10, no notes, just go!

A cute dinner spot in Wynwood with indoor and outdoor seating. The mushroom pasta was amazing, and I'm still thinking about it today. It tasted like there was beef, but it was a fully vegan dish. The pistachio salad was very nutty and savory. The avocado helped keep the flavor light while the dressing was rich and creamy. Dessert did not disappoint either. The pistachio gelato was amazing, so so creamy and full of pistachio. The tiramisu was also delicious. The lady fingers were perfectly soaked with coffee and the cream was just right. Service was also good, with the waiter checking upon us enough without being too much. All in all, I enjoyed Otto & Pepe and want to go back today for the mushroom pasta!

I recently took six clients out for a business lunch at Otto & Pepe, and it was an absolute standout experience from start to finish. The restaurant has a beautiful, upscale yet welcoming vibe that set the perfect tone for a productive midday meeting. The food was exceptional. We started with sharing the vibrant Pistacchio E Basilico salad, the Carpaccio di Carne, and a Carpaccio Branzino. For mains, the pastas stole the show, especially the Macccheroni Lobster 'Nduja, the Calamarata Funghi, and the Spaghetti alla Nerano! Every plate was beautifully presented, packed with fresh flavors, and executed perfectly. The portions were generous without being overwhelming, ideal for a business setting where you want to focus on conversation. No one had leftovers, and we didn't leave filling overly stuffed. What truly elevated the lunch was the outstanding service from our server, Oscar. He was attentive, professional, and seamlessly handled a table of eight with warmth and efficiency. He anticipated our needs, offered great recommendations, and made sure everything ran smoothly so we could concentrate on business. Oscar's care and expertise made the entire experience feel effortless and special! Otto & Pepe is now my go-to spot in Miami for high-end client lunches. Especially since most of the nicer restaurants in Wynwood only open for dinner. If you're looking for delicious Italian-inspired cuisine, elegant ambiance, and top-tier service, look no further. Highly recommend -- we'll definitely be back! Thank you, Oscar and the whole team!

We were looking for a place near the Spectrum art fair and stumbled across Otto & Pepe, which I had heard of but never been to. So glad I did! We were able to walk over earlier than our reservation and they graciously sat us right away. I had their version of a mule which was glittery and perfectly balanced. Our server Oscar was great and quickly took care of us. We had the meatballs to start SO GOOD! And then I had the cacio y Pepe which was fantastic and my friend had the lasagna which was a very generous portion. We finished off with the pana cotta which was perfectly light and a great way to end the meal. The ambience was a vibe and they had some bangers playing. Had such a great experience and would definitely come back.

Otto & Pepe was approved by my Italian friends so have to give them 5 stars! The food was really good, I tried the meatballs, and two of their pastas: tagliolino and tagliatella alla bolognese and they were both tasty. We also shared the panna cotta for dessert. The server was super nice, gave a few recommendations and didn't pressure for us to leave even though they were about to close. Decoration is nice, there is an outside area with a beautiful mural that reminds you that you are in the middle of Wynwood. They have a wide selection of wine and a nice bar in the middle of the restaurant.

Otto & Pepe is the kind of Italian restaurant that makes you feel like you've discovered a little secret in Miami. It's intimate without trying too hard, elevated without being pretentious, and everything tastes like someone's Nonna is cooking in the back -- but with a modern twist. The pasta? Outstanding. Silky, perfectly al dente, and the sauces taste freshly made, not heavy or overdone. The tagliatelle is a must if you want something rich and comforting, and the gnocchi practically melt in your mouth. Everything feels handcrafted and thoughtfully balanced. Service is warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly -- the kind of team that checks on you at the right moments without hovering. The entire space has this cozy, romantic energy that makes it perfect for a date night, girls' dinner, or a solo treat-yourself moment. If you want an Italian spot in Miami that feels authentic, special, and consistent every single time, Otto & Pepe absolutely delivers. I'll definitely be back -- especially for the pasta.

My gentleman and I were attending an event in the Wynwood area & needed to eat before our event. After debate back and forth we found on this restaurant on Resy reservations that would allow up to eat and head out on time for our reservation. The restaurant is nicely dimmed, cozy with sitting tables and a sitting at the pasta bar watching the chefs cook up. They were accommodating a bigger party with about 10 people and the service and attention was still amazing. I would have preferred a table since I was worried that we would smell like food. Unfortunately the waiter said all seats were reserved. I wish we would have known that we were sitting at time of booking reservation. Especially since their was a cancellation fee for this reservation. So keep that in mind. at time of reservation that we were I was really hungry and asked if any complimentary breads available and we were told no. After the waiter saw the look of disappointment and provided us with complimentary bread. The bread was perfectly crispy. We were in between dishes but the waiter suggested the Lasagne. He said it was a good shareable size. ( we didn't want to get too full... so opted to share). The lasagna was a hit for both of us. The tomato sauce was tasty and sweet. The meat was perfect. Each bite you tasted all the flavors of the pasta, meet and sauce. Of course we both enjoyed a glass of wine or two with our dish. My gentleman friend ordered Tiramisu to get a sweet bite. He said it was excellent and another perfect bite to end the meal. Walking out we looked over the wine bottles selection that they had displayed for purchase A great selection! The waiter was super nice and gave us a wine tasting samples of a few wines. If I would be in area I would go back and definitely recommend to my family and friends. Since we walked over from the hotel to the restaurant.... I am not sure how the parking availability is. Besides the yummy dish the staff made the experience a 5 star!

Otto & Pepe had a very chic and chill vibe, with absolutely delicious food. I ordered a custom mocktail, taking a spin on an espresso martini, and they did a great job creating something custom and delicious. The cheese, the sauce, the pasta- really it seems like you can't go wrong with anything on the menu .

You know us and Italian food! Since we were planing to dance at a club nearby, my lady friend and I decided to stop here for dinner. We found a reservation thru Resy with plenty of time before our show and got a spot as the pasta bar, watching the creativity at work. On our waiter's confirmation, we shared their meat lasagna and loved it! The noodles were a little past aldente and well loaded with meat, cheese and a yummy sauce. The sauce was a little on the sweet, reminiscent of younger years favorite Steve's Pizza. Their tiramisu, sprinkled with cinnamon, was a great closing act. Full disclosure, there was a little oopsie on the beginning since we didn't automatically get bread. However, our server made it right! The cracked bread was perfection in carbohydrate form. This restaurant also has wine for sale, and our server even gave us a tasting of a red and a white. It's great to find a nice Italian spot in Wynwood!

We had a great lunch at Otto! The space is small but beautiful. We came on a Sunday afternoon and it was empty, which made me nervous, but it was great. After a little bit, more people came in. We sat at the pasta bar which was beautiful, and we watched them prepare the meals in front of us. Our waiter was prompt, and helped us decide what to order. We started with the PARMIGIANA DI MELANZAN, which was fried eggplant, sauce, and a bunch of cheese. It was delicious. The fresh basil really made it. It was a nice start with some red wine. We then ordered two of their fresh pastas to split. We tried the PACCHERI CON RAGU DI SALSICCIA PICCANTE. The pasta was cooked perfect. The sauce was great. And the spicy sausage was grounded into the sauce, which i wasn't expecting, but it was nice. We paid extra to add stracciatella on top and it was so worth it to have the soft cold cheese to pair with the warm pasta. The second pasta we had was CALAMARATA CON RAGÙ DI FUNGHI SPUGNOLE E TARTUFO. If you like mushrooms, YOU MUST GET THIS. It was delicious. We splurged and added fresh shaved black truffles on top. I loved the shape of the pasta in this dish. It was amazing. I can't wait to take my family here another time.

Place feels laid back and comfortable. Inside is kind of small and cozy with nice extended back patio area. Open kitchen. Food was solid. Extensive wine list. The branzino carpaccio was delicious! My wife really enjoyed her funghi pasta, was very tasty. The service was not good. Took forever to get things. Had to ask for water multiple times. Gave higher rating due to food and ambiance but service would ding lower.

Delicious and unfussy Italian classics in Wynwood. The ambiance is lovely. Sit at the bar to watch the action. You must get the calamarata con ragu di funghi and the buratta. If you have room, the tiramisu is great too. The cocktails are so fun. We got a Caprese highball and peperoncini margarita. Highly recommend.

It came up to about $40. We enjoyed a bottle of chardonnay - nicely cool and crisp - while chatting and enjoying the game. I think they just have bottles, not wine by the glass. I'd certainly recommend Magie for a casual date night, or nightcap after dinner elsewhere. The patio with string lights and all does seem cute for a quiet evening.

From the second you pull up the driveway, you are greeted by rolling rows of vines and an atmosphere that instantly makes you drop your shoulders and relax. It completely lives up to its name--the vibe is effortlessly mellow, sophisticated, and incredibly welcoming. Here is why this place has officially become my absolute favorite spot: 1. The Wine & Food Pairings are Masterful The culinary team here clearly works hand-in-hand with the winemakers, because the pairings are flawless. We started with a crisp, beautifully balanced white blend paired with an artisanal charcuterie board featuring locally sourced cheeses and a phenomenal house-made fig jam. For the main course, the slow-braised short rib literally melted off the bone, and when paired with their estate estate Syrah, it was pure magic. Every bite was an absolute home run. 2. Breathtaking Atmosphere & Ambiance The design of the restaurant strikes the perfect balance between rustic vineyard charm and modern elegance. We sat out on the covered patio, which offers sweeping, unobstructed views of the vineyard. As the sun began to set, they lit the fire pits and turned on string lights, creating an incredibly romantic, warm glow across the entire space. It's the kind of environment where you just want to linger for hours over dessert and another bottle. 3. World-Class Hospitality What truly elevates Mellow Grapes is the service. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable without an ounce of pretentiousness. They walked us through the tasting notes of each wine, shared the history of the vineyard, and gave us brilliant recommendations based on our personal palates. The pace of the meal was perfect--we never felt rushed, yet we were perfectly looked after the entire evening. The Verdict Mellow Grapes is an absolute gem. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion, planning a perfect date night, or just want to treat yourself to an exquisite meal and fantastic wine, this place delivers on every front. The passion behind the food, the wine, and the hospitality is evident in every single detail. I'm already counting down the days until my next visit. As others have stated, Magie is good in concept and we'll likely return here, but with just a bit…read moremore effort on their part this wine bar could be so much better IMO. Unlike some other reviewers that scoffed at the prices of the wine, that didn't bother me so much. We had a bottle here that cost $55 and it retails for about $28; I was OK with that, as all restaurants and wine bars have a markup above retail, and even when you go to spots like Happy Wine or El Carajo and pick out a bottle to drink while in their shop, they charge a corkage fee for that. What I did have a problem with is that, after the "service charge" and other fees were added on, our $55 bottle rang up to more than $73 in total, which was ludicrous. When we first arrived at Magie we were met by a young guy who pointed out the bottles and where the various charcuterie items are located in the coolers, and we were then pretty much left on our own. We really just wanted a glass of wine each, but unlike places like Vinoteca, here at Magie they had a very limited selection of wines by the glass, and the ones available all seemed to come in single-serve cans. We picked out a bottle to share, went to the register, paid and the guy opened it and handed us 2 glasses. When I returned to get napkins, the guy just motioned to where the napkins were so I could grab my own (after moving a delivery cart out of the way by myself so I could reach them). Again, though this place includes an automatic "service charge", we received zero actual "service" unless one considers the 45 seconds it takes to uncork our bottle and charge us for the purchase. We had a seat, had a glass of wine each and then re-corked our bottle of wine and took it with us. Overall I think Magie is a great concept with lots of potential. The inside seating area is interestingly decorated and outfitted with lots of eclectic furniture and items on the walls, and the relatively large patio seating out front with tables for 2 to 8 people is shielded from the adjacent street/traffic and shaded by lots of trees and greenery. The ambiance overall is really very nice. The service, however, was non-existent, especially considering the automatic charge for that, and while prices of at least some wines aren't terribly out of line, the fact that all the service charges, taxes and fees added $20 to the cost of our bottle was a bit of a shocker. Magie should consider adding more wines by the glass IMO. Not just subpar quality single-serve cans, but decent wines, poured from a proper bottle with a topper that preserves the wine between pours like most every quality wine bar commonly offers. Lastly, while I don't think anyone expects linen napkins and white glove service, the paper plates and plastic cutlery customers are given to eat with are a bit off vs. what this place appears to be trying to be and the prices charged. The "F*ck Brunch" positioning statement on the back of the staffs' shirts was an interesting touch.

As soon as we sat down, I politely asked if we could be moved. The manager then told me that I had booked bar seating, which is simply not true. Why would anyone reserve bar seating a month in advance for Valentine's Day? I checked my reservation confirmation myself and it never stated that, and I even tried making another reservation to verify ..bar seating wasn't even an option. He told us he would "see what he could do," and we were left waiting at the bar with no water, no menus, no service, and no communication whatsoever. Meanwhile, we watched multiple couples get seated at proper tables back-to-back. At one point, we even overheard another couple say their reservation was at the same time as ours, and they were seated at a table immediately. When I tried to politely ask for an update, the manager or owner completely ignored me. No acknowledgment, no apology, nothing. I was honestly in shock at how disrespectful and dismissive they were. We ended up getting up and leaving because of how uncomfortable and disrespected we felt. Valentine's Day is supposed to be special, and this restaurant completely ruined that experience.
