Great Italian restaurant! It is a pasta based restaurant, where they make everything in house. The manager, Ramiro, helped us select wines from the wine shop, and even showed us around! We saw the chef making the pasta in the windows when you come in, and you can sit at the pasta bar and watch everything made in front of you! My husband and I shared the polpette manzo, paccheri branzino, and a tiramisu. Everything was delicious! The pasta was al dente and perfectly salted. Will be back! read more

My friends and I visited on Friday and really enjoyed the welcoming vibe and great atmosphere. Our waitress was very sweet, but unfortunately, the overall service didn't meet expectations. Drinks took a while to arrive, and we were served only three pieces of bread for a table of five. The server even mentioned they were overwhelmed with too many tables and warned us that the food might take a while, which we understood. However, even with delays, we expected more attentiveness, like refilling empty water glasses or checking in to see if we'd like more drinks. At one point, both our wine bottle and glasses had been empty for over 15 minutes without anyone checking in. We waited 30 minutes for dessert, and only received it after flagging down another staff member to ask about it. The food was good, not amazing, but fairly priced. For a restaurant that includes a 20% gratuity automatically, the level of service definitely has room for improvement. read more

Went here randomly on a early night. It was my first time and I was actually pretty hungry. When I say as soon as I walked in, the freshness of the restaurant hit me. It smelled great. My server Tiffany was excellent in choosing what we should have to eat and it was most definitely the reason why I'm coming back. We had the salad which was located in the " Not Pasta" area. Pastas were simple & not over done, we love that! The ingredients all tasted fresh and great together. Portions were good & not exaggerated, so we were able to try 3 of their main plates. Tip: SAVE ROOM FOR DESERTS. Yes, plural! You need to try both the Tiramisu & their Brioche con gelato. Their take on a spicy marg is also a must, "PEPERONCINO MARGARITA". Recently attended a birthday there and an inside table had been booked. Unfortunately, due to some guests being late, they couldn't sit us inside despite the place being empty. Ok, I get it... service, however, was below average. Took forever to come help us and the "sommelier" had such bad attitude that the whole table was surprised. For my main, I ordered the Tagliatella alla Bolognese, and let me tell you... WOW. The pasta was perfectly al dente, the sauce rich and savory, with that slow-cooked depth that only real Bolognese has. My girlfriend had the lasagna, and after one bite, I had major food envy -- it was layers of comfort and flavor, perfectly balanced and absolutely delicious. My experience at Otto e Pepe was disappointing. When we entered the hostess made dismissive remarks and talked about us in Spanish to other staff, which felt unwelcoming. Once seated, service continued to disappoint. My ID was taken for scanning and I was not served a glass of wine for over 10 mins while the waitress began to chit chat with other staff and look back at our table. Plates were left uncleared, and no cheese was offered with the meal--a surprising oversight for an Italian restaurant. The food was underwhelming, especially the pasta, which was bland and mediocre. It felt like something I could easily make at home, and I'm not a chef. Throughout the night, staff and managers spent more time chatting among themselves than attending to guests. Our table, along with others, waited unnecessarily long for food and assistance. The automatic 18% gratuity felt completely undeserved. Overall, Otto y Pepe's unprofessional service, uninspired food, and lack of attentiveness made this an unpleasant experience. We stopped in as a family of four for a quick dessert wine after completing an art tour (As an aside, we returned from Italy two days ago). The experience was surprisingly off-putting. My husband asked for a Moscato, and the host reacted as if it were an odd request at 4 p.m. After we were set, a female server then cleared our paper placemats from under our glasses and belongings -- a small but rude gesture that made us feel unwelcome. Perhaps we would get comfortable and order a cheese plate or dessert- at that point, the option to dine was recused. I didn't proceed to order pasta since I sat at the pasta bar and saw the process. The pasta is sautéed mostly in water than the actual sauce and is drained prior to being served with a slotted spoon. The cheese utilized for the sauce appeared to be the Kraft grated Parmesan... Not authentic. read more
