Quality has significantly gone down as of late, last few weeks or so. Having the JV squad working a busy Saturday morning is not the time for the new or newer people to be working. First time to this business yesterday, 8/8/2018. I ordered a half pound of Boar's Head Bologna, a half pound of Boar's Head Salami and the "Major League" sandwich (chicken breast, bacon, lettuce, tomato and mayo). I had no idea what to expect...the sandwich was excellent!! Seriously, I go to Long Island about 6 times a month for work and it is very hard to find a good sandwich. Absolutely Terrible, Was overcharged this morning for an egg sandwich, I was standing there with my son wondering how the total was just about $16.00 for an egg sandwich and 2 iced teas. I questioned the deli clerk and asked for a receipt, he looked at me like I was asking for the combo to the safe. He printed out the receipt and after I looked at it there was 2 charges for 4.99, He didn't apologize for his calculated error and he couldn't figure the sales tax on 4.99, Terrible and Do Not Recommend this Deli read more

Excellent sandwiches, hot foods, and salads (especially the potato salad!) There is an art to making a sandwich (for example thin slicing the protein), and these folks do that automatically and top it off with the freshest ingredients. Other deli's in the area don't compare to what Otto's accomplishes. Friendly staff, quick service, and they wear buttoned down shirts and ties for a nice professional presentation. Grew up one town over in Bellmore, but left NY 20 years ago. I MISS the bacon, egg & cheese on a roll like nobody's business. I went to Otto's for breakfast and all the magic happened. It was great customer service and the best breakfast sandwich in 20 years. read more

Ottos catered a large party for my family last night... and have done all our catering in the past.... I cant tell you how many compliments we received about the food.... it truly was amazing and everyone who wasn't in the know was asking where the food was from.....the staff is always friendly...the owner has gone out of his way on more than one occasion to make sure that everything was top notch. I would recommend catering from Ottos to anyone!!!!! thank you for an amazing spread of incredible food!!! Excellent deli, they truly have it all down pat. It's always a good sign when there are several polite, middle-aged men working behind the counter. It reflects that this place does good enough business to have terrific employees. The food is always fantastic. There's only a few times I shy away from my usual spots for a delicatessen. Otto's was one of those times that I decided to try them out and was pleasantly surprised. I keep trying to like them but because i always did but i am disappointed every time. Every time i ask for my bacon on my egg sandwich very well done, i ask them basically burn it, its still rubbery and flavorless. Their ice coffee always tastes like water. I now go to Beck's for breakfast, their eggs sandwiches and coffee are way better and cheaper! read more

My husband and I usually get egg sandwiches from here every weekend, but we decided to give another very popular, nearby deli a try. It's big, bright, new location was packed with customers. We figured this is gonna be good. Well, it didn't even come close. I think we were both surprised actually, because of all the rave reviews we've heard. We usually get the Breakfast Bash hero (soooo good) from Otto's, and decided to try a similar sandwich at this other deli. Not only did it cost more, but it wasn't nearly as satisfying. Otto's hero bread is more substantial, and the Breakfast Bash can easily feed two. Not so with the other deli's hero. So, although our Sunday breakfast left us sad, it just made us appreciate Otto's even more. We will never stray again! read more

Came at 2:00 on a Sunday . Line was real long .... for the twenty minutes I was there I didn't see one employee smile. I went to order eggs only to find out they don't serve eggs after 12. I then placed an order only to be told five minutes later my order slip was thrown out by accident can I please repeat my order. Loooove Otto's. I always go here to get a sandwich before going to the beach. They also have a great selection of salads.

This deli is horrible now. It has moved to a difficult parking lot and the workers are rude and unhelpful. They are also very slow. A working put hot liquid into a container that burned through and burned me. NO one would help me or refund me. The worker was nasty and did not help either. I will never go back. read more

I am so glad this deli is in my town. Although it is on a secondary street, nestled among houses, it is a gem of a deli. The staff is amazing and it is the epitome of a neighborhood deli. When you enter you feel at home. Pleasant conversation and joking around with the staff and customers is common. Their breakfast sandwiches are great as well as their regular/specialty sandwiches.Try the roast beef....it's Boars Head, but hey cook it themselves......heaven. A lot of delis today are big and grand with a million choices (this is not such a bad thing), but for good, homegrown service and food, Otto's is the place. read more

I'm going to have to revise my rating. This deli is no longer a 5-star experience. This especially goes for breakfast. So Pros: rolls/heroes are super-fresh, prices are good especially for breakfast. Cold cuts for lunch and potato salads also good. What's not good: too much microwave. They microwave fully cooked bacon for the breakfast sandwiches or any meat that you order hot. Also - they will mess up your order sometimes. I'd say they get things right about 50-75% of the time. It looks like they don't care sometimes either because it is a relatively semi-busy deli. read more

An old school German deli the likes of which has virtually disappeared from Long Island. The freshest Boar's Head cold cuts, home cooked roast beef and hands down the best homemade potato salad out there. The soups are spectacular (only served in cold weather) and the clerks are dressed in white shirt and tie and are always happy to help. read more
