I came here on a Friday for winter 2025 LI restaurant week. We were able to get a reservation for 4 at 6:30pm and they had three separate sections for dining. We were in a section that included a live singer and made for great ambiance. By 7:30, every table was filled. For restaurant week, I chose the 4 blue point oysters, the 6oz filet mignon and the cheesecake. The oysters were great and subtly briny and the filet was cooked perfectly (though the potato and vegetable side were pretty underwhelming). The cheesecake was considered Italian and was very lumpy, grainy and I did not like that style. We also ordered the brussel sprouts, grilled octopus and creamed spinach. The brussel sprouts were the highlight of the meal - highly recommend!! The grilled octopus was cooked perfectly The creamed spinach was a tad salty but yummy They also half bottles of wine which was a happy medium for my party My sister got the mussels, lamb shank and tiramisu as her restaurant week choices. The lamb shank was an incredible portion and so flavorful. Really an old-school dining experience you don't really see much anymore. Service from start to finish was top-notch. Came for my grandma's birthday and they ending the meal all coming out to sing for her, plus a complimentary tiramisu for her as well. The watermelon salad was fantastic, and we could not stop eating from their fresh bread basket! The shrimp cocktail was so fresh, large, and well-cleaned, the cocktail sauce amazing! Pistachio crusted cod was very good, substituted with mashed potatoes. They were very accommodating for dietary restrictions and preferences. Where did this restaurant come from? We stopped in for dinner with two families - everything was very good. Step into the dining room and you will forget what the parking lot, entryway and bar looked like. Service was all very good, felt like we had our own personal water glass refill server. Steaks are expensive - but not as much as the steak for two or three at the high-end places - BUT those porterhouses are not cut as thick. Great menu variety. Very much enjoyed. Love coming here! It's so quaint and cozy. A real family establishment. Everyone is so wonderful here. The service is always top tier. We've never had a bad experience or bad steak. They are always consistent, whether it is super busy or not. The food is always delicious. I usually start off with the slab of bacon or if they have zucchini fries on the specials menu i got those. The burrata salad is excellent as well. For entree recommend the rib eye, it comes of a sizzling plate and the server will plate it for you. Literally one of the BEST STEAKS you'll get on the island. If they have brussel sprouts on the specials menu, I highly recommend getting those as a side, they are incredible! read more

What a hidden gem, went with 2 other couples to end out restaurant week and this restaurant is serving some of the best tasting food around. Everything is fresh and delicious and service is outstanding. Old style charm with a large wooden bar area when you walk in... bartender making top notch cocktails. Extensive wine menu as well. This is an Italian steakhouse serving sizzling steaks as we saw them being brought out to our neighboring tables. Highly recommend , definitely a new favorite for everyone at our table. read more

Food was very good. The staff was able to make the chicken dish (from the specials menu) gluten free. It was delicious. My niece and I split it and we were satiated- not too full. Husband loved the chicken piccata. It was pretty busy that night and we had to make a quick reservation. It wasn't loud, but a little tight. People passing behind us kept bumping into our chairs. The service was outstanding from start to finish, and Coco at the bar deserves a special shout-out--hands down one of the smokiest, most perfectly balanced Old Fashioneds I've ever had. The baked clams were delicious, the bacon had delicious flavor but the main star of the show was the steak. Cooked to perfection, mouthwatering and tender. The ambiance was nice and was dimly lit. My husband and I came to Toto's recently for a rare date night out. It's never a place that we would normally choose to go to, but a recent TikTok showed us some delicious food that they had there. We're definitely glad we came. The ambience is definitely old school mixed with a little strangeness lol it's weird to leave the main dining area to go to the bathroom and be in the lobby of the hotel. Regardless, the food and service were both excellent. We started with the brussels sprouts and the slab of bacon. The brussels sprouts were fantastic. The bacon was a little bit too smoky for me. But that's personal preference, I don't love smoky flavored things. For my meal, I had the gnocchi with short rib and it was probably one of the best things I've eaten in a very long time. My husband had a steak and he said it was cooked perfect, and the butter in the sizzling pan was the perfect compliment for it. The cocktails were great and for dessert we had the carrot cake which was fresh and moist. It is definitely on the pricey side, but nice for a date night out or special occasion. read more

Went here for a function recently. Really solid food and a very nice staff. They looked like they did an overhaul on the restaurant and it looks much nicer. I would like to start the new year with a favorable review at Toto's, however our New Year's & a birthday celebration, were dampened by our waiter, Guillermo. His demeanor towards the table requires improvement. Request for orders taken for drinks & food were not cordial. More like "what do you want to order". We felt like we were a bother. A drink by a guest was not to their liking, and a change request was met by a huff & puff attitude. In spite of the circumstances, and as New Year goodwill gesture, we paid the bill with a generous gratuity, which was not even accepted with a "Thank You". Other than the aforementioned exchange, we enjoyed the food immensely, as well as the welcoming hostess and supporting help staff, who were more attentive to our table. Came here to celebrate a birthday and my expectations were blown out the window. The service was impeccable, staff were extremely friendly, accommodating and attentive. For our meals we had the buffalo Mozzarella, lobster bisque, stuffed shells with fried mushrooms, margaritas, mojitos, prime rib with polenta, and lobster ravioli. Not a single complaint! If I could give this restaurant negative stars I would. I cannot believe I just waited 3 hours of my life for bread, one appetizer, and steak. The waiter slipped his thumb into our sauce for our appetizer and even after saying something nothing had changed. Our steak was told to be coming out in "one minute" and after over an hour it finally came out. I am utterly disappointed as this is an issue with the management, how are you overbooking on valentines days, and letting people sit there for hours wasting their time. Our server on the other hand gave good service which reason that one star should be there. I am genuinely so angered and disgusted by how terrible this experience was, and I can guarantee I am not the only one with this point of view. read more

Do not expect fancy decor or Instagram worthy ambience, but if you want a delicious meal and great cocktail you have arrived to the right place. My wife and I came here for our 44th Anniversary. Mainly picked Toto's based on yelp reviews. Boy were the reviews spot on. The atmosphere superb very warm and cozy. We were greeted at door and led right to our table which they gave us a choice on where to sit. The food was fantastic. We shared the Buffalo Mozzarella appetizer was great. For our main course my wife had the Filet Mignon and I had the Surf and Turf. Both were prepared perfectly and very tasty. Would certainly have that again when we return. As a side we had the Mashed potatoes which were just like grandma use to make. We were going to pass on desert since we were both stuffed but they brought a tiramisu with whipped cream and chocolate sauce which spelled out Happy Anniversary. I forgot when I made the reservation on Open Table they asked if it was a special occasion. The Tiramisu was unbelievably delicious. On Saturday night 3/11 I had my 65th birthday party at Toto's Italian steakhouse They raised the bar to new heights from the beginning of the evening to the end of the night. 5 STARS From the Ambiance to the most professional servers,the drinks the appetizers ,to the incredible dinners they served to my 20 guests, EVERYTHING was the BEST. Came here for dinner on a Saturday for my birthday with a party of 9. The place is a little on the smaller side, so I would recommend reservations, especially if you have a larger party. Small size aside the place is incredibly cozy and well decorated for the holidays. There was even some live entertainment that showed up to perform songs who was great. What you're really here for though is the food. I had the T-Bone which is delivered on a sizzling plate for some fanfare, but optics aside it was cooked perfectly and delicious. We also split sides of mashed potatoes, broccoli Rabe (heavy on the garlic but I like it that way), creamed spinach, and fries, which were all delicious, the creamed spinach likely being the table's favorite. One thing to note, the regular entrees come with sides of potatoes and vegetables! But the steaks do not, so we did wind up over ordering a bit. The rest of my party had the shrimp scampi, chicken francaise, veal picatta, papradelle bolognese, the bronzino, and a short rib special; all of which was met with delight. Lastly for dessert we had tried the carrot cake, cheese cake, and lava cake, which are slices plenty enough to split for two, and these were just as fresh and delectable as the entrees. On top of the great food, what really stood out to me was the service. I regret not getting our waiter's name, but he was tremoundous, as were the rest of the staff. They were able to accommodate for my picky nephews with a smaller steak and chicken fingers, even though they have no explicit kids menu. On top of that, they were attentive, charismatic, helpful with suggestions. Attached parking lot can be a little tight, so be careful when maneuvering, but you shouldn't have a problem finding a spot. I'm always happy to try more local places and this one really shines in my eyes, I'd be happy to come back here anytime, especially if you're looking for a nicer sort of date night spot. read more

Koka, the bartender, makes some of the best cocktails we've ever had--her drinks are a perfect start to an amazing meal. Sime, the manager, took exceptional care of us, checking in several times to ensure everything was just right. Our waiter was attentive, knowledgeable, and really made us feel special throughout the meal. For starters, we had slabs of bacon that were done to perfection--crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, with the right balance of smoky flavor. For the main course, we ordered steak, filet mignon, surf and turf, and some of the best sides we've ever tasted: creamy spinach and mashed potatoes. Everything was cooked exactly as we'd asked--our steaks were tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection. Nothing was left on anyone's plate by the end of the meal. My wife took me here for my birthday and from the moment we walked in the door we were treated like royalty. Our server Sime was such a nice guy and made sure our experience was fantastic from the start. For appetizers we got the oysters and bacon slab both of which were very tasty. For dinner we got the T-bone steak, lobster ravioli and spinach fettuccine. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their dinners and we were all blown away by the flavor in each dish. Our party of 6 had lunch here a couple of Sundays ago. When we arrived for our 1:30pm reservation, we were the only diners. Shortly thereafter, another small group were seated but they were not busy otherwise. First impression was that the place was clean and neat although the décor is not fancy or necessarily charming. What they lacked in appearance, they MORE than made up for with the fantastic, friendly service and delicious steaks. One member of our party opted for fish and another for the ribeye but the rest of us shared two porterhouses. The steaks were cooked to perfection and were scrumptious. The sides we ordered were just okay, but we were well satisfied with the steaks, which was the main reason we came here. While this place lacks the ambience of the famous Manhattan steakhouses, the aforementioned merits and its proximity to where several in our party live makes this more than worth the price. At the end of our meal, one of the owners came to ask how everything was and they gave us a complimentary round of after meal drinks. The servers were more talkative than what you would encounter in most Manhattan steakhouses, but they were not at all annoyingly chatty. We appreciated their friendliness and helpfulness in deciding on what to get. Toto's certainly deserves a return visit and I hope they stick around. I'm going to give them a 4.5 (mostly for the steaks & service) and round up to 5 stars to encourage folks to check out this establishment. read more

Amazing new Italian steakhouse in Wantagh. This location was formerly Per Un Angelo which closed a couple years back. Toto's is beautiful inside with an incredibly attentive staff. The menu features great steaks, seafood as well as Italian dishes plus they had 6 or 7 specials on Friday night. The lobster bisque was delicious with some nice lumps of meat. The grilled octopus was amazing, tender and delicious with sautéed broccoli rabe, garlic, capers olives and cherry peppers. For mains we got the Dover Sole Meunière with White wine, capers, & lemon sauce which was very good along with the Salmon Broiled, served with mango salad and mango dressing which was also cooked perfectly. The rockstar of the night though was Toto's Aged Prime Steak for Three, sliced and sizzling and cooked to a perfect medium rare. This steak was one of the most tender and flavorful cuts of meat we've ever had! Highly recommend. Drinks were solid, they have an excellent wine list and a nice round of after dinner drinks on the house is always a great touch. For desserts we had the tartufo and also the tiramisu, both were enjoyed by everyone at our table. So the ambiance inside was very nice, the service was outstanding and the food was perfection earning an easy 5 star review. When everyone at the table is asking when we are coming back again you know a place has made a great first impression. It was my wife's bday and as it was a milestone bday, we wanted to go to someplace special. As we had plans afterwards we needed to stay relatively close to our next destination. A search turned up Toto. We had visited this restaurant under a previous incarnation and were well thrilled then, we figured to give it a go. We were immediately greeted by an employee who promptly had us seated. In fact they gave us a choice of three tables. Seated with menus the waiter took our drink orders. My wife had a Bulleit Old Fashioned and I a Bulleit Manhattan. Both were very good. (While they have a very nice Bourbon menu, including 2 Pappy's, my only minor criticism is there was not any cask strength bourbons on the menu. Please let me know when you do.) We started with slab of bacon, absolutely outstanding and then the Chateaubriand for two. We asked for rare and rare is what we got. Next time I will order "black and blue" as I am confident they can make that work. Mashed and creamed spinach as sides. Our son had a Chicken Wellington with veggies what he raved about. Service was excellent and though it was close to a full house, we never waited for service. Perfect! Music was provided by a singer who played the keyboards. He has a rather good voice and played at exactly the right volume. I can't speak to the dessert as we had bday cake at home.
