Service - sever disappeared after taking the initial order. Inattentive at best, negligent at worst. Food took about 40 minutes to arrive, same for drinks. Ambiance- the restaurant has beautiful decor. Very classy vibe. The DJ(s) were terrible. Very early 90s, and heavy Latin with the occasional Afrobeats thrown in. I came here to grab drinks with my guys and met the most amazing wait staff. Sana was our bartender and started us off with some delicious sidecars. We later went to sit down at the back dining area where Sadie was server we had the mini griot cups, Oula Shrimp, grilled octopus, and wings as our appetizers. But the service was terrible. Waited a long time for our waitress to take our order. Even longer to get the water she asked us about. Then insisted we put our food order in at the same time as our drinks. Entrees came while some were still eating appetizers. We asked about bread as I had read about the amazing butter. We were told they don't have bread. And then a long wait and never asked if we wanted dessert or coffee. We really thought this might have been the servers first day serving. The restaurant was only half full. FYI - even for only 4 people 18% tip was added (on top of the 3% credit card charge). Thought that was a bit unusual for 4 people. Wanted the oxtail but they changed up how the did a few thing so I deferred to pork chop. Nice and juicy and flavorful but the blackeye peas medley was the worse I've ever tasted. Lobster vodka pasta was flavorful but for the price and 3 very small pieces of lobster is the reason I'm giving this 4 stars. Overall will definitely come back. read more
