In Waco visiting my daughter and wanted to find a good breakfast place. This was exactly what I was looking for. This was about a 20 min wait which is expected for a Sunday morning. All staff we encountered were wonderful. The Texas Steak Skillet breakfast was the best breakfast skillet I've ever had!! I also had a side of Biscuits and Gravy that were just a good. Decent breakfast spot. I was with a group of seven on a very busy Sunday morning, but we had a table in less than 30 minutes. The service was polite and efficient, food was pretty good in terms of quality, though the corned beef hash is served up with no char whatsoever and that seems like something easy to fix that they really should bother with if they are going to have hash on the menu. The big minus for most of the dinners in my party was portion size. If it's got a pancake with it, you're probably okay, but my son ordered the crab cakes Benedict with a side of fruit and that meal really should have had another side with it. Crab cakes were thin, though the hollandaise was good and all eggs were served exactly as ordered. Had I been a chef sending that plate out of the kitchen, I would have needed to add some hash browns to it. I'd go back, but I'd be careful about what I ordered and I'd definitely be looking for another spot that will serve the kind of hearty portions that can satisfy more of the appetites I tend to brunch with. read more

I had avocado toast w/ over medium eggs and a cup of fruit, my wife got the Wisconsin scramble - both were served fast, fresh, and hot. Coffee was weak but we won't hold it against them. Crab Cake Benedict sounded really good but I hesitated to order because I'm usually disappointed with restaurant crab cakes. On top of that, hollandaise is difficulty I get right. (Ok, yes, call me a food snob) I decided to live dangerously and order it. I'm so happy I did! It was everything I was hoping for. I can not say enough good things about this place. My son and I were in town for a baseball tournament and stumbled upon Our Breakfast Place. The food was amazing! Ordered the Lemon Blueberry pancakes ( Special ). It was one big Pancake with lemon custard and warm blueberry purée. They complimented each other very well, very sweet together though and I unfortunately could not finish it because the pancake was bigger than my face. Their Arnold Palmer was so good. So so so good. Slightly spicy and too much for me to eat! The coffee was okay and I wish the cheese had been a bit more melted on both dishes, but over all this place hits it out of the park! Started with a 25 min wait, understandable on an early Saturday morning. We were checked for our temperatures as soon as we walked in and were seated. Our waiter came very quickly and we ordered. Drinks came out shortly after and we waited about 10 minutes for our food. Our water was really kind and attentive! The atmosphere was pleasant! The Ham, Bacon and Cheese skillet was delicious. As they say, don't judge a book by its cover. This place looks nice inside, clean and friendly looking atmosphere. However...the food is disappointing. I ordered the "classic breakfast". Nothing classic about it. Two small strips of mediocre bacon, watery scrambled eggs, bland tasting wheat pancake, wanted hash browns but all they had was boring roasted potatoes. No toast or biscuits included in the price. I realize that the price of goods have increased, but the cost of this breakfast far exceeds the quality. read more

So we had high expectations from the photos on Yelp! The food looked so delicious but the photos were deceiving. My party and I order crab cake Benedict's with potatoes and bacon. When our food came out it was the wrong item. So they brought our bacon and potatoes on separate plates with our main course still being cooked. By the time we got our main course came out the potatoes and bacon were cold. The crab cake Benedict came out and you could smell a horrendous fishy smell. It tasted just like it smelled. The potatoes was very good but that was about the only thing. It is my birthday so the waitress brought out a little pancake with a candle, which was a very sweet gesture.
