Important Reminder: Breakfast is not served all day on Sundays. They stop serving breakfast at 10 or 1030 (can't remember) We came for their breakfast however were told that they stop serving breakfast items on Sundays at a certain time. We decided to stay and try out other things on their menu. I had the hamburger steak with gravy and onions corn nuggets, green beans and garlic bread. The garlic bread I don't recommend as the garlic was burnt and you know how that can taste. The rest of my food was cooked perfectly and seasoned with what I like to call "seasoned to perfection". My daughter had the shrimp platter with fries which she cleaned her plate. The shrimps were huge compared to fried shrimps around this area, they were also fresh and flavorful. My Husband had the classic cheese burger which was good but he didn't rave about it the way I raved about my food . Thank you to the Manager on duty Jackie she was so kind and helpful to us while our visit here. We will be back for breakfast as a family as I am dying to try their French toast and perhaps other things on their menu.

Award-winning burgers cannot be denied! We had great service and juicy burgers with hand cut fries here. The service is friendly, and the decor is nostalgic. A very clean restaurant, and we are so glad we happened upon it during our travels.

Great service and delicious food!! The milkshakes are amazing and I was very happy with my chicken tenders. The portion sizes are massive though, definitely enough to share or take home leftovers! The place was pretty busy for dinner on a Tuesday evening, but everything came out quickly. Definitely seems to be a local favorite!

I ordered the chicken parmesan and my husband had burger and fries. Something funny about my meal- chicken parm is supposed to have regular red sauce- and it had meat sauce on it instead- like it was supposed to be for spaghetti. The piece of chicken was scrawny and tasted a hint of fishy. It was also loaded with fake parmesan cheese from a can, with just a tiny sprinkle of the real stuff on top. Also, the "garlic bread" that came with my meal was really just a piece of texas toast with some strange seasoning sprinkled on it, tasted horrible. My husband had the bacon burger and fries- he said the meat in the burger was bland- seriously lacked flavor. some of the bacon was raw, and some of it was near burned. The french fries tasted like they were fried in old oil that was used to cook fish, and the fries also had tidbits of other food stuck to them. On the plus side, the elderly lady that served us was friendly and fast. But based on our meals, if we were to pass through Ozark again, we won't be stopping at this diner... as the food was overpriced for that it was- and lacked quality to boot. read more

I'm impressed! We escaped the hurricane and wound up in Ozark, Alabama with a gluten intolerant daughter, a picky eater man and a dieting woman who were all hungry. The relatively new owner was so friendly and personable that we all felt perfectly welcome. The waitress and several other employees went out of their way to make sure our every detailed special order was done perfectly the first time. I could not think of anything they missed. There was ample accessible parking, an accessible entrance, and plenty of tables a wheelchair could easily get to. The bathroom that was at the end of the hallway was very large and the toilet was elevated in height for ease of disabled people to use. All that, and the gluten free onion rings, gluten free french toast, hamburger, omlette, corned beef hash, etc. everyone's order was delicious. The total bill for all three big orders was much less than expected, as well. We'll be back tomorrow! read more

OUR RECENT VISIT TO OUR PLACE DINER IN OZARK..... THIS PLACE SUCKS. If I could give this place a zero rating I would. My Husband, Mother, and Father went there yesterday for lunch intending to give some business to a local place instead of somewhere down the road in a bigger town. We sat down, had a very friendly waitress, got our drinks fairly quickly. Almost an hour later we still did not have our food, and the restaurant was not even very busy. We were on our way to Birmingham to look for a car, and really were pressed for time so my Dad when up to the counter and asked our very sweet waitress if she knew how much longer it was going to be, that we had been waiting an hour and still did not have food. She said she would check on it and told him that it was being made right then. My Dad said okay but if it was not being made that we needed to know so that we could leave and find somewhere else to eat. She assured him it was being made so he agreed we would stay. Dad came and sat back down. A few minutes later, an old guy who did not even bother introducing himself came up to the table and asked what the problem was in very brusque way. My Dad explained we'd been waiting over an hour, that all the people around us who had come in after had already started eating their orders, and we had to get on the road as we had an appointment in Birmingham to look at a car. He also asked if the old guy was the owner as he never even said who he was. The old guy, who WAS the owner, kept cutting my Dad off and saying that my Dad needed to "stop being rude to my girls". We were shocked... Never had my Dad been rude to the waitress, we knew it wasn't her fault. When the old man kept on about being rude and made the comment "if you want fast food you can leave and go to MCDonald's". Never an apology for the HOUR LONG WAIT for still no food, and very belligerent and self important. We said we were leaving, and the waitress came over apologizing for the wait as we got up. My Dad told her it as not her fault and asked her, right there in front of the owner, if he had been rude to her in any way. Her answer was a wide eyed and emphatic "NO!". Even with that the owner never apologized. Well let me tell you, we will NEVER go back to this place and we WILL spread the word about our awful experience. These Mom and Pop businesses should know they depend on locals to support and patronize them, and this guy's attitude makes me feel like he deserves less than ANYONE in Ozark's support. As a side note, this was my first time (and last) at this place but my Parents have frequented the place MULTIPLE times to support this local business, and still got treated like DIRT. Beware this owner and go somewhere that your business is appreciated. read more

I usually eat here once a week or at least once every other week. The atmosphere is laid back and comfortable. The food is fantastic and they have a wide variety of stuff to choose from. I would have to say my favorite dish is the hamburger steak with gravy and onions. Yum. As far as appetizers I would suggest the friend green tomatoes or the "Boomin" onion. Now the only complaint I may have is the service. 98% of the time it is fantastic but every now and then we end up with a server who is not very efficient at her job. But that doesn't stop us from returning. read more

We were still seated within 12 minutes and led to a comfortable booth. Tortilla chips and salsa followed. I enjoyed a well made margarita and the Tacos Locos meal. "Our Place Diner " In Ozark , Alabama . Publicly Accused My Family And I On Running Out On A Bill At Their Restaurant On Sunday February 23 ,2025 . Causing Complete Shame , Embarrassment And Humiliation Towards Us . I Gave The Waiter My Debit Card At The Table We Was Dining At . She Walked Away With My Card And Went To The Front . I Decided To Purchase Some Cake To Go, So I Walked To The Front Aswell . She Handed Me My Card With What I Assumed To Be The Reciept . So I Thought The Bill Was Satisfied .It Was Pretty Busy In There So If She Did Tell Me That I Had To Still Pay At The Register I Didnt Here Her . We Bagged Up All Out Food , I Got My Cake , Left A Tip In The Folder And We Walked Out The Establishment . We Even Chatted In The Parking Lot For A Little While So They Had Plenty Of Time To Make Me Aware Of The Un Paid Bill . But Instead They Waited A Few Hours And Publicly Posted Our Pictures Saying They Will Pursue Legal Actions Againt Us If Bill Isn't Satisfied. I stopped in today at 1:45 p.m, a quarter of an hour before closing. They were still serving food and taking orders, and I sat at my table for twenty minutes being ignored. I was never asked if I wanted to place an order, and eventually an older woman asked me to tell a customer her order was ready. I was not able to eat there today, and I never will due to my treatment. The absolute worst dining experience I have ever had. read more

Went there for the first time this week. Wonderful atmosphere and the staff were beyond friendly and helpful. Food was absolutely delicious. I had the grilled chicken salad and it was so good.
