Perhaps what she said was technically correct, but the way she said it completely ruined any desire we had to return to this restaurant. We moved to the area we were instructed to use without arguing or complaining. No one even apologized for the uncomfortable situation they put us through. As we were leaving, we took a quick look at the private room we had been asked to leave, and there was only one group of six people sitting there, eating and chatting. That made us wonder whether we had been moved because of prejudice rather than the restaurant's seating policy.
