This place is awesome! Our food arrived piping hot and was SUPER tasty. I choose the Chicken Fried Chicken and my dad chose Fried Pork chops. The only thing that wasn't a 5 was the gravy on my chicken. It had a slightly sweet taste that I didn't care for. The service is probably the best I have experienced in a long time. I was skeptical with all of the hype online, but when they describe the burgers here as the best in Alabama, it was the gospel truth. My husband and I both had the buffalo burger (locally raised buffalo meat!!!), his with a side of mac and cheese and mine with a side of fried green tomatoes. I absolutely love this place. It's a wonderful place to stop in at for a cup of coffee or a full blown country style meal with everything you want. The food is great and the staff is even better. I go here pretty often with friends and we always stay for about two hours each time because of the atmosphere and friendliness of the waitresses and owner. This place was absolutely perfect for my family of 6, with 4 kids all with very different pallets. The wait time was not long. Our waiter was very attentive and personable. We previewed the menu on the way and knew what we all wanted, until it came to the large variety of sides available. All dishes came out at the same time, which meant no one was stuck watching the others eat waiting for their food. The food far exceeded expectations, the portions were perfect. We only had 1 kid with leftovers, and that was because we all got to try each other's sides. We will definitely be back. read more

I used to love eating here but it has been a huge disappointment lately. Food WAY too salty, grumpy check out lady, food sitting in window because waitress went on break and the cook/s has horrendous timing. Food came out cold because of that. And no, it wasn't busy at all. Only 4 other tables. Very disappointing because this is a local go to place. I won't be back or if I go with a group, will only have a drink. Such a shame to see this place go downhill from what it was. Which used to be best food in area and best service a few months ago. So very sad. Fix the issue guys! read more

Was returning home from a funeral in Dothan, AL, and made the wise decision to stop at this classic diner. Great comfort food. The burgers were classic. Don't overlook the fried dill pickles and the onion rings. As good as they come. The desserts looked great but had no room for any. The breakfast menu looked great. This place has dissappointed me more than once. I went to back to back sunday lunches. The french toast was small and cheap. The second time they didnt have chocolate chips for pancakes and they tasted like bisquick made pancakes after that. Floors are sticky/dirty. Dont eat here. read more

This place has some awesome food, the Buffalo Burger has almost 0 percent cholesterol and is super. I really like the pork steak and spaghetti is just like home made.....you will not believe the portions...thumbs up my wife and I try and eat there ate least once a week. read more

My wife and I visited this restaurant because of the wonderful reviews. We were extremely disappointed. Fries tasted like they had been reheated in a microwave. The pork sandwich (231) was over cooked and not seasoned. We expressed our concerns to the staff and was told that they were sorry and nothing could be done. Stay away. read more

We love eating at Our Place. The food is great. The prices are reasonable. The people are very friendly. If you have a problem with anything they will make it right. We have never left there hungry or dissatisfied. Customers are number one to them. We eat there about 3 or 4 times aweek. Would probably eat more if I was home. I drove past this place many times, and thought that the 50 style building looked like a nice place to eat, and there are usually vintage cars outside. My wife and a friend actually tried the place out first, and she enjoyed it so much she said we had to go the next day for lunch. I order a burger and fries because that is the kind of restaurant we were in, and I usually stick to that rule. We had an order of fried pickles, and they were average. The burger came out, and it was one of the top 5 burgers I have had in this area. My wife ordered a chicken fried steak, and the serving size was good for lunch, but would have been small for a dinner order, but it tasted amazing. When I make it back to this place that is what I am going to get. It is a nice atmosphere, with good food. It is family friendly. We sat on the porch outside which was nice because it was a nice day out. The waitress said they are getting ready to improve their outdoor area and put a covering on it with fans, so the outdoor area can be used all through the summer. If you are looking for a nice place to have lunch then this is definitely a place to try. read more

Visiting family here from Austin and stopped in here for breakfast. It's neat, clean and no smoking (notable in Ozark). The breakfast was phenomenal. Soft over easy eggs, the most wonderful potato cake I've ever had (soft and savory inside and crispy outer), great hash, pancakes and homemade biscuits to die for.
