I don't get why the rating for this restaurant isn't at 5 stars. The steaks were cooked to what we asked, and the salads were great. Food came out in a timely manner and our waitress checked in at all the appropriate times. Atmosphere is typical of any Outback Steakhouse. There was one booth down for maintenance, but it was clearly labeled and nothing else looks worn down. Definitely visit if you like Outback steak houses. read more

It started with waiting at the table for 10 minutes while ALEJANDRO stood by the kitchen entrance making tongue between his upturned fingers at someone at the front door. He then went over to the bar and profusely scratched his head some more before making drinks without washing his hands while plucking lemonade and lime garnishes from the holder with his bare hands and putting them in the drinks. A gal with a vest came to the bar to make drinks. She scooped up ice then used her bare fingers to drop the cubes from the scoop into the glass. Then 2 breads shiwwd up. One from his forgotten request and one from the salad gal request. After a considerable wait the food showed up. He said sorry I haven't been around much.i asked if they still did the military discount. He said yes and came back to the Zoisk he skipped it to the pay before hanging it to me. I backed it up and saw that he didn't apply it. I was ready to tip off the health department since the last time we came in 6 years ago you served us ice tea with flies in it and more flies in the pitcher that you placed back on the counter and refilled more drinks with it after being notified of the bugs. Horrible experience. My spouse and I both ordered a blooming hamburger. The only exception was I wanted my hamburger well done and my spouse wanted his burger medium well. The cook brought out both and when I asked the cook which one was the well done hamburger, he used his finger and touched the bun of the hamburger. NO GLOVES! I told the cook I didn't appreciate him touching my food with his dirty finger as I don't know where his finger has been. the manager defended the cook, saying that his hands are clean and they do not use gloves at all in the kitchen. I have not been to outback for several years, 10 years at least. I ordered their largest prime rib for $30.00 and change. I ordered Medium Rare and it was not at all good. Went there recently and the place was staffed very well and we got sat within 10 minutes on a busy Saturday night. Our food came out quick and was so delicious. Our server was a very sweet younger man, he was extremely tall, he was almost towering over our table. He was extremely attentive to us and took amazing care of us. What a charming young man! I accidentally started giggling when he was taking our orders and I just wanted to clarify that it was not to him, my friend just said something silly and I couldn't help but crack a laugh. Last night I attended a Yelp event at Outback Steakhouse and I can't even begin to tell you how amazing the hospitality and the service was. The food was so wonderful, too. We got to try a good sampling of their menu and we were really impressed. We started with a steak quesadilla and the Blooming Onion as appetizers and they were both great. The Blooming Onion was so big that the four people at my table could barely finish it. It was topped with cheese fries and barbecue ribs. We got to sample dry-rubbed ribs and ribs with a honey sriracha sauce. I liked the sauce but it was pretty spicy, so if you don't like heat you might not want to order this. On both ribs, the meat was falling off the bone. My husband really liked the salmon topped with shrimp and a creamy sauce. The steak was pretty tender and the mashed potatoes were velvety smooth. The double chocolate parfait dessert was so so good! The staff was very attentive and made the event fun. Thanks for making this such a great evening! I last dined at Outback over 15 years ago and swore I would never go back. The food and service were not good. A neighbor had a gift card to Outback and asked my wife and I to go with them. We had a Bloomin' Onion which was very good and the dipping sauce was great. The waitress was super helpful and offered us different types of dipping sauce. I then had a Center-Cut Sirloin - medium well. I must say that the steak was perfectly done and it may have been the most tender sirloin I've ever eaten. Not over done. The baked potato was flaky and not over cooked. The mixed veggies were carrots, zucchini and yellow squash - hot and fresh. My wife had the Gold Coast Coconut Shrimp, which is actually an appetizer. There were eight big ones and had a tasty breading. All in all a very good dining experience. read more

I'm a bit behind some of my Yelp Elite team, but I also enjoyed the wonderful hospitality of the Outback team last week when we were treated to a selection of their tasty menu items. We started with the Bloomin' Onion topped with fries and ribs - oh my was it decadent! Our table of 6 paced ourselves and left a few scraps behind, but it had tasty onion rings and the 'toppings' were an added bonus. We also enjoyed steak quesadillas, which I would also highly recommend. The steak was juicy and tender and the flavors blended wonderfully. We then had the Blue Cheese Pecan salad, which was one of my favorite items. Even a number of people at our table who don't like Blue Cheese said this was delicious. I love Blue Cheese and I thought it was fabulous! Entree samplers were Salmon with a moderately rich sauce, mushrooms, and shrimp. It was nicely prepared and tasty. We sampled three types of rib preparations, with the Sriracha being my favorite, but it's pretty hot so not appropriate for the more timid. The dry rub was OK, and the wet ribs were OK too. They were all plenty tender. We also sampled steak with mashed potatoes, and the steak was another standout - nicely marbled and tender and very flavorful. For dessert - like we needed more to eat at this point :-) we had a chocolate parfait dessert that was light enough most of us dove into it and did our best and/or took the rest home for another try. Our final orders didn't take a long time and soon we were enjoying our meals! The kids meal mac and cheese went over really well. Our son announced, "This is so good, I can't stop eating!" I had a special menu combo of the Alice Springs Chicken and Coconut Shrimp. It was delicious and I finished every bite. The orange marmalade stuff that comes with the shrimp wasn't great. Wow, two visits now and both times they have warranted a five star review. Usually there will be some issues with the kitchen or the servers, but this time around we received awesome service by both. It has been a couple years since I've been to an Outback. When I used to go, I always had a few go to items like their Blooming Onions for an appetizer. So when I went this time and saw they had some new dishes on their menu, I was ready to try them. Starting off the night was the 3 point Rib Bloom appetizer. Take the always popular Bloomin Onion, top it with Aussie cheese fries, and crown it with BBQ baby back ribs and you have created the ultimate appetizer for the family. Something for everyone to try and get their appetites ready to rumble. Or is that stop the stomach rumbling? The best new main course item is hands down the Toowomba Shrimp topped with Salmon. The Toomwomba sauce and mushroom made the perfectly cooked salmon even better. I don't know what a Toomwomba sauce is but it sure is tasty and would have made soylent green taste heavenly. I usually don't get dessert but had to save room for the Double Chocolate Parfait. The whipped creamy chocolate layered with Oreo cookies made my mouth happy. Great Texas franchise doing things the Iowa way meaning they give you smaller portions and the food is rarely cooked right. The worst salad I have ever gotten came from this place.
