The only reason this place is getting a 2 is because the waiter was top notch. He was from Memphis filling in. First I'll start with, when I called to find out hours the lady was very rude. She wasn't pleasant upon arrival either. She actually would cut us off in mid sentence while trying to place our drink order. Never smiled and had the attitude of not wanting to be there. Once again, the waiter himself was top notch! We placed our appetizer order for the blooming onion. It was so grease logged when it came out. When our meals cane out one of the burgers was ordered medium and came out rare. Looked like the cow was still mooing. Sent it back and it came back the same way. Still cool in the middle. So we gave up on it. Another plate there were 2 hairs in the fries. The manager said it was prolly facial hair. The Philly cheesesteak was really good and so was the Mac and cheese. It seemed steady but definitely not the right amount of staff to cover. Not a very good experience and probably won't go back. read more

Crazy Outback!! What's up with there take away food? I order from here once a month and always the same thing, the Cheddar Bacon Burger, and every time there is a problem or something different. Last night there was no Bacon on my burger, and the fries, which they usually are very skimpy with, were more abundant but old and over done. There have been atleast 5 different changes in the type of bun and type of fries used, and typically if you don't say no seasoning on fries they come super salty. I just wish they would make up their mind and be consistent. read more

You have to give it up for consistency. Service is attentive. Food is reliably good. We ordered drinks, appetizer. They were delivered in 5 minutes. Meal with in 10. I know chains vary. So its nice to know a good one when you can find it. read more

Waited for almost an hour (they told me 20 min.) for take away. $31 and the food was stone cold. I'll never go to this restaurant or an Outback again. Such a shame because It's less than 5min. from my house. Outback chain is supposed to be really good but maybe their time is up. read more

Awful. We had a large party, and they told us to sit and wait while they had the manager come talk to us. After about 10 minutes, he walked up, had an obnoxiously long conversation with the hostess, and just walked off. After 5 more minutes of waiting, they finally seated us. And it's just getting bad. The server took our drink order, and ten minutes later we got our drinks. Then we got a new waiter. This one didn't even come around to ask for our order until 30 minutes into sitting. We asked him for ranch, and he gave us ketchup, and, when corrected, got frustrated, took care of multiple other tables and refilled their drinks, then came back with no ranch or refills for us. The food was underdone, the service was terrible, the orders were wrong, and it was all around a terrible experience. read more

This is the second time we have eaten at this location where our food has been served to us both cold and partially frozen. Both times the "solution" has been to throw it into the microwave. The first time that this happened it took 3 tries before the food was even close to being warm. The second time they solved it on the first send back however, in both times there has been nothing more than "we will fix this" said to us. It is against SafeServe regulations to serve food in the manner in which it was served on both occasions and some sort of compensation should be provided to guests when the services are literally UNSAFE for diners to eat. I marked this as slow because this is the second dine in experience that this has happened. This location is asking to be shut down by the health department if it does not solve its food preparation issues. read more

This was my third visit since moving to Jonesboro. We waited 10 minutes for our drink order to be taken. The service was terrible, (server: Kayla). I asked for the steak to be medium rare and instead it was medium well. We waited for silverware to even begin eating. We were seated in the bar area and it smelled awful. I will start off by endorsing the wait staff and managers; our waiter was very attentive and the manager I spoke with addressed my problem suitably. Yes, I did experience a problem - a couple actually - but I will discuss them one at a time. The first problem was with my cut of prime rib, while prepared to the correct temperature, was impossible to cut with the knives they provide; the amount of gristle and connective tissue made me think that I was trying to cut into chuck or blade roast, not prime rib. I called over a waiter, who took my complaint and got a manager. The manager instantly saw what I was taking about, and fixed the problem with a much better cut of meat. Problem solved, I was happy after a wait that seemed a bit too long; after all, they didn't have to throw another roast in the oven, did they? But I was happy with my new cut of prime rib, until ... Until the bill came: $90 with tip for two people and three drinks. Talk about sticker shock, I was expecting maybe $50 or $60 for our meal with tip but the drinks came in at a whopping $25. Also, Outback added something called LIQ, $4, and B&W, $2. I thought about asking what LIQ and B&W was all about, but I knew I wouldn't be happy with their answer; so, I decided to avoid the question altogether. The conclusion to all this is the next time I want prime rib I will not be going to Outback Steakhouse; instead, I will take my $90 to Sam's Club and buy a whole prime rib roast to make at home (I've always wanted to do that). Thank god we didn't have appetizers or desserts, I would have had to second mortgage my house! read more

Went to celebrate my birthday 11/6/2015, probably around 7:30. In the interest of brevity, I'll try to keep this to bullet points: 1) Service was next to non-existent. 2) Dr Pepper was awful; requested to replace it with Coke 3) Bread wasn't even pretending to be warm 4) Got silverware at least five minutes after I got my salad 5) Second loaf of bread wasn't warm 6) Server never removed unused dishes; we had to stack them to make room to eat 7) My medium rare filet was medium well 8) My date's medium rare sirloin was much closer to rare 9) My date's crab cake was bland, nondescript, like a mild salmon patty 10) I got my Coke after my steak was gone I've had lots of great meals and great experiences at Outback, and I'm still a fan of the chain, but I will never go back to this location. My date was the only redeeming quality of this meal. read more

I'm 10 yours old I went to the outback with my mom and grandma. Let me just say outback steakhouse is awesome their steak is great and so is the rest of the food delicious. I love that they put out GREEN APPLES my favorite on my plate awesome . The service was great everyone was friendly I normally come out of a restaurant not smiling but when I came out of the outback steakhouse all I could do was smile. The only suggestions I have are less pepper on steak, and more crayons for children. I love outback steakhouse! read more

They have a free blooming onion on Monday when Kevin harvick places in the top 10 the weekend prior. In the ad it states with any purchase but when you get to the restaurant they require the purchase of an entree. At least in the Jonesboro location. read more

we ordered appetizer but we did not get our drink order until after our entree arrived. Bread wasn't offered with our salad. we had to ask for bread until we finish our appetizer and salad. one of us ordered broccoli with pork chop but got mash potato instead. Server didn't check on us about the entree until we are half way through so by that time we felt it was too late to ask to tell him that we got the wrong side. The pork chop was way too salty and doesn't have any other flavor. the done-ness of Ribeye was accurate except there were too much gristle in the meat. I thought outback pride themselves in the quality of their meat but i got gristle in my steak every two to three bites. Dessert wasn't offered after entree. Manager came to check on us after server delivers the food but the server was standing next to her so we didn't want to bring up the problem to the manager at the time. server was nice overall but is not personable and seemed a little flustered with the business of the pace. read more

Took our girls and friends to Outback for dinner last night. Restaurant was packed and the staff did a great job getting parties seated as quickly as possible. I have to say that as busy as it was, the service was great!!! Our server was on top of everything and our food was yummy!! You can't beat the Alice Chicken and the kiddos Mac N Cheese was a'hit!' Steak was cooked perfectly. We appreciated the manager stopping by our table to introduce herself. We will definitely be back!! read more

This place is just a few minutes from our house so when my in laws came to see us, we decided to eat out before they leave. Oh my, it was a mistake. We were seated after a few minutes but waiting for someone to take our orders and then waiting for the food was like eternity. It took them a long time! Generally when I am reviewing a franchise restaurant I am not really reviewing the chain so much as the individual location. With a franchise its generally pretty obvious the type and quality of food you are supposed to be able to expect from an Outback, Chili's, TGI Friday's, Etc. At Outback you can expect steaks, chicken, and a bunch of dishes with cutesy Australian sounding names. This particular location is just fine with a few hiccups along the way. The service can be a little slow because its split into a drinking and a non drinking side, and I think this split contributes to the service being a little off from time to time. The also tend to have problems cooking the steaks to how you want them cooked at this location, as this has been a problem I have had there for years. If you order your steak medium its really going to be medium rare, and occasionally it will randomly come out well done. They are good about fixing these problems though. The rack of lamb is particularly good and I recommend requesting the Cabernet Sauce with any steak you order, its really tasty. Avoid the Caesar Salad, it has always had a very strong and odd flavor here. read more
