This place is just god awful. The service was good but the food was horrible.

The 4 of us in our party waited for several minutes at the front host stand, but no one came to greet us, so we sat at the bar. It took almost 10 minutes for the bartender to arrive. After we ordered, our beers, Bloomin onion and salad arrived very quickly. Unfortunately we then waited 40 minutes for our steaks. When we asked the bartender he explained that it was because they ran out of baked potatoes and were waiting for them to cook. So the steaks sat under the heat lamp all that time. In the end, we had to ask for some compensation and received a discount and free dessert. We never saw or spoke to the manager - if there was one?! But at least the bartender was responsive. We were visiting our daughter from out of state and came to Outback because we thought we knew what to expect. Our daughter had been here twice before and never had such poor service. Overall a disappointing trip. read more

Outstanding service and food ! I know this place doesn't usually get good reviews and I honestly had not been here in a couple of years but when my daughter chose it I decided to give it a chance and boy was I pleasantly surprised. Our waiter Jose was great and the food from appetizer ( shrimp scampi dip) to the meal (steaks and salmon) to the dessert (salted caramel cookie) were incredible. And let's not forget the margaritas. This outback has been plagued by bad management since its departure from Sheri lane. From apathetic front house managers to Kitchen managers that do not properly stock their pantry. Seeing that this has been the case for years I suppose the real problem is probably the proprietor. When our local Outback was run by Pete May there was never an issue with quality and service. If Outback cares about their brand being tarnished, they should do a complete over haul of this location. read more

So disappointed with this outback. I been coming to Kendall location for as long as I can remember. Not even when COVID was still around did we experience such a horrible dinner such as today. At first our server was attentive, he was quick with the drinks and our food orders but that's it. We were a group of 14 for a birthday. The appetizer's was the only thing that was worth eating from all the items the rest of our group ordered. Cocktails are okay so stick to beer if not stick to soft drinks. When we were ready to bring the dessert out they took at-least 20 minutes or so. AND finally when they came with the dessert they just placed it on the table without the "attention everybody" and sing HBD. Mind you, just 5 minutes prior they sang HBD to the table behind us. SO RUDE! I know it's just outback and not a 5star restaurant in Brickell. Overall, SERVICE and FOOD SUCKED BIG TIME. The only reason I am giving this review 2 stars is because the only sweet one was a female manager. Wish I would've got her name. Outback should go out of business or focus on hiring better trained staff. read more

They always miss something on the order. When it's not a missing item, it's the wait time - my last incident was today.... Placed an order at 7:33pm, was supposed to be ready between 8:04-8:06pm... when we get there around 7:55pm we are told 5-10 minutes... okay... 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 minutes without an update. Standing outside in the heat and humidity... without food or update. The girl comes out again just to double check the name... another 10 minutes... this is not the service you hope to get. In fact, this has been the worst takeout experience at Outback and any of the other restaurants I order from. Get it together peeps! read more

Came here on mother's day. I tried making a reservation online but turns out it wasn't working that day I'm guessing they turn that online feature off due to demand since there is a link that gives you the option of call ahead seating. Instead I then tried calling. The automated message says press 1 for call ahead seating (meaning it's an option) I press 1 and the lady I speak to then says they don't have call ahead seating that it is first come first serve. Once again I'm given the option of call ahead seating then told it's not available. I then ask her what is the wait time. She says 1 and a half hours minimum. We drove there and at the front door was a very nice gentleman with a tablet who greeted us and got our name on the list and told it should be no more than 25 minute. That's great but clearly shows me the person I spoke to on the phone didn't give me an accurate wait time as her estimate was way off. Finally we are called and our server Daniel was very nice kept checking in on us. Food and drinks were great. Service was great. However finally we get to dessert and they say they ran out of ice cream so basically nothing with ice cream can me made. Which is about 70% of the dessert menu and probably the thing most people order. This was not our servers fault but the restaurant in general. Aside this let down everything else was great. One of my favorite places for lunch on the weekend! This time I had the French Onion Soup and a side Cesar salad. My daughter had the Chicken Finger platter. I was going to a dinner with my mother and approaching this restaurant and when we go to park this barbaric woman in a old silver vehicle zooms into the parking space. We beeped at her and she puts her car on park and gets off and starts yelling. Not a smart move as she had a Outback Steakhouse uniform. She had green streaks in her hair and plugs on her ears. ( not a smart move to make if you work for a restaurant that we are going to) she yells "b*tch get out of the car c'mon) then she got tired of waiting since we stood our ground and she comes close to us and states " when you park I'm gonna smash your f*cking windows and key your f*cking car b*tch". So after that me and my mother did not want to go to that restaurant. Sad thing is I suggested this restaurant to my company to have their Christmas dinner there but I will definitely not do that. This Outback is definitely one of my favorites! The staff is so friendly, you can really see how they work well together! We started with the new Twisted Ribs- OMG!! I've never thought about a crispy Rib with Outback BBQ sauce! Yuuumm For me- Victoria's Filet, but our super sweet server, Melissa, recommended the Toowamba sauce, a creamy sauce to top the steak with shrimp and mushrooms. I'll never be the same again! For him- a 13oz Ribeye with the Mac & cheese... OH MAH GAWWD! Couldn't stop stealing from his plate! Had the Salted Caramel Cookie skillet for dessert, then happily rolled out of the restaurant! I stopped going to Outback about 15 years ago because the food was always over spiced with pepper and I was never satisfied. Needles to say I returned about 2 months ago and was pleasantly surprised! I have been back about 3 times in 2 months. The location is very spacious and service is quick. Tonight my daughter ordered her steak "Medium" when it came it was more "Well". So it was a bit tough for her. We aren't the type to complain but wanted to point it out to our waiter Danny D. He insisted on bringing out a new one because he wanted to make sure we were happy! The new steak came out very quickly by the manager who waited to see if it was to our liking and it was! We have been going to this location for years, but have certainly dropped off in the recent few years because the food and service were wildly inconsistent. But, our friends want to go there last night, so we did. And we were pleasantly surprised. Our server, Alejandro (Junior), was the best server we have ever had there. Attentive like no one else, never let us run out of anything, made lots of suggestions, continually removed items from the table we were no longer using, and even boxed up our leftovers for us. You never see that anymore. He went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with everything. My friend's soup did come out cold and Alejandro quickly replaced it and my steak was overdone and the manager, also very sweet, came out with a new and perfect one. I am not sure what has happened here, but the evening was an utter disaster. It has been over 5 years since we visited this Outback as we noticed pre-Covid quality and service had gone down substantially, but we went with friends and decided to give it another try. We waited about 30 minutes for a table, absolutely reasonable for a Saturday evening. Waitress was fine getting our orders. Appetizers came out, way overdone, blooming onion and mushroom caps. We had to wait for appetizer and bread plates. Salads came out and that was the last we saw of our waitress. About an hour later our entrees came out, they were all cold, meat was hard, rice and veggies were freezing, pasta was way too spicy, waited for waters, that never came. Finally a manager was called over, she insisted they would remake two of our meals and at that point we just asked for them to go. They never came back, we sat there for almost an additional hour waiting for our food. Finally we asked for another manager, and we said forget it, we're leaving. They did not charge us as we never ate. We did still tip the waitress, but she really should have returned and given some sort of explanation as to what was happening in the kitchen. There is a definite shortage in staff, but all that needs to be done is let your customers know, that you may have to wait two hours for food so at that point they have an option of staying or going. I was leaving the gym and was feeling for something good to eat and stopped by Outback with my gym partner Ericka G. After looking at the menu we noticed that they have dishes that were under 600 calories and decided to dine here and check out their salads and soups. This place has inside and outside dinning with a full bar. We sat outside to enjoy the fresh air. Our server was very nice and helped us with the menu. I ended up getting the french onion soup that is a classic here and delicious by the way!! My entrée was the sesame chicken which is new on the menu. I was completely satisfied with my meal and service. Ericka decided on the classic ceasar salad with shrimp. I did try her salad because i was interested on having a shrimp lol!! One of my first jobs entering college was at Outback Steakhouse here in Kendall. Although the original location was knocked down and rebuilt in the "new" and improved T&C location not much has changed. The menu is basically the same with a couple of new additions, the blooming onion still seems to be a top favorite. It's still mostly young servers and their steaks are still juicy. On this particular evening we chose to sit outside and had an awesome server (sorry I can't remember her name)she quickly took our drink orders and was patient with us to order as we kept on chatting instead of looking over the menu. When we finally narrowed it down to what we wanted to eat we asked what was the popular selection. She took her time with us and brought our drink and appetizer order out quickly. She tried to bring us bread but we were trying to take a healthier route and asked to skip it. She jokingly told us it was okay but next time we were getting bread and dessert. I had no complaints about our food orders. Usually,yes, I choose the steak but this evening we had a tuna appetizer which was delicious with a spicy like peanut sauce ( I could've eaten a larger portion and made it my main course it was that good). I also ordered a cesar salad with grilled seasoned shrimp. The lettuce was crispy and not drowned in dressing and the shrimp was seasoned perfectly,could've easily had 100 of them. I haven't been to an Outback Steakhouse in a long time, like over 10 years long! My mother, my stud muffin, and myself used the online "reservation" which does help. When we checked in, we were told 25 minutes, & the party before us an hour-score. Sat us at a clean table, & a waitress immediately introduced herself as well as letting us know she was training. Shortly after taking our drinks her trainer came out and said they'd both be taking care of us-cool, double service! App came out - delicious and the sauce scrumptious! The fried mushroom is a must. Ordered my stud a kids cheeseburger with fries, I ordered the steak quesadilla, and madre some sort of steak with potatoes that was ordered medium-well. The quesadillas were spot on, ate every one. My kids burger though, had a slice of some sort of sausage looking added part that we only found since he opened his burger. - extra piece of meat, strange. Madre's food came out, potatoes were perfect but the meat was well more raw then she wanted. (See pictures.) I ordered a margarita, and a White Russian, bartender on deck that night was knocking them out of the ballpark! The mango drink was delicious as well, HOWEVER, when the waitress was talking to the table next to us she put a crumbled up receipt in the empty glass on our table and left. Um, what was that? 3 stars for the weird piece of meat on burger, raw meat that was supposed to be medium-well, and because waitress put a crumbled receipt in the glass, and walked away. Not my first choice to go out. I prefer other meat places. I am not a big fan of restaurant chains, I just don't like them. Yes, yes, I must be biased. But the food was meh.... something I would totally not go for a date, a gathering, or an outing. There are so many other choices to get! I ordered the surf turf, meat with lobster, the lobster was almost non-existent. I would say that the lobster probably did not even weight 3/4 of a pound. Yes, at least it was a Maine lobster. The meat, had poor taste. Maybe it's because of the cut of the meat. I'll stick to other meat places definitely! Service was good, pretty constant and attentive. I have a love/hate relationship with Outback Steakhouse. I've been going to one location or another basically over the course of my lifetime and sometimes it's been great and sometime it hasn't. For the sake of this review, I'm going to base it specifically on this location itself, since it's the one I frequent the most. This is probably the nicest looking Outback Steakhouse in Miami. It's the newly renovated Town and Country Mall and the place looks shiny and new, especially compared to most other locations which already look pretty dated. There is a really nice waiting area outside and really nice outdoor seating. Outback is located right in the hear of the mall and directly across from a World of Beer. If you happen to be at WoB, you can order from Outback and they will take deliver it straight to you. Nine out of ten times I come here, the service is great. I think I've only had one bad experience here, but it was a long time ago. The staff is usually very friendly and always make you feel welcome. Really, the only two food items I still give a damn about at Outback Steakhouse are the Aussie Cheese Fries and the French Onion Soup. I don't know what it is about the French Onion Soup, but it's basically the best around. I've gone to five star restaurants to have this and it's still not as good as the one at Outback. I almost don't want to know what they put in it to make it this good. The best thing to do if you aren't in a big group, is to try to get a seat in the bar area, which has tables and booths as well, as it is first come, first serve and you wont have to wait for a seat if there is something open. read more

My party of 4 and I came in about a half hour before outback closed, and we all know how much of an inconvenience that might cause a restaurant on the verge of closing for the night (sorry!) but it was my sisters graduation and we were so hungry! Brandon was great, took care of us as if the restaurant just opened for lunch. Really great energy, very knowledgeable about the menu it seems. Very professional. Our food was also prepared perfectly. We had no issues at all considering it was late. We're so happy that we ended such a special graduation with a special dinner outing!
