The service and vibe is always great. 3 women with different tastes isn't always easy to please. And they take great care of us every time. We like the bar area, Tina was very attentive. We've been many times to this Outback restaurant. They have a great service staff and the food is decent, but the steaks are often not done as ordered. Our top complaint is the lighting at the tables. It's a bare bulb with a shade that does nothing to keep you from feeling like you are being interrogated. I seriously leave this restaurant with spots in my eyes. I'm 6'0" and that is not tall enough for the light fixture to block the direct light from my eyes. A simple change of light fixtures could do wonders for the atmosphere. read more

I'm pretty sure that we were sitting next to Allison W. We sat in the bar. It was the day that they were giving away free blooming onions and the one we got was just pathetic. The worst part was the manager brought it to us, on a plate that was dirty....there was a lot of brown sauce on the bottom of it. It was so greasy we couldn't eat most of it. There was one bartender/server for the whole area and she just wasn't very good at her job. Not very nice, to us at least, seemed to be nice to the older people there. Maybe because we look young, she thought she wouldn't get much of a tip.....she's right, but it's because she's not a very good server. She put in the order of the people that sat in front of us wrong and had to put it in again. just in general this location is not up to par. Okay, it's Outback Steakhouse, so you know you won't be blown away, but you also know that the food will be pretty good, and the overall experience satisfactory. Well, after my most recent visit, those sentiments would be mostly true, but I'm just irked to no end with this new over the top weights and measurements system that these chain restaurants have incorporated. I'm not naive to the fact that this hasn't been going on for a long time, as I'm sure that a lot of their price points are tied to their inventory, but it just seems as though that lately they've lost the plot. And for the most part, it always centers around their side items, think French Fries. In the past, places like Outback would load you up with fries without batting an eye (almost too many), but now, I honestly believe that they are counting the number of fries they give you, and it's not a high number. I literally had to order an extra side of fries so that my kids wouldn't be crying about who got more in the take out boxes. Even the $3 side of extra fries didn't cover half of the container they came in, not to mention the paltry amount you get with your meal. For crying out loud Outback, if you're going to charge me $20-$30 for a steak, can't you at least give me more than 12 F'ing French fries??? Besides that mind numbing reality, everything else was pretty good, just wish that they'd realize that people notice these things and rant about them on review sites :) read more

Amazingly, one of the best dishes that outback has is the lobster. The rock lobsters (grilled or broiled) is one of the best lobsters I've had. Definitely worth a try! read more

Cobb salad was lettuce with tiny amounts of tiny bacon, egg, 2 slice cherry tomatoes and 6 croutons. Cell phone dead zone, don't go there if your expecting a phone call or need to text or use internet. Could not look up food nutritional values before ordering. A to-go order. They didn't get anything right. We orderd two 9oz filets one with double fries the other with baked potato everything on the side. Then two 6 oz filets with double fries. First, we didn't get double fries on either order. Second they didn't have 9 oz filets and didn't tell us so they gave us 6 oz. When we got there they were like, "So we just made you 6oz filets instead". We said, "So why didn't you just add a six oz to make up for it"? Them: "Ok but we have to charge you on the sides too or maybe we can give you a discount on that meal 15%. We don't understand why they just didn't ad a six in filet since we were paying for two 9oz. In any case, they also didn't give us any baked potato sides that we ordered. This is the second time our order turned out badly. read more

The service is poor and slow. Had 1.5 hrs to sit and have a couple drinks and get an appetizer. Went to the high top bar and waited 15 minutes to get my first beer. The food and second beer took forever and when I told the waitress I had to go she sat and talked to the manager for 10 minutes until I went to her to get my bill. read more

Placed take out order at 7:03 pm Sunday night 9/2/18 for an order of wings, Bloomin' Onion, and two burgers with fries and was told to pick up in 40 mins. I questioned the time and was told well maybe 35 mins. Son picked up order at exact 40 min time brought it home (7 min ride.) - order was ice cold. Bloomin onion sitting in grease, cold is not appetizing. Our order had to have been sitting for 15 mins before it was picked up. One of the burgers looked like someone took a bite out of it or was dropped on the floor and had a heel print in it. It was disgusting. See the pic. They could never serve that burger to a customer in the restaurant but sure...pawn it off on the unsuspecting customer who ordered take out for $48 plus tip. A phone call to the restaurant resulted in a 5 min wait for a manager to come to the phone which they never did so I hung up to reheat my ice cold food. Now I will post my review on FB, Yelp, Twitter and anywhere else I can. You charge way too much for a burger for this kind of service. Not acceptable. read more

We used to order from Outback. The Victoria filet used to be my favorite until I received very tough and chewy filets three times in a row. Filets are supposed to be like butter...not filled with gristle. Disappointed. read more

We eat here every week just about for date night. We always have great service and I have loved my meal every time. They have my favorite filet hands down. The Victoria with classic seasoning is to die for. You get lots of sides and you get a lot for what you pay for. We love this place. We will be back next week ;) read more

I think the changes to Outback menu have been well welcomed. There are some great new items like the Teriyaki Filet Medallions, Shrimp en Fuego Fettucine, Honey Dijon Chicken & Alice Springs Chicken Quesadillas. Ordered curbside take out and made the mistake of not checking the order. There was no dessert, and no mashed potatoes. We also ordered steaks at two different temperatures but the steaks weren't marked. The Manager, Natalie, was great however the experience of eating dinner an hour later than planned due to having to go back to the restaurant wasn't. read more

I went there on January second to take advantage of the free appetizer that was offered from the outback bowl. The location we went to was not very busy there were five tables and three people at the bar but one of the tables and the guests at the bar left shortly after we got there. We ordered a blooming onion instead of the coconut shrimp and placed our drink order drinks came out promptly blooming onion took a little while and when it did come out it was greasy and burnt as well served on a dirty plate and I am sure it was the manager that brought it to us as well. We placed our order shortly after receiving our blooming onion, our food came out hot I got an outback burger which was delicious but there was no ketchup on the table and none offered had to flag down the server also ran out of water and had to ask for a refill. read more

Food allergy nightmare. I ordered the sesame salad with Ahi tuna. My son is allergic to nuts and it comes with almonds. I asked for them to make it without almonds and specifically told them that we had a nut allergy at the table. Nonetheless, they brought me the salad with almonds. Additionally, it was supposed to contain cilantro but it didn't. It was supposed to contain red pepper. The amount of red pepper comprised less mass than a toothpick. They claimed the salad was dressed, but it was completely dry. Finally, the salad was tiny. It was served on a large plate but the left one-third of the plate was completely empty. This was a complete fail, but the almonds were the most unforgivable error. read more

Outback is always consistent every time we come for dinner. Steak is always great and cooked right, server was nice attentive and did overall a great job her name was shaleen come see her if you come here. I would recommend any outback for family gatherings or dinner with friends. I am always pleased with the ribeye and the garlic mash as well as their Mac n cheese was good as well. Just returned from NY (no OB where we live).we found there is no longer the Outback Special (6oz serloin w/salad+potato) for $9.99. My husband got the 9oz serloin etc.-steak not up to par. Add the shrimp skewer for $5.99--not worth the 4 tiny shrimp. Bring back the "special" your noted for..At 6:00 no trouble getting a table on Thurs. wonder why not busier? read more

Outback Fishhawk Fl. Notwithstanding anything about the menu, the service here is excellent. We were greeted with a smile, offered a choice of where to sit and were brought menus and drinks in a flash... The menu however, was not so stellar. The "loaded" Bloomin Onion was not very loaded. In fact, we had to ask whether they brought the correct thing. The chicken tenders were good, I was told. The chicken tortilla soup sucked. The potato soup was excellent. The coconut shrimp were fair; cooked properly but had way too much coconut breading. The hamburger, my hamburger, was only fair, but the cheddar cheese sucked making it inedible. I remember thinking that it tasted like a Hardees burger (which I regard as the best fast-food burger). But they credited it so I give them a lot of credit for excellent customer service. Overall a fair meal but for such a place I expected much better food. But since the service was so good, we will try it again. read more

I haven't been back to this location for several years due to a very bad dining experience. When my husband suggested we go there last evening, I was hesitant but decided to give it another try. We were greeted by a very friendly stall. We were seated shortly thereafter. Our server, a young woman by the name of Barbara, greeted us cordially. She was an absolutely wonderful server. She was friendly and took a few minutes to chat with us. She was very I in tuned to our needs even though she had several tables to take care of. Not a good experience on Friday night...my daughter's filet was small and overcooked. Since it was after eight when we finally got served, she ate it anyway. We complained and it was removed from the bill. My husband's steak was also thin and tasteless. The Blooming Onion seems to have shrunk but was still tasty. This outback by far has the worst service of any outback I have been to. Living in the fishhawk area with limited restaurants we give it a try over and over, but tonight will be the very last time. On a Monday with the restaurant half full we waited 1 hr and half for our dinner. It took 40 minutes to get cheese fries as other tables were served theres before us. A blonde manager case over and apologized when she finally brought ours. Well all would be said and done but that was the beginning over our problems we waiting another 35 minutes for our food as a table of 6 that sat down 30 minutes after us received there meals. We still didn't receive our meal asked for a manager, after 10 minutes she didn't come. We wasted over 1 hr and 45 minute with no food. Unacceptable. My family ate at this restaurant on Saturday 30 Jun. One pasta order was cold and under cooked; prime rib order over cooked, and my 13 oz WoodFire Ribeye was so badly chard the only flavor was an overpowering taste of mesquite. Not a good visit. I really wish I could remember our servers name, because I would love to mention him in this review. I love Outback, and have never had an issue, until last night, that is. We sat in the bar area, and ordered a couple of beers and an appetizer right off the bat. We ordered the Crab Stuffed Mushrooms, and these were so wonderful! I honestly could have just ordered another round of these, and a side salad and I would have been set. My boyfriend ordered the Pork Porterhouse, and I ordered Victoria's Filet, and it came out perfectly cooked - Medium Rare, no issues. The pork chop, this was the problem. The pork chop came out and it looked great, but the inside, well, the inside was RAW and totally uncooked. We waited, and waited, AND waited for our server to return so we could tell him. When he approached the table we explained the issue and showed him the inside of pork chop. At first, he told us that it should not look like that, then he back tracked and said he asked us how we wanted it cooked. I have gotten pork chops at many different restaurants and have never been asked how I would like it cooked. Typically one cook temp for pork, correct? He took the pork chop back and was gone for, roughly 20-25 minutes (way too long) long enough for us to think they were cooking us a whole new pork chop. Finally, he returns with the same chop (we knew because of the cut mark) and this time it was WAY overcooked. Long story short, we were ready to give up, get our bill, and head out! Server returns with a $50 dollar bill, and politely explained that he had the mushroom appetizer taken off. I LOVED THE APPETIZER, and would have paid ANY day for it. The pork chop should have been removed. End of story. We will not be returning to this Outback ever again! Good luck! read more

So we "used to" come here, until recently. I ordered an Outback Special 6oz steak wood fired and medium. You would figure a steakhouse knows how to cook a steak at the temperature you desire. It came out bloody and cold in the middle. So I ask the server if this is correct, she apologized and took it back. She came back said manager in the back cooked it himself again. Ok great, but somehow, the same steak I cut through turned into a classic seasoned steak, but on the bright side it was medium. Because I can't eat the classic, hence the reason I ordered wood fired, server took it back once again. New wood fired 6 oz comes out. To my dismay it's bloody and rare. Server at this point is puzzled cause again manager made it. I explained to her to have someone who knows how to cook a steak cook it to medium so I can eat. My family is now done with their meals at this point. Fourth time now it comes out outside looks cooked right but the inside is well done and kinda dry. At this point I ate it. No manager came out to say they were sorry. EXTREMELY POOR SERVICE. I think they only know how to cook a steak rare or well done, and scratch their heads when someone asks for in between. If someone reads this please understand you can go up the road to Brandon or Wesley Chapel. They seem to know how to cook a steak right at those Outbacks. read more

We (a party of four with two separate checks) visited the Outback Steak at 16547 Fishhawk Blvd., Lithia, FL 33547. We arrived at 12:20 pm, seat at table 26 and our server was Christina P., We ordered our drinks and appetizers, which arrived in a timely manner, then we ordered our main course. Christina came by and told us there was a mistake with one of the meals, the other three meals are ready and waiting at the pick-up counter for the one meal that was being remade. Needless to say, the following happened: The first couple with us the meal with steak (extra dry) and fries (dried out) was barely warm, the other meal with shrimp and noodles barely warm, the next meal was a chicken sandwich (soggy) and fries (cool ), final meal steakhouse philly (hot and fresh) and fries (dried out). At no time did a manager come by to check on how things are going. Every other Outback Steakhouse we have been to, the manager came by to ensure service and food was up to standers. We will not recommend or come back to this Outback Steakhouse. read more
