This is usually a Fantastic Outback. As it should be located across the street from the Corporate office of Bloom Brands and Outback. If today 6-22-26 was the first time I'd been to an Outback I would not come back. The Coconut shrimp came out looking terrible and swimming in grease. I sent them back. The manager came out and said they usually were more greasy than that. Wrong. This was highly unusual. Then the manager brought out these, the ones I posted a photo of. Barely covered in Breading. Something was way off. They looked terrible. Our Medium well steak was overcooked and the medium steak was undercooked. They say it doesn't matter who the cook is at Outback but I know that it can make a huge difference. The young lady who was our server was nice. This is my boyfriend and my favorite Outback location to visit! The food is always delicious, the staff is friendly and attentive, and the restaurant is consistently clean. The location is also super convenient and centrally located, which makes it easy to stop by anytime. I usually order the Outback center-cut sirloin cooked medium rare with a side of steamed broccoli and a baked potato with sour cream and butter -- YUM! This Outback Steakhouse is located on Boy Scout Blvd in Tampa less than a mile from the Bloomin' Brands corporate headquarters. Upon walking in, I was met with no host. It was almost completely empty and we decided to sit at the bar. The restaurant looked very clean and had unique seating and style compared to other Outback restaurants. The bar stools and booths had crocodile skin themed upholstery. We ordered the Down Under Trio as an appetizer. It is a very pleasing platter of fried foods, (mozzarella sticks, loaded fries, and Bloomin petals). It was great but I suggest ordering a Bloomin Onion if you want the freshest fried onions. Our entree was the bone in ribeye... and I have to say it was one of the best steaks I have ever eaten... and I have eaten a lot of steaks. And here are my complaints. The service was terrible. The bartender was inattentive and was very busy with his phone. When I was able to grab his attention to place my order, he disregarded me saying he would be right back, and went on to do other tasks as well as look at his phone. Service took much longer than normal. Beyond that, we ordered the $10 take home meal Alice Springs Chicken. I have ordered this in the past from different locations and it has never been this small. After this experience, I would not return to this location. Outback is one of my favorite chains and I fully believe in their model. We have an outback closer to us but not too happy with that one so I suggested we try the one in Tampa. So glad we did! So beautiful inside and nice low lighting and inviting. Our server, Vanessa, a doll and very friendly and efficient. Got one of their large Blondie ales and great. Nice and cold and fresh. Next got my favorite blue cheese chopped salad. Exactly as I remembered and still will remain my favorite. I decided to try the filet kabobs over rice. It was delicious! Hubby got a Delmonico ribeye and he was very happy. Neighbors got the sirloin and ribs. She loved it and he got the filet. He gave it a four out of five. They also have a deal you can get $10 order to go so we got something for Mom and Dad for tomorrow's dinner. All in all a great experience. Highly recommend. We will definitely be back! Our waiter was decent and then when it was time to ask how our food was to grab ketchup we never saw him again and had to flag down the hostess to get our waiter...who clearly didn't listen to anything we said and saw her on the other side of the restaurant and still waited for our waiter. We had all "picky" stuff: The bloomin onion (too much breading - but still good), wedge salad (lots of dressing!), potato soup and the BBQ wings. Such a good meal! My stomach is aching as I ate every bite! Caesar salad was exactly how I like it, being nicely sauced throughout but not soaking. Prime rib was delicious, though I preferred the Filet my buddy got. Potatoes were good, and all food stayed warm, which was excellent. Worst experience I've ever received. I came out with family to celebrate my BIRTHDAY! At the time I had 3 guest who arrived before I did. By the time I got there our other guest had already ordered and I was ready to get me a birthday drink. The waiter (Charlie) told us that we were not allowed to order anything and he will bring us out drinks when he felt we were ready for them. Said he would give us bread until then. You'd think the closest Outback to the Company Headquarters would be a vibrant, flagship experience. Unfortunately that's not the case. This review is in context of the bar and happy hour. For a restaurant experience, they provide the average chain experience. For happy hour, if you're a dude and like hanging shoulder to shoulder with other dudes, then this place is for you. As I write this, the bar is nearly full - all guys 40-50+ and one senior lady. There are more female servers in the restaurant than there are female customers. I'm not bashing the place, just sharing my experiences here. And the final straw - they don't have Happy Hour. Full price, all the time, even though I've seen online that other locations do have happy hour. In conclusion, for happy hour / social, I totally recommend some other place. read more

Dined at 7pm on a Saturday evening. The service is 10 stars. They do not take reservations but when I called in the hostess was happy to offer the call ahead option. She asked me what time we were arriving and my cell number. She informed there was currently no wait. She ended the conversation with the nicest " we can't wait to see you ! " This was only the beginning. When we arrived the hostess greeted us with a warm welcome and seated us immediately. Our server Kylie was a gem, excellent. We felt like she loved her job and the people she served. We asked questions about the drink menu and she enthusiastically gave us great recommendations. We ordered 3 filet mignons with assorted sides. 1 of 4 of us only ordered a drink and we shared our food with her. We also devoured the complimentary bread which was to die for. Kylie brought out two more loaves! The onion bloom appetizer is a must have It came with several different dipping sauces I'm not an onion person but this was amazing. Crunchy outside , fanned out cut in a way that made eating it so much fun. One onion strip at a time . Our steaks came out on hot plates, for filet mignons they looked on the thin side. However after one bite, we were in heaven. They were so tasty juicy and tender . Kylie checked on us throughout our visit and when we shared we were from out of town , looking for xyz She provided a wealth of local information to help us navigate our errands for the next day. She engaged with light conversation while she brought us our dishes. Made sure our drinks were refilled. She demonstrated a care for her patrons that was sincere and kind. Reminded me of the lost art of genuine service back in the day when going out for family dining. She was joyful, efficient and very thoughtful. She also was spot on when we inquired about different choices ( the sides , preparations , the drinks ) . I wish all servers were Kylie. Note : very impressed as she was in her early 20's. We were so into our dinning experience. Eating all the great food , I completely forgot to get pics of the steaks. When we were exiting our table the busser cleaning one of the nearby tables , a young man probably in his 20's looked up at us and wished us a nice evening. My husband had a gift card so we stopped here for dinner. We had great service and my husband enjoyed his meal thoroughly. However, the fries were a touch too salty for my taste. And I love salt. My husbands meal came incorrect. They did quickly take care of it. My meal came entirely incorrect and while the waitress did apologize at her error, it was a bit of a bummer. I ordered the strawberry salad. It was Mediocre at best. Look, I know people don't come here for a salad, but there were hardly any of the advertisers nuts and for calling it a strawberry salad, there was the equivalent of maybe one whole strawberry and a tiny one at that. We enjoyed sitting outside but I had to ask the manager to ask the person behind us to stop smoking. So rude of the person since there were signs! When you are traveling on business, you need to watch expenses. When dining alone, even more so. I was on a hotel, without a car, and hungry. I could have taken an Uber to a foodie place or walk to one of several steakhouses. I had a choice of Eddie V's, Fleming's or Outback. I took the cheaper route and ended up with a crappy meal. They were, surprise, understaffed so I could wait 20-30 minutes or eat at the bar. The bar was pretty full so I ended up sitting at the lower bar table, used for wheelchairs. The bartender, Taylor, was hustling all evening and I had no complaints about him. My Stella beer was tall and cold. The hot brown bread was also quite good. My creamy onion soup was barely warm but tasty. I wanted to keep expenses down and use this part of my travel day to heat a bit healthier so I ordered a salad with sliced steak. The steak was excellent but the salad was drenched in dressing and the lettuce was badly saturated. The ingredients and dressing were actually good and flavorful but tasted like it was tossed two hours ago. It really ruined the dish for me. I LOVE this Outback! It is modern and clean and bright and roomy. Like all other restaurants be patient during potential staff shortages due to Covid. Over the top service and attention, even though they were busy. We didn't mind a little extra wait for our food but they both apologized and acknowledged it instead of making us wait and wonder like most restaurants. They opened last week for corporate and then there was an official opening. This outback is nicely located just across the International mall (w boyscout and Lois Ave), walkable distance from the metwest buildings. It opened where "Leroy Roy Selmon" used to be. We went there for work lunch and tried their lunch combo options, which are definitely reasonably priced. I tried their Aussie steak tacos and chicken tortilla soup for the side.
