I have to say, this Outback is true to their word. We had a bad experience with the Curbside order. I called back to inform them of the problem. The Manager talked to me and corrected the problem beyond my expectations. This location is nearby and we visit often, good or bad. This resolve was great, thank you for working this out. Second time trying to eat here and not getting served. There was no hostess to greet us and we stood there for almost 10 minutes before the bartender noticed us and looked away. This use to be my favorite place to eat. I love steak & I've eaten steak everywhere and I've always enjoyed Outback steaks the most. More then Ruth Chris or any of the high end places I've experienced. The last couple times we've been here I've noticed some serious change in the quality of the 10oz ribeye they have served me. The steak is now leaner thiner & a lot more like a steak you'd get a place that doesn't specialize in steak. I'm very sad because I truly loved this place but this will probably be the last time we eat here. Back to Longhorn Logan's & now what use to be my 2nd favorite Texas Roadhouse. read more

(do not make mistake and salt potato before tasting...it is prepared with kosher salted skin already) I love my steaks either med rare or rare plus but if ever I can get Pittsburgh Style which is Char/RARE I am ovverjoyed! We haven't eaten at an Outback in a long long time after a bad experience at a different one. I saw some bad reviews on this place but since I had won a $50 gift certificate we decided to use it. We were pleasantly surprised. The meals were really good although my wife's ribs were unevenly heated. The reason for 4 stars rather than 5. Our server, Devin, offered to take them back but my wife was afraid they would then get over done. My steak was great. The service was exceptional. read more

After waiting 45 minutes from the time we ordered our waitress told us the meals were being plated and would be out soon. 20 minutes later our plates arrived at the table....cold steaks, cold mac n cheese, ice cold broccoli and cheese, dry & plain "loaded" baked potato. 3 cranky and hungry kids later. This restaurant is now open for lunch on Friday and Saturday. The blooming onion was delicious and we had the double hamburger. The food was good, and our waitress was attentive. Just got takeout for their Mother's Day special of steak and lobster- absolutely delicious, especially considering the place was a madhouse with pickup orders. The steak was cooked perfectly and the lobster tails, although small, were delicious. Very pleased! read more

Service was great, but the food was smaller servings and my steak was a little burnt. I got a happy hour drink, which I asked for light ice, and by the time it did arrive, it was full of ice. It was my first time at this restaurant. My boyfriend loves their food and their customer service and I wasn't disappointed. I highly recommend the Filet Mignon and lobster, also the veggies were perfectly cooked. Our server was great. Also, that Friday night I forgot my reading and Oakley sunglasses (a gift from my boyfriend). I called Saturday morning asking for them with no luck but they kept my phone number and the next day Dominique The manager called me with the great news they found it. I can't tell how happy was! I have gone to this establishment 2x over the last 3 months for there Chicken Caesar Salad due I have had over the past 5 yrs because it was so delicious!! But, these last 2x the portions were NOT the same the Romaine was like a kids meal and when I asked for extra dressing(because it is so delicious) the 1st time I was charged $6 for about a 8oz size, then when I asked for the 2nd time they wanted to charge me $6.99, so I spoke to the manager on duty I think her name was Jessica, she offered to give me about 3oz size for free and throw in a few extra for on top of what the Entree' came with, well all I got was 3 of what the Entree' came with nothing more!!! And both times I made a complaint and the 1st time I heard nothing but got a letter in the mail with a $30 gift card, then I contacted them again and then the AD FINALLY called and we spoke she apologized explained, and that was that...so I tried again a few wks ago and same amount of Romaine, and made a complaint and the managing partner emailed me and apologized, explained, and I emailed him back my frustrations, and asked him to call me to talk and that was 7 days ago, and to this day I have not gotten a call nor a reply!!! Yes this is a angry customer for the North Mesa Outback on McKellips!!!! I will drive to Tempe or Superstition to get my Chicken Caesar Salad just not to have to go back to were I am not valued as a customer!!!! We attempted to go for a late lunch at the Outback at Ray Rd and Chandler. There was a Man in an Outback shirt talking to someone in a truck, the truck was blocking us from turning left into the parking lot. The man turned and looked at us and them went back to talking to the man in the truck. After waiting several minutes and the truck was still not moving, my husband had to drive around the back of the restaurant, down the side to park in the front of the building. As we were getting out of the vehicle the truck left and I yelled out to him "that was extremely rude", he started to walk towards me and I said "you couldn't ask him to pull over so we could pull in the parking lot. He stated "I was trying to get him to leave" to which I replied "NO, you were NOT you kept talking to him, if you wanted him to leave you would have walked away. He then had words with my husband and told us that he was calling the police because my husband had cursed. And, since he was the proprietor of the Establishment we were not welcome. I no longer wanted to eat there, as my husband and I walked away he was on the phone (I guess calling the police). I do not believe he was the proprietor, any REAL proprietor would have been happy to see a customer, there were NO other vehicles in the parking lot until AFTER we parked. A REAL proprietor would have been wearing a mask while talking to the man in the truck. He walked into the restaurant with the people that arrived after us and again he was NOT wearing a mask. If this is the Caliber of your management team, my family and I will no longer be eating at ANY Outback Steakhouse. read more

The service warranted 4 stars, but the food somewhere between two and one. My steak and baked potato were barely warm when I got them, bordering on cold. OMG What a Wonderful experience!! We were greeted and seated as soon as we entered the restaurant. Its beautifully decorated and clean. All the servers were men dressed in black. Our server was prompt, attentive, informative and curtious. Our meal was served in a timely manner - salad first and then the main course and of course desert. It was EXCELLENT ! Every bite was wonderful. I had the Fire Grilled Salmon with a sweet potato, yum. For desert I had cheese cake with raspberry sauce dribbled over it. I at every bite. My wife and I have been to this location dozens of times, and it remains near the top of our list of favorite restaurants in Mesa. We have found the service to be prompt and attentive, with never a negative experience. The food has always been delicious and promptly served. The filet mignon is one of my favorites that I order maybe half the time, and I can't remember a time when it didn't come juicy, hot, and done just right. My No Rules Pasta with chicken and shrimp, Chicken tenders, and Alice Springs Chicken were excellent, as usual. But my two 1/2 orders of ribs were hard, over cooked, and had little meat on them. And one thing that is hard to over cook is a baked potato but they managed to cook it so hard you could only scrape the inside of the potato out to eat it. We haven't been to Outback in about 6 months for the same reasons will not be going back again. We sat in a booth in the bar area. The restaurant was not real busy. We had to go up front to ask for menus. We sat for 10 minutes and finally went to the bartender to ask for drinks. The bartender brought the drinks and took our order. The food came out in a timely manner but we were given no silverware. We had to get up and request those. No one ever came back to ask if we needed anything. After some time we had to go back to the bar to request another beer. This has been an ongoing issue over the past year with this restaurant. The 2 bar tenders were wonderful and you could tell they really loved their jobs. The food is always great and came in a good amount of time.
