We don't come here very often (maybe once a year??) because we gravitate more towards local, non-chain restaurants. But I will say that every time I come here we've had great service and good food. We called it get on the waiting list ahead of time, which is really a Time saver. We were seated about 10 minutes after we arrived, even there were at least 30 people waiting for table. Our server was really great. I had to increase our party size by 1:00 and that didn't seem to be an issue at all. We placed our cocktail orders and they came out right away. I also asked for regular butter instead of the cinnamon better with our role, and our server happily brought that. They have a great deal with margaritas and Long Island iced teas for five dollars. We all ordered different things. I ordered the 6 oz sirloin, rare, with a baked potato and Caesar salad. Everything tasted good, and my state came exactly like I like it - - rare. I will say the $5 cocktails are worth about $5, as there wasn't a whole lot alcohol in them. This place is kind of loud, so if you're looking for a quiet dinner this is not your place. But it's fun with its Western theme. I'm sure we'll continue to come back here. read more

This was my first time visiting this restaurant with my son, and unfortunately we did not have a good experience. We had been planning this visit for a while and were both really excited to try it. Although we were seated quickly, we were given a regular table after specifically requesting a booth. We tried not to complain, but due to my lower back pain, the hard chair became very uncomfortable for me. There was an empty booth right next to us, so before any drinks or food had even arrived, we politely asked our server if we could move. Instead of showing understanding, she responded very rudely with, "No sorry, we can't move you because that booth belongs to another server" - Are you kidding me?!!! So just because this server didn't want to lose her table I had to sit there and be uncomfortable the whole time. From that point on, I was uncomfortable and in pain the entire meal, which made it hard to enjoy the experience. On top of that, our server rarely checked on us, my son finished his beer before our food arrived and never offered refills, and seemed more focused on chatting with coworkers than paying attention to her tables. As someone who works in the restaurant industry myself, I understand how busy things can get, but kindness and attentiveness go a long way. I would never treat my guests that way, especially when someone is simply asking for a little comfort accommodation. We went on a Saturday at 4pm and there was only a 15 min wait. When we left 1.5 hrs later there were so many people waiting we heard them saying 1+ hr wait. Ouch! We had a family member with a wheelchair and needless to say it was not easy maneuvering around the dining area. I let our waitress know we were celebrating a birthday 80th, they did some birthday celebrations around us but missed us, didn't even ask if we wanted dessert just brought us our check and made us feel like they were rushing us out because they needed the table. Went here with the family for dinner. When we got there it was super busy with lots of people and had a wait but it actually wasn't that long at all, only about like 15 minutes before we were seated. Our waiter was very kind and quick to get us drinks and bring us some bread & butter. When we ordered 4 of us got the 8oz sirloin with a salad and mashed potatoes my mom got a side of ribs with hers and I got my steak smothered in sautéed mushrooms for $2.99 extra. My sister decided to get a bacon cheeseburger with fries. All the steaks were cooked perfectly and the sides we got were so good. The mushrooms were extremely tasty and my mom loved the ribs as well. Our grandsons and their Dad wanted to eat here. We vaguely recalled going to Texas Roadhouse in Mesa some years back. Son-in-law told us that Texas Roadhouse recently had a fire. Instead of refurbishing it, they tore it down and built another one not far from the original one. The ambiance says "roadhouse" with lots of wood on the walls and country music playing. It does get loud when they're busy. We were here on a crazy busy Saturday night. Fortunately, son-in-law called ahead and when we arrived, we were seated almost immediately. I was quite surprised as I expected a wait. Once seated, our server came by in a timely fashion to take our drink orders. We all got soft drinks except for my husband who had a beer. When the drinks came, so did some fresh rolls with butter on the side. These rolls had a hint of sweetness and were soft. For our dinners, I got the 6oz. Dallas filet with a house salad and a loaded baked potato. My husband got the 6oz. Dallas filet with a side of corn and a side of green beans. Our son-in-law got the strip steak with a house salad and mashed potatoes. One grandson got the beef tips with gravy and mashed potatoes. The other two grandsons got grilled bbq chicken and a sirloin steak. The food here was good. The kitchen did a great job keeping on top of orders and getting them out quickly. I put Texas Roadhouse in the same category as Outback and Longhorn as they have similar menus. In other words a steak dinner without paying upscale steak house prices. read more

Atmosphere - Did pick up. Didn't eat in. Food - The buns were soft and fluffy. The cinnamon butter was good, but not as amazing as I remember. Maybe the cinnamon flavor was not very strong. My 4 yr old granddaughter wanted to go to Texas Roadhouse, she said it's her favorite. She got the mini cheeseburger kids meal, took one bite and spit it out, said it was awful. She then took the burger off the bread and tried just that and you could see it was so well done and dry. She didn't eat it. My husband ordered the filet and said it was good. I ordered the half slab of ribs, which is usually really good and fall off the bone so tender, but this time it was pretty dry. I asked for more bbq sauce but that didn't help much. I let the server know about my granddaughters meal and all she did was say I'm so sorry, didn't offer to get the manager or anything. 8.00 for a kids meal that couldn't even be eaten. read more

You expect loud, messy, decent service and comfort food, almost like you go in with the idea of 3/5 expectations. Wrong! Went here for lunch on Saturday, seated within five minutes, very good service, checking on us frequently, refilling beverages constantly and offered to go drinks! The prices are good value for the amount of food you get and the seating was comfortable. Then you rate the food, also excellent! The bread and butter, destroyed, rattlesnake bites also gone! We ordered 12&14oz ribeye, steak kabobs, and pork chops with a variety of sides. All excellent and perfectly cooked to our liking. Sure, not your fine dining, but again, it's not trying to be something it's not - it's a good place to bring the growing family on a Saturday. Good service, food, and comfort. Huge plus: very welcoming and flexible with toddlers, there are TVs playing sports in the bar, and the bathrooms were clean. Everything goes good we arrive and wait for A TABLE and then the host sits us down in multiple booths facing back to each other, we were very confused since they said they could get us a table thinking we were all going to sit together, we kindly asked the manager if there was a way if we could all sit together and right away she gets overly aggressive and proceeds to argue with my pregnant sister about how it's not her problem that she doesn't have enough space and that they can't add tables together.We are sitting at different tables and get our food while we literally see a GROUP OF 11 be sat at a SINGLE EXTENDED TABLE.The manager name is Amber and I can't believe the type of service and attitude she gives while working in a hospitality industry. Came for a late lunch for my son's birthday. Told the hostess when we were getting seated. Daughter and I were looking forward to a steak. Ordered mine medium rare and it came out medium well, I NEVER return food but I could barely cut through it. They came back with another the same way. I didn't say anything. Manager never checked on it, I tried eating some and waitress saw that I didn't eat it when we were boxing up the kids and didn't say anything. Also I should add that my husband ordered the exact same cut, size and temp and his was perfect! They didn't do anything for my son's birthday either. Oh and our bill was $79.00. Gave the waitress $100 bill and she gave us a $20 and $1 bill, so after giving crappy service expected a $20 tip? I'm a waitress and would honestly tip that if she gave good service, but it was not. I always get the double pork chop meal with a salad and a side of rice. Seems to be my go to and my favorite however I did get the steak kabobs and those were great too. My husband and I came here Saturday night because we were craving steaks. Our order was for take out. I don't think I have much explaining to do, photos pretty much explain what we were served. We did not enjoy our dinner that night, all we could taste was the burnt/dry steak they gave us. This place has been in my neighborhood for decades and is a staple for Mesa (pun intended since they are located on Stapley). The parking lot is always full, so it was good to see this was still a popular restaurant even after not dining here for at least a good 10 years. With a party of four, we were seated pretty quickly around the 5pm dinner rush. Service was really great from Ethan. He was super attentive, and even the first beer brought to the table, he noticed the head disappeared and it wasn't a "full" beer and brought it back to get topped off. I don't think I've ever seen a server go above and beyond, even for a tiny splash from the bartender to top off the beer. Luckily, I had a clear view of the bar where I sat. He won major points for that one. For the meal, I ordered the 14 oz prime rib, which had some decent flavor, and was cooked right to temp and served with au jus. Just lacked my favorite part, which was the crust with fresh herbs and a punch of salt. My sides were nothing special with the green beans and fries. The green beans aren't my favorite as I prefer fresh green beans cooked with s&p and with some texture of crunch. These were cooked all day and a bit soggy for my taste. The old fashion I ordered wasn't bad. It was basically pure alcohol, and unfortunately, it was smaller portioned. When you can see the ice surpass the liquid, it's under made. What a bummer this didn't get topped off. I'm not sure if the bartender was just short pouring all drinks that night. Otherwise, stack the table with their world renowned (hopefully by now) fresh baked rolls and cinnamon butter, and other dishes like chicken fried steak, ribeye cooked to perfection, and barbecue smothered...it was a good experience.
