Normally I don't review chains but my son & I went in on a snowy Friday night & had a very nice experience. The restaurant was upgraded about a year ago which makes it very comfortable. We started with a drink, wish they had a few more craft beers on the menu. Our waitress was great, friendly, helpful, there when you had a question. We took some time before ordering, doing some catching up. When we did order the food came up just right & nice & warm which was great given the cold night. I had the steak & shrimp platter, steak was done to perfection, I like em medium rare. The shrimp were on the small side but tasty right off the barbie. Had mashed & broccoli on the side. I still wouldn't feel comfortable picking up a large order without checking it in the parking lot before pulling away though. I would not order here for pickup again. I guess if someone really wanted Outback and had time to check everything it would be okay but definitely don't pick up for a large order. My order was missing a drink for the kid's meal and also the bloomin' onion (the only reason I chose Outback instead of Texas Roadhouse). I've been on hold for the manager for 20 mins so now I'll need to call back tomorrow and ask for a partial refund instead of potentially getting the remainder of my order dropped off to me. We have been going to this location for 20+ years. We almost always come for our birthdays. We were there for our Sons birthday Saturday late afternoon. I ordered the crab legs and filet mignon. As soon as they put my dish in front of me I could smell a fishy odor. I smelled the crab legs and they smelled like ammonia. Sent the dish back and the manager returned with my steak and baked potato on a smaller plate and offered me something else. I got the coconut shrimp. He took $10 off the bill. Not worth it. He didn't seem all that sorry either. My husband says the floor in the bathroom was extremely sticky. This place has gone down hill. Wasn't that busy at that time either. I could have gotten violently Ill had I eaten the crab legs. How the cooks and wait staff didn't notice is beyond me. read more

Came to this location as we received an Outback gift card for Christmas. We were told there was a wait and opted to wait in the car as the front door kept letting cold air in. We re-entered after waiting the 20 min period. The hostess seemed confused when we came back in and we likely would not have been told our table was ready if we had not walked back in. Once we were seated we ordered drinks. A staff member walked around the entire dining room multiple times with our drinks on the tray and asked numerous tables if they had ordered our drinks. We finally received our drinks after about 10 minutes and ordered a Blooming Onion to start. 2 out of the 4 people in our party enjoyed the appetizer, however, the other 2 stated the blooming onion tasted like nail polish remover and had to spit their bites into a napkin. We also ordered sirloin which looked like a burnt hockey puck on the outside. One person in our party stated his steak tasted like he had "just licked a grill". One of the worst steaks I have ever eaten in my life. Took the steak to go to feed to my dog instead. I also Ordered mashed potatoes as a side which were cold and bland. It wasn't a bad experience, but it's wasn't spectacular. I went in with moderate expectations and they met those expectations. Upon arriving we had to wait 45 minutes due to the new Covid, which was totally fine with me. We were seated in a booth down the hall from the door which was kinda annoying because every time someone entered my group was hit with a blast of cold air. Staff was nice and good. No overly long wait or feelings of being rushed. The service was very smooth. The food was good but no amazing. I first tried to order the Ribeye and Shrimp but I was informed that they were out of Ribeye. I was fine with it but again it was only like 5 pm, and not that late into the dinner rush. Not sure how I've never reviewed this place before because my family likes to go here with some frequency. The look of the place since they renovated a year or so ago is quite nice, with dark wood, ambient lighting, and the best part: acoustic tiles to dampen the sound. We all noted a couple of times how quiet the place seemed for as crowded as it was. If you have to wait for a table there is a self-serve water cooler with citrus-infused water; drink it as you watch the endless loop of food porn on a TV screen over the hostess station (steaks tossed with spices, asparagus tumbling onto the grill...oh yeah, baby.) Ahem. Anyway, we all went for a special: mini lobster tail and a small sirloin steak for the affordable price of $15.95. I will say, even though the degrees of done-ness are explained and pictured in the menu, my dad and I still switched steaks since his was less done and we prefer the opposite (more done for him, less done for me). The first bite of my lobster was a tiny bit fishy but then I didn't detect that again after that. We were all super impressed by our server, Kayla, who was not only informative but also kept us in the loop on everything ("It'll be just a moment for the drinks from the bar"; "Your order will be right out"). We actually caught the manager to let him know how well we had been served, and how often do you feel the need to do that? Really excellent. Are these the best steaks on earth? Well, no. From the get-go when we walked in, there was an attitude of contempt. It was like, oh my goodness another customer that we have to serve, dammit! As we got seated into the corner with all the other poor guests, I asked if we could be seated away from some people into a nice little booth in the corner, she rolled her eyes and started walking towards the booth we wanted. It took a long time for the waiter to come see what we wanted for drinks. When he did come over, he also had the attitude of contempt and Impatience. WHEN Our food came out, the shrimp were cold, and the steak was burnt, there too long on one side. I got a margarita, and that was probably the best part of the whole evening with the exception of the company that I had brought along with me. After I drink the margarita and put the glass to the side for him to remove the glass, he never even asked me if I wanted another one. Very unprofessional. So do I recommend this restaurant, no! They couldn't figure out how to process my gift card and told me his coworker is new and screws up when I rush him. This review is for a delivery order through Uber Eats. The prime rib I ordered arrived dry and over done - I requested rare. If they didn't have rare they should have contacted me and told me so. It was Grey meat. Worst creamed spinach I've ever had - they obviously used frozen spinach because it tasted solely of butter. And the baked potato was burnt and inside brown, it was inedible. This restaurant is a study in total opposites. There were some things that were absolutely horrible and other things that were great. GOOD, I came in on a Friday night at 6 o'clock and Restaurant was pretty full. They don't have and abundance of parking. However, I was seated quickly and. My server was with me in an adequate amount of time. The SERVICE was pretty good. I had a couple refills on my drink without having to ask. However, I constantly felt like my server was rushing me. For example, while I was about halfway through my steak, she asked and I quote "You aren't going to order any dessert are you?" When I said no, she went ahead and dropped my ticket off and said, "I'll be back to get that in just a bit." Like I said, the service was good but... BAD - The food. It's that simple. My salad was adequate but composed of a lot of filler. I ordered the grilled asparagus and it was honestly the worst I've ever eaten. Half of my steak was pretty good but the other half was filled with gristle. I had the ribeye. The restaurant and the restrooms both appeared to be very clean. We normally really enjoy outback, but last night was ridiculously bad. The manager decided that the kitchen being backed up was reason to not let the hostess seat people in empty booths. Her rationale was that people would get frustrated sitting and not getting served. That standing at the front of the restaurant overcrowding the exit/entrance made more sense. We stood up front for 40 min with empty booths/tables everywhere. At one point, one of the hostesses was about to seat us, but the other said we can't sit. Apparently the manager only directed one hostess to do this. When I asked to speak to manager, it was ten minutes before she came up. Then was rude telling my wife that she was wrong in wanting to sit. Not sure that this manager understands that the customer is priority one. She could have allowed people to sit, let the hostess advise that they are backed up and it might be a few to get taken care of. At least then we could have at least had water. Funny thing is, it was inconsistent, they sat party's of 2, but not party of 4...or more. read more

I think everyone can appreciate a good outback steak house. I can honestly say I enjoy the food at this location. To start off, the bread is yummmmmy! I am a little ashamed to admit how much of the bread I have before I eat! Anyway, there's always a good promotion going on here it seems. I had the steak and lobster which was delicious! The portions were a little on the small side but I have a small stomach so it satisfied me enough. Now my boyfriend on the other hand, wouldn't have tasted it. But the steak and lobster wasn't over cooked and the mashed potatoes were buttery and creamy. The restaurant was clean and looks like your standard American chain restaurant. I typically have a hard time visiting chain restaurants. My neighbor had given me a gift card for Christmas and since I was getting some work done at Pep Boys, I made the trek over. For a Friday evening around 7 pm, it wasn't totally packed yet. I bellied up to the bar and Tina took care of me right away. It had been a few years since I have been at this location and was impressed with the new menu. I guess I'm on a quest for the best ribeye steak. Even though I just had one on Monday, I ordered a ribeye and gave their new firewood cooking process a try. I made a smart move and brought my soup and bread home, so I could really enjoy my steak. The flavor of the steak was awesome and it was cooked to a perfect medium rare. I love a great soft sweet potato and their honey butter with brown sugar complemented it perfectly. You can meet the nicest people sometimes at the bar, and tonight was no different. I was a little worried when I first sat down, as there was a customer sitting to my left that took three phone calls and each time he told them how he has had five drinks and was totally wasted. Just after that he got a work related phone call and seemed to sober up. I was a little concerned when they gave him a sixth drink, but was glad to hear he had a designated driver with him, that wasn't drinking. The couple to my right was super nice. We had a nice foodie chat and we even shared some suggestions. I could see myself returning, but not on a regular basis, as I still prefer to shop independent, not franchise or corporate restaurants. I'm really not sure if these are franchises or corporate stores. Tina the bartender was super nice and I was surprised I could use the gift card for the tip, so I gave her an inflated tip, instead of leaving $1.20 as a balance on the gift card. "No Rules Just Right" still seems to shine here. Now if they had free WiFi, I may come in more often, just saying. I was a little disappointed that of the five or six TVs in the bar area, the majority of them were on the Hawks game. When I asked if we could put the Bulls game on one of them, they said that those screens were already requested and they put the game on the smallest TV and it had a fuzzy screen. I wasn't able to make my phone a hot spot, so I caught a rare Hawks game. I overheard the drunk guy ask his friend for a dime, so I dug into my pocket and gave him one. He wanted to leave Tina exact change with a $20 tip, not $19.90. Funny how some people act more obnoxious and stupid drunk, then can switch and turn into a pretty nice person. Family and I had dinner last night inside. Everything thing was good with great portion size. Service was friendly and fast. The problem is this restaurant is FILTHY. All dish ware had leftover grease marks, film and fingerprints including the glasses. I didn't want to put my hands or arms on the table. The napkins smelled heavy of grease. I took my wife out to dinner for our 1 Year Anniversary, and we ordered an 8 Oz filet mignon medium-well and a 16 Oz Prime Rib medium-rare, our food finally came out after waiting 45 minutes and the filet came out medium-rare and looked like a 12 Oz sirloin, and the prime rib came out well-done and 70% of it was fat, not much meat at all, we sent our food back to be cooked right and after another 45 minutes my wife's filet came out the same as it was (medium-rare) and the prime rib came out well-done again. We spoke to the manager and asked if the cooks were confused cuz I find it hard to believe that you can mess up 2 Steaks twice and still not get it right, as a result we got up and left, and decided to celebrate our anniversary another night somewhere else. read more

My wife and I both received overdone, fairly tough steaks that appeared and tasted like they had been reheated. Additionally, the charred ribs I got were overcooked, appeared and tasted like they had been reheated, and were covered in an excessive amount of barbecue sauce (perhaps to disguise problems with the ribs?). Overall, the Outback Steakhouse's pricing are completely out of line with the caliber of the food they offer. My wife and I will choose a nearby competitor restaurant that serves superior steaks and is less expensive the next time we go out to dinner. read more

Back in college I would claim that Outback has the best $10 steak dinner you can get anywhere, period. They've raised the prices a bit since then but it's still a hell of a good deal. I always start with a bloomin' onion (how can you not?) and a blue cheese wedge salad to accompany the complimentary warm pumpernickel loaf of bread. Because I'm exceedingly fat (but not really), I also got a bowl of the french onion soup, of which I'm a huge fan. It was slightly cooler than molten lava, so I ate it last and boy did it hit the spot. My main course was the 6oz filet and lobster tail, essentially surf&turf, and it satisfied. Add in two tall mugs of Fosters and you've got yourself a damn fine meal. The filet was a little tendony and given the quality cuts of beef I've had at Outback locations in the past, I was slightly disappointed. Apart from that, it was a terrific dinner. Much more economical than Longhorn, and about the same as Lone Star. Me gusta. read more

How is a folding table and folding chairs OK at Outback "mateys"?!? They are NOT! Did you take too many reservations? Yes! Can u handle that? No. And when I try to cut my steak with a butter knife and ask you for a steak knife don't debate me on whether or not they're the same knife. Because they are not! Everyone on the restaurant seemed disturbed today. Not fun at all. I'll eat elsewhere for $106 next time. Disappointing. Bread wasn't warm, almost seemed stale.
