Our last visit to the Outback solidly confirmed that I will not visit them again. Food was so so and not correctly prepared. I asked for a cocktail made with Southern Comfort and our server came back after going to the bar to ask what it was. I told her and she said they did not have it because it did not come up on her screen, whatever that means, so she brought me a cocktail made with Jack Daniels instead. While she was retrieving the drink, made incorrectly, I noticed that Southern Comfort was, in fact, on the menu. She had never heard of it and apparently neither had the bartender. Second round - she asked if I would like another cocktail made with Southern Comfort this time. I declined. Asked for the Chimichurri sauce on the side. The steak was smeared with it. They took it back, of course and "fixed" it, whatever that means. The steak was slightly overcooked but I accepted it so that is on me but disappointing nonetheless. The Bone in Rib Eye is the way to go. It didn't need any steak sauce. Has a wonderful smoky taste to it and every bite was juicy. I was very surprised with the quality of the steak. It definitely compares to some of the higher end steakhouses. Had the blooming onion and it wasn't as crispy as I'd like. It was ok. First. Chelsea, the server was really nice! The food however.. was MEH. Not even looking forward to going back. I ordered a burger..(I know it's a steak place). it came with CANNED PASTE avocado! Soooo gross! We live in California, the land of avocados.. and I get canned paste avocado, EEWWWWW! GROSS! I didn't even bother to complain, I just took the bun off and ate it without.. Celebrating a drivers license tonight and he decided on Outback. We did curbside pickup- it would be nice since there are only 3 spaces if people could park between the lines. Ordered online , picked the earliest pickup time, and headed over. The woman running around with the orders was in good spirits delivering orders to cars and being very polite. Yes you should add a tip to your order because running bags of food to cars in a parking lot , hustling past Covidiots who won't wear a mask while waiting or keeping their distance from others, isn't what food servers signed up for. It's hot and I'm thankful that someone else cooked tonight. I checked my bag before I left to make sure everything was in there- mistakes can be made and I really didn't want to make a second trip. Everything was there and hot. Only 1 roll for 3 people though. Steaks were fantastic- perfectly pink. Baked potatoes were a little salty, but perfectly baked. My son ate the lobster tail before I could ask for a bite, so I assume it was good. I didn't have room for my salad but it looks like a nice salad. Last night has to have been the absolute worst experience in this or any outback I've visited nationwide. Below, you'll find a laundry list of issues. But before I get to that point, a few positives (though they fade in comparison to the unacceptable). 1) They have a new decor -- looked good(ish) 2) Everyone seems quite courteous. Now the unacceptable: 1) The person taking us to our table, takes a look at my 9 year old and says: do you need a high chair? Are you f-ing kidding me. 2) You know how they serve you warm bread and butter? Not us. They forgot. We had to ask for it (after the appetizers). I literally thought they discontinued it because there was no one around us for us to have seen that they still serve it 3) We ordered drinks. Waters come promptly. But or bar orders... they sat on the bar counter for 15 minute before i had to go and ask the bartender to bring them... (our server was nowhere to be found) [Before I move on -- we went around 6pm on a Tuesday and the restaurant was only 10% full] 4) Our appetizers came (eventually) -- But: No plates, No napkins, No service set. Had to ask (3 times) and they all came at different times while the appetizers were getting cold 5) Asked to speak to a manager. She was on a call. Eventually shows up (after 10-15 minutes). Seriously? I told her that she has a coordination issue. It's not an 'individual' person's performance. I also made sure she understand that I was not looking to get comped for anything. 6) Food eventually shows up. In a chain-restaurant like outback, that was only 10% full, I'd expect you don't have to wait 45 minutes for your dinner to arrive. I remember going into this outback, mid week with very large groups and the service was much much more prompt. 7) I had ordered my steak medium. It came well done. I stopped complaining. Just ate it to get out. 8) We paid via the useless table-top self-service kiosk. Paper got jammed. So we waited another 10 minutes to get a receipt. [They brought ice-cream on the house saying someone told us it's a birthday... not sure how they knew it was my birthday... -- didn't help erase any of the above] People! get it right. I ordered the chocolate cheesecake but the chef insisted on expanding my taste palette by replacing my meal without asking. Tried their new BBQ cheesecake (at least I think it's new since I've never had it before). Can't say I'm a fan considering BBQ sauce and cheesecake taste like sh*t together but I'm all about trying new things. Unfortunately the tangy spice of BBQ sauce and the sweet richness of a cheesecake don't work well together and I ended up only eating half of it. Hopefully next time you send me shrimp with chocolate sauce so I can try that out too. read more

Well, not a great experience. it started out ok but went downhill from there. The place was totally empty and 6:30pm. Only 3 tables out of probably 30 tables were being used. That should have been my first clue. Got the filet and said I would like it cook medium. It came very VERY rare. pretty much raw. Had to sent it back. All our other food got cold before they returned with the steak. Waitress never asked if we were ok or brought us butter when we asked. Never asked to refill our drinks. Nothing. I could understand if it was busy but the place was empty. Took 20min to get the check and another 10 min to bring my Credit card back. I left no tip. I would normally leave 25% tip if not more for good service but this was just bad service. And also keep in mind that their prices for their meals are just way overpriced for what you get. I get better service at Taco Bell for gods sakes. For the prices of all things these days businesses can't afford to screw around be lazy. All the employees sit around and talk and don't really acknowledge that they have paying customers. I can't see this place staying open much longer unless they make some serious changes. Ordered delivery for the Kingsland Pasta, onion soup and the Bloom Petals. Ordered the meat medium-rare and it arrived well done and the Bloom Petals came without their much loved sauce. I telephoned to see if they would give me the recipe for the sauce since I was hungry and wanted to eat and I got a ration of garbage about proprietary ownership. However, no offer to send the sauce. The soup was quite flavorful but there was all of 3 ounces of broth accompanied, of course, with onions, bread and topped with cheese. Welp, it finally happened. I had a bad meal at Outback. It's my mom's last night in town and wanted to have a nice meal. Let me say that the service was great and I think the manager did try to help the first two times...but, after the third time undercooked steak was sent to the table, I opted to be fine with the side salad I had and let go of my hopes for a full meal. The manager didn't check back in and the waitress kept apologizing. No ones fault front of house, but there's gotta be something happening in the kitchen. Maybe they weren't resting the steaks long enough. Originally, I ordered medium but got it rare, well done and rare. Purple in the center. It was slightly comical that everytime the re-fire got dropped off, id cut into it to show the waitress and both us would let out a disappointed sigh. The waitress to our section begins to take orders from the table that arrived after us we've been waiting for a few minutes by now when she comes to my table I do let her know we had been seated before them she says she did not know. It is your job as a waitress to communicate with the hostess of in coming tables to know who got their first but I guess she must be new or just lacks common sense. The steaks were all undercooked (there was 5 of us with steaks), I ordered mine medium well, it came medium to almost medium rare! That seems to be the trend at this location. But the thing I'm most bummed about is the ribs! $21.99 for the ribs on the menu...it doesn't specify how many ribs you get...but so you know, you get 5! Not even a half rack!! The prices at Outback are pretty reasonable, but they should give you an option on the menu to order a 1/2 rack or a full...and above all else...the should know how to cook a steak!!
