Can't really recommend this place based on our experience. Food is okay for the price, not bad, just nothing great. Drinks and appetizers came quickly but entrees seemed to take forever. Waitress was apologetic and comped us dessert which was also just okay. We wanted to visit the Mall after dinner but the meal took so long the Mall was closing. I'm guessing poor management. Our Waiter was Kapono! He is by far the Best waiter we ever have had. I ordered The Chicken Salad/seafood Chowder Soup. It's my usual order, we come here quite often. It was delish! I really enjoyed my visit to this location! It was my first time dining here, and from the moment I walked in, everyone was welcoming and friendly. The restaurant was clean, inviting, and even though it was very busy, the staff did an excellent job serving everyone quickly and efficiently. The food was amazing! The bread was fresh and delicious, the butterfly filet mignon was perfectly seasoned and cooked, and the loaded baked potato was excellent. The honey Brussels sprouts were absolutely incredible, definitely a must try. The Parmesan chicken was flavorful and delicious, and the mango lemonade was outstanding. If you visit, make sure you order one, it's that good! I also have to mention the spicy chicken bites. They were absolutely divine! In fact, I recommend ordering two servings because one won't be enough. The only slight disappointment was the lobster and shrimp soup. While the flavor was good, there wasn't much lobster or shrimp in it. Other than that, everything exceeded my expectations. Location 4: On the Northern edge of the Northridge Fashion Center in Northridge, CA, off of Plummer Street (between Tampa and Corbin). Self-parking is free but hard to find as there are way too many businesses there that attract large crowds, including an AMC Theatre. There is no Valet parking near the restaurant. The few EV charging stations at the mall are a few minutes of walk and always occupied. The restaurant is a standalone building, it is not located inside the mall. Venue 4: Built and opened in 2024. The entrance leads you first to the reception area. To your left are the wait area and a good-sized full bar that also offers a few tables in open seating arrangement where you could order food and drinks without waiting for dining room seating. To the right is a medium/large sized dining room. It is nicely appointed in a modern Texas steakhouse motif. Indoor and Outdoor seating. They seem to accommodate very large parties well. Service 3.5: Polite, friendly, and (mostly) attentive, but service is server-dependent and can vary. Food 4: We had the 12 oz. Strip, the 9 oz. (Flo's) Filet Mignon, the 12 oz. Ribeye, and the 10 oz. Salmon. All meals come with a chopped salad (garden or Caesar) and your choice of a side (or you can get 2 sides if you prefer). Some other salads and sides come at a premium (for an additional charge). All main courses were excellent and a must try. The steaks were correctly cooked to the right temperature and tasted great. all highly recommended. Drinks 4: Full Bar: Nice assortment of specialty cocktails, spirits, wine, beer and soft drinks. Not sure why it took me so long to try them out, but when Texas Roadhouse is no where to be found, this is a great alternative. My party all claim to be meat connoisseurs , so they were eager to try as well. For starters, we had the complimentary bread and butter plus ordered the Wild West shrimp- fried shrimp on a bed of pickled peppers- aka jalapeños, pepperoncini, red peppers. The little shrimps were lightly fried and juicy. I enjoyed the pickled accouterments which helped bring some acidity to the dish paired with the ranch dipping sauce. Overall, very tasty appetizer. Tried the Longhorn old fashioned which is made with a special small batch Knob Creek whiskey AND also tried a dirty martini - both drinks were SMOOTH. We had some bone-in ribeyes (outlaw ribeye) and Flos filet. Everyone's meat was cooked exactly how they asked with Great sear/grill marks. I thought they were all salted/seasoned very well. Didn't even need to add some more. The meat was TASTY TASTY. The Caesar salad is classic and the strawberry pecan salad has a great variety of flavor. We decided to eat here when in town with the family and it was the right decision. I usually have mediocre experience ordering steak at restaurants since I feel that making steaks at home is better for price and nailing the cook. I could say that longhorn executed medium rare perfectly on my porterhouse cut. I ordered crispy Brussel sprouts which seamed to be fried and glazed with hot honey, this was delicious and something new that I hadn't tried at any other restaurant. For my salad, which is offered as a side for every steak ordered, I got ceasar which was a solid choice, nothing out of the ordinary but was better than average. I've got a love-hate relationship with LongHorn Steakhouse. Love it because I genuinely enjoy the food, hate it because I used to work there as a server for a long time. Their steaks are always a hit. At the end of the day, a great steak comes down to the cook, and when there's someone back there who knows what they're doing, you can't really beat it. Especially with their seasoning and some solid sides like mashed potatoes or well-seasoned fries. The ambience is always nice too. Dim lighting, cowboy theme... it's a vibe I've always liked. Service has always been solid in my experience. I haven't had any issues with the locations out here in California. I used to work at the one in Roswell, Georgia, so I was a little unsure when they opened one in Northridge, but it still holds up. It may not have that same southern feel, but it's still LongHorn. Good date spot, good bar spot if you want to grab a drink and talk. Not a super expensive steakhouse, but you're getting a really good steak for what it is. read more

Just an update. Came back here for a lunch with wifey and it didn't disappoint. As usual, staff are very nice. Fast service and excellent food. We came here for Father's Day lunch and let me tell you, I don't know why there are so many bad reviews. Our server Natalie (pretty sure that was her name) was such a sweetie and checked in on us. Her customer service was seriously top notch so if anyone at LH sees this, tell her she's wonderful. I'm not one to leave a review unless the experience was fantastic, so lemme just say, this was fantastic. I got the chicken sandwich and it was so juicy, crispy and well-seasoned. Inside it was nice and cool, A/C was perfect temperature, music was just the right volume, no one loud or obnoxious, everyone was happy. Came in New Year's eve, which I know isn't a great day to form your opinion on a restaurant but it was the same exact experience as our previous visit. Sat at one of the bar tables and wasn't greeted for 15 minutes. The bartender was clearly too busy. Two steaks ordered Medium came out completely different, one being very overdone. Fries were cold. When we let the bartender know she said she'd get it fixed, and we also asked for steak sauce which never came. Meanwhile the table behind us had been waiting to be greeted for 15 minutes and asked the host for help. The table behind them had been standing at a dirty table for 10 minutes. We asked to speak with the manager, she wasn't super friendly. Also seemed completely overwhelmed with takeout orders. Let her know her bartender needs more help and support. They comped the overdone steak and gave us a free dessert. This would normally solve any upset, but it's very unfortunate that 2/2 times i've been here and had the same exact experience. Ambiance is very Texas and cozy, Our server was attentive even though he was starting to get really busy. I dined here for lunch for the first time (I've been before but only for drinks at the bar). Their menu is very limited but maybe they have a different menu for dinner? Anyway, I didn't really find anything that was interesting so I got the lunch special .... Burger and salad. Salad was good burger was bland. Not sure what I was expecting but it was just bland. What's saving this review is the fantastic service. Everyone was very pleasant, polite and friendly from the second you walk in to the second you walk out. Our waiter was great and very knowledgeable of the menu and drink items (Ishmail... I think I may have spelled it wrong). The manager was wonderful as well. He continued checking on all tables making sure everything is good and stepped in whenever he saw fit. Great service! There's plenty of parking since this place is located in the same shopping center of the Northridge mall. I have a bit of a thing for fun American eateries like this, so I admittedly came in with elevated hopes. When our Yard House plan fell through, we walked over the lot to LongHorn - formerly Macaroni Grill. It was a Friday and we had just struck out with Yard House, CPK and Wood Ranch - surprisingly, LongHorn had empty tables and could seat us right away. We were a little suspicious, but grateful. Service was efficient and present. The interior is sizable, and they play sports on the TVs. The booths are comfy enough. We received our order relatively quickly, a short while after we received bread. The bread was not a flavor that I particularly liked, but I can definitely appreciate a restaurant that offers complimentary bread. I had the Steak and Shrimp Skewers with a Baked Potato and side of Broccoli. Everything was decent... Not something I'd come back for, but an okay meal, all the same. I was treated to Longhorn last weekend and was impressed how good everything was, especially for a large non-upscale restaurant. Great food and nice family-friendly vibe. This was once Macaroni Grill restaurant, and now Longhorn Steakhouse, located on the restaurant side of Westfield Mall across the parking lot from Yard House and Red Robin. Plentiful parking on hand. We made reservations online and got seated 5 minutes after checking-in. The bar area near the entrance is the perfect spot for watching the game and enjoying a cold. The interior offers modern rustic ranch atmosphere which is warm and cozy. Although the meat selections aren't extensive, their ribeye and porterhouse are solid choices. We ordered the Outlaw (rib-eye) and Longhorn (porterhouse), both were cooked perfectly medium and well-seasoned. I preferred the porterhouse more than the ribeye, which I thought was more succulent and flavorful. Also, it's two cuts of meat in one - fillet mignon and New York strip. Mac N Cheese, grill corn and steam broccoli sides that we ordered paired nicely with the steaks. As well as the bottle of Bonanza Cabernet Sauvignon. For dessert, we had strawberry shortcake, which was delicious. Steaks were priced low $40's, great value and huge. Excellent service too, our server was friendly and prompt. Very "eh" steakhouse. It's fine if you don't know anything about steak and want a place that is affordable. They over season everything. When I go I asked them to whisper the word season in my steak and that usually comes out perfectly seasoned. Margaritas are really sweet-think cruise ship cocktails. When I go I usually get the flows fillet rare, or as rare as they're allowed. That's usually fine. This is not Morton's or Donovan's level steakhouse. I'd say it's upscale honky-tonk ambiance/vibes. As for service, there is this one really tall server named Frank who is so charming and thoughtful. He brings light and humor to dinner service. I always ask for him when I go. First time dining here and the wife and i both agreed we were happy to have decided on trying it. Sevice was attentive, slow at times but a busy Friday evening can be expected. I ordered the Parmesan chicken/rib combo and asked for a Shrimp add on which was primarily for the wife to eat. She raved about how good the shrimp tasted and i loved mine as well. Very good BBQ and rice pilaf was an exceptional side. I am the type that can usually finish my meal, but the portions were large enough that I ended up having to take home. Only negative takeaway, the loaded baked potato coould have used been a little butter, sour cream, etc. The Manager stopped by the table to assure that we were enjoying the food and service which is not something you experience often enough. The food is tasty, and the steaks are cooked just how we wanted it. The service is friendly, and the atmosphere feels warm and welcoming. My server warned me about the size of the steak that I ordered. But I was dismayed. I was expecting a ginormous 20 oz Outlaw Ribeye Steak for my entree but it wasn't. When LongHorn Steakhouse first opened, we tried it and it's been one of our go-to spots ever since! Such a great addition to the neighborhood. We've dined here many times and the food is always consistently good--fresh, flavorful, and with plenty of variety on the menu to keep things exciting. Our family loves it! We've also ordered takeout a few times and it's always been great--fast service and super friendly staff. Recently we dined in with our baby and they were so accommodating, which made the experience even better. The steaks, shrimp, salads, sides, and appetizers are all delicious. Did a to go order, first and last time dealing with Longhorn since first impressions mean everything to me and this experience was bizarre. called them to do a pick up as the app wasn't taking orders due to it being an hour before close. They took my order over the phone of a kids meal and chocolate Stampede cake - they sent a link to pay via text and I did ..I get there 20 min before close and no one acknowledged me despite seeing me standing there waiting, so i went back out and parked at a Togo spot and had to call twice to get someone to come out before closing only to get home and find that they didn't even give me my cheeseburger kids meal. I had nothing to eat when I got home and it was embarrassing - and that's after thinking of places to eat and finally settling on longhorn late at night. I also waited until open time at 11 to call the location and spoke to the general manager Eric and he refused to give me a refund. I told him what happened and he said we don't resolve these issues on Father's Day.... I said i don't think you're that busy, you just opened and he said he disagrees. I was so upset, I hung up and tried calling back a few min later hoping to get a hold of a different person to talk to but it seems they all knew and kept redirecting me to him as a joke. So I talked to him again and said I'm not trying to get a refund for no reason, I really did not get the main part of my order. So I gave him the order number and he was like well we can't do anything without an order number and I told him that I did give you my order number during the first call but I didn't want to argue because he wanted a reason to act up. He took that info and did not ask for anything else like the ending of the credit card number and I knew right then he wasn't gonna process the refund - he was just bs'ing - he then lied and said he processed the refund (all in 20 seconds) because low and behold I had no refund alert in my bank history, he told me to call again when HE'S in on Wed and to ask for him by name, so I called on Tues :) and thank God I did, i was directed to another manager Courtney. She helped process the refund and as suspected it takes some time, I can see that it's being authorized and processed. Eric is a mental case, he should seek help and longhorn should replace him as soon as possible. Doing what he did for no good reason. That kind of person is not fit for any customer service role let alone a general manager. Not every person who is asking for a refund is trying to get free food, try to actually hear ppl out and understand what they're trying to say. I wasn't even being rude in any way. This was my first and last time ordering from Longhorn, I will NEVER be back and will always associate the establishment with this shit person and experience. Got gifted a gift card recently so we decided to try this place out , we arrived an hour before closing and there was a waiting time of about 40 mins so we left meanwhile we did get called back about 20 mins later tho which was good. Didn't get the name of our server but he was great and attentive to our needs even during the fact that it was grad night so it was busy with big tables. We enjoyed our food and will definitely be coming back again. Only reason I'm giving four stars is we were told the gift card didn't work but I checked on the website listed on the card it shows there is $35 dollars on it. I did sign up for their club and emails, we were treated to a free appetizer. Which actually had expired the day prior, but they honored it, great service. Our appetizer was very good, we opted for the spinach parmesan artichoke dip with some crispy pita style chips, wish we had a few more of the chips, but otherwise excellent. All the meals start with their homemade bread and and butter, the bread has a sweet flavor to it, soft inside and firm outside. We are 3 or 4 loaves. Yum! I ordered their Ribeye (not the tomahawk) garden salad with blue cheese and a baked sweet potato. Everything was excellent, salad had a good amount of toppings, blue cheese was on point, the sweet potato was soft soft, melted in my mouth. The ribeye was excellent, I ordered it medium rare, cooked perfectly. The cut itself, although was a ribeye, was a bit more like a filet, but tender like a ribeye, seemed odd, but the seasoning in it and flavor was amazing. So it was fairly empty at 6 / 7. It was jam-packed. The wings were not what I expected. The shrimp was raped by the way, we had appetizers. Long island ice tea and margarita. First time coming here. Such a beautiful establishment. We arrived around 7 Pm as a walk in. It was a 40 minute wait. Which wasn't too long. Our server, Daniela, was absolutely amazing. Food and refreshments came out super quick service was fast. The steaks tasted absolutely delicious. Corn on cob was super delicious. I would definitely come back. read more

Always appreciate new restaurants in Northridge as it's great to have options. LongHorn is typically delicious but I've had a few instances where the food is inconsistent or the servers seem to forget about us. I love the aesthetic & ambiance inside & they play great music that really sets the tone. Pro tip: Bar seating is first come first serve, there are tables there where you can get served the same as the regular area booths & tables but without having to wait. If my family comes here for dinner and it's packed we usually just keep an eye out for the bar & if we see a table open up we take our seats there & are served usually very quickly.
