We shared one brownie sundae, and it was delicious.

Pleasantly surprised! Came in about 5:15 PM Saturday. They were not busy and they let us choose our table. Staff quickly helped get high chairs for the Littles and the adults our drink orders. I did not get the name of the young man who was our waiter, but he had a great sense of humor ;was tall trim, and had curly hair. this young man really stayed on task ,and anything we asked for was brought quickly. He made sure drinks were kept refilled without asking ,and to make sure that we had warm bread and everything else we needed, without ever asking ;excellent service on his part.. our food came out in reasonable time and it is definitely one of the best steaks I have had in a very long time, for a very reasonable price ,considering everything that is included .the bread that we got was hot and fresh with both regular and honey butter. Salad soups, and sides were all very good. The best mashed potatoes and ribeye I have had in forever . Generous amount of food for the price ,as well.. we left about 7 PM and the place was getting packed ,and now we know why. Definitely the best value in the area, for the quality of food that we got, including a delicious chocolate dessert to share.. Great customer service, in a clean , inviting environment. This Outback is a place we look forward to returning to, soon!!,

My waiter Gab was amazing! The service was great and the food was quick! It was a quiet mid week dinner so glad I was able to find a table in the corner to work and eat! Food was decent, on par for what I expect from an Outback! I always enjoy the Cobb with shrimp and no bacon!

Our waitress, Sarah, was exceptional. We didn't have to ask for anything. She suggested items off the menu and offered to get me the gluten-sensitive one when I mentioned I have an allergy. As part of restaurant weeks, I did the lobster bisque, filet mignon, and creme brulee (they subbed since I couldn't have any of the listed desserts). My husband had the meatballs, jalapeño salmon (which is very mild), and citrusmasu. Sarah recommended he should get it. We split a side of broccoli. The food portions were large. Most places give skimpy portions for restaurant weeks. Not Truluck's. The restaurant went above and beyond to make me feel special. I also didn't get sick from any cross contamination. It was the pioneer of modern churrascarias before all the imitators arrived. I used to frequent the old Westheimer location across from Walmart often, and back then it always felt like magic. Admittedly it has been years since I've visited any Fogo, and I'd never been to the Woodlands location before. Before arriving, I had talked it up to my kid telling her stories of days gone by. As we walked, I was hoping the nostalgia would hold ... whelp it didn't. The staff was friendly as it always has been. But after the initial greeting our waiter disappeared. Never saw him again. Our plates were never swapped out like they used to do. And in fact we just kept eating off our used salad‑bar plate. So much for fine dining. And No pão de queijo! I kept telling my kid about the legendary cheesy bread here. We didn't get any. Nada. And in fact we didn't get any of the sides. And I eventually had to ask for the complimentary mashed potatoes after being well into the meal because my kid kept asking when the mashed potatoes would arrive. The asparagus on the buffet honestly looked like green beans -- a far cry from the thick, vibrant stalks they used to serve. I remember they were like stalks of carrots back in the day. Some of the meats weren't even warm. And some of the cuts were tough. No premium meats ever made it to our table. The green/red steak medallions on each table to flip over indicating "more meat!" used to feel like part of the whole experience -- solid, good heft, almost ceremonial. Now it's just paper cutouts. Not just this location but the Westheimer one too in this regards. It felt like Fogo was basically admitting they're cutting corners on the tiny details that used to make the meal feel more premium. And honestly, those medallions discs mattered. They made the whole "more meat / no more meat" thing feel official instead of arts-and-crafts cut outs they have now. And the flies here. Ugh. So aggressive and persistent. I have no idea how they got inside the establishment. But they were annoying and relentless. At the end of the meal my kid looked at me and said, "Can we just go to LongHorn next time?" I really wanted to pass down the magic that I had remembered, but honestly I couldn't argue with her. "You bet," I told her. It kind of reminded me of seeing Depeche Mode as an adult -- the nostalgia was there, but the feeling just wasn't. Some experiences are better preserved as memories, rather than trying to be revived and relived. This unfortunately was one of them. Sigh.

My lunch guest got the crawfish hush puppies which weren't as great as the crudo- dry but came with an amazing gravy so definitely soak them up in that, but was lacking crawfish- had to search for them in each hush puppy- trust me, get the crudo. The catfish dish- wow- large serving I had to take home the leftovers. The crispy cornmeal was perfect, the sweet chili glaze wasn't spicy but more like a sweet and sour sauce which sounds odd with catfish but it works! So delicious. And that bed of mushroom risotto- creamy, and with plenty of mushroom pieces, no skimping there and we're not taking about teeny pieces and sparse mushroom in this risotto, good size pieces and plenty! Although it was lunch we also added dessert- the banana foster egg roll, crispy on the outside, great cinnamon flavor, a delicious buttery sauce, so you can pour on top as much to as you like and a soft, sweet, delicious banana filling. Perfect end to the meal on a sweet note. and then also had the black Aji tuna nachos so good lots of flavor some citrus to it. Mushroom risotto amazing. Service: impeccable. [EDIT only to correct to "Postino"]…read more I use the one-stars sparingly, I really do. This has nothing to do with the food, as we never got that far in the course of my miserable experience at this location (not sure if it's a chain or not). Walked into a relatively quiet restaurant somewhat later in the evening after strolling a bit in the summer Houston heat around the Woodlands. A couple of people recommended Postino. The issue arose when I asked for a possible menu modification. Specifically, I was trying to avoid GOAT CHEESE on the meatball dish I had my eyes on (which otherwise looked pretty tempting). The server indicated that they probably couldn't do it but I nevertheless requested this... a couple of minutes later the server returned with the bad news. Apparently, it simply had to be served as-is, according to the menu. This in itself wouldn't have got me to the point of writing this review. However, I, incredulous, was kind of laughing (you have to laugh) and said something like "so I can only order exactly what's on the menu, and the kitchen can't do anything different?" (slight paraphrasing, perhaps). There wasn't much further conversation with the server but within about 30 seconds of this exchange, a "manager" stormed over to the table and borderline-abusively shouted "is there a problem?!". This "mini-manager" as I will refer to her, proceeded to inform me that they could NOT accommodate changes because it would "violate the integrity of the restaurant" ... I of course I also found a bit humorous, and in this state inquired further about what sense it made to be so obnoxiously strict for someone just trying to grab a quick bite about 30 minutes before closing. I'm sensitive to the work involved in running restaurants and serving obnoxious customers, but I was NOT rude, obnoxious, or difficult. Just blown away by this treatment. I was then informed by the mini-manager that she was from LONDON which I assume meant I should accept that her cosmopolitan background and (I assume vast and high-level culinary experience) meant that I should shut my trap and stop being so picky. At this point I was compelled to mention that I, too, grew up overseas and was very surprised at this complete lack of flexibility. Within another 30 seconds or so of this dialogue, the mini-manager tipped the menu over on the table and abruptly shouted, "you know what, I'm refusing you service!" That made it all easy from there as we promptly (while laughing, partly out of shock) exited the facility. Huge disappointment and embarrassing in my view for a restaurant that seems otherwise to have maintained a great reputation - and especially so for the fact that service (and people in general) in Houston tend to be kind and accommodating, not typically RUDE or reactionary. I'm encouraging this restaurant to have a look at the service model. I can't say I'll try Postino again the next time I'm in Houston, but I certainly hope it continues to truly earn its 4.5 star rating, 'cause they sure did NOT when I was there this weekend.
