Last weekend I took my husband for dinner for an early birthday night out since we were traveling for his birthday. I ordered the Delmonico Ribeye and he tried the blooming onion chicken. All the sides had to be had too. Mac and cheese, chili, onion petals, and loaded mash. The service was spot on and they really stepped it up. The first steak was a tough cut (which isn't always obvious before prep) and it was about 1/3 just fat and gristle. They willingly changed it out and cooked it to perfection. I order rare plus to med rare because I can never finish them in one sitting and don't like dry steak, and the execution was flawless. We enjoyed the experience and the restaurant was clean and easy to navigate. Our server Lily was so incredibly helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend as both times I've been to this location have been great!

Having visited various Outback venues, I have experienced constantly solid, very good price-quality ratio - in fact, with the investment, it is quite challenging to find much better restaurant steaks. This steakhouse chain venue is of no difference. I ordered medium sized center-cut sirloin, prepared to medium, without extra butter, and accompanied by broccols. It was absolutely fantastic, just as ordered, juicy, and flavorful. Firm texture, yet tender. The experience was complemented by a nice, australian themed decor and friendly service.

My very undercooked sirloin steak. They did correct their issue and comped me with no problem.

We walked in and were immediately greeted and seated. It wasn't super busy but there quite a few tables filled when we're seated. After we sat down, it seemed to get busy. The restaurant was clean overall. Staff were observed cleaning in between seating tables. Service was slow. It took a while to get our drinks but the server came to tell us it was because they had to make a new batch of lemonade and apologized for the wait. After we received drinks, it took a while for her to come back to take our order. After we ordered, we were brought bread and butter while we waited for our food. The bread and butter were good. We got spinach dip as an appetizer. It was ok. The chips that come with it are unique because they look like tortilla chips but taste like wonton chips. They were really good. The dip itself needed seasoning. I got a 5oz sirloin steak, coconut shrimp, sweet potato, and a Cesar salad. The salad dressing had a kick, which was nice. Some of the lettuce in the salad seemed old or over saturated with dressing. I ordered my steak medium and it came out still mooing. It was purple in the middle. The waitress was apologetic and ordered a new one. The second one came out under so they refired it. It still wasn't cooked correctly but at this point, I was ready to go. They did comp me for it and apologize which I appreciated. The steak came with garlic butter and that was delicious. The coconut shrimp were humongous and delicious. The sweet potato was good too. My mom got the steak and shrimp pasta, which she enjoyed. This was our first time here. The only major issue was the cook on the steak and slow service. The staff were so sweet though and the food that was cooked right was actually good. I'd give them another try.

Came here for my birthday on a Monday night and it was a great experience overall. Inside, the decor was classy and full of browns as one could expect from Outback Steakhouse. Overall, the atmosphere is more calm than the Rowdy Texas Roadhouse. There's a time and place for everything. The Booth seats were comfy and our orders were taken. I opted for a Sirloin Steak with Coconut Shrimp along with an appetizer of French Onion Soup. French Onion Soup was done really well with enough cheese and bread. My Caesar salad also came and it was one of the best Caesars I had in a long time. The Sirloin Steak came and it was cooked and seasoned very well and not too rough. Service was great and attentive as well. The only negative was the men's bathroom needed some attention. Overall, a good experience. I definitely recommend.

Service was good and restaurant was clean. The one thing I love about outback is the big booth not many left like that even chili is getting rid of them. Soda was great I had 3 diet cokes thanks to the good service. I saw a commercial $14.99 deal so I went to try it. I had coconut shrimp which were not bad. But not amazing either. Granted I'm comparing this to what I have had in Hawaii. Even the frozen coconut shrimp from Costco is better cooked in an air fryer. The fries were just okay maybe slightly undercooked. The plate was hot a clear sign that the problem is leaving food under a heat lamp and not serving it fresh. The coconut shrimp came with a side of ranch which was the final straw. How about some pineapple dipping sauce or something that goes with coconut shrimp. Ranch is not ideal here The salad I had with ranch no onions and it still had a weird taste I can't put my finger on it but I remember thinking the same thing last time I was here which was a few years ago. I used to love the diner salad here but at some point they changed something and do something weird. I also think the bread is weird. Maybe it's an Australian thing but if I'm eating bread I don't want whole wheat or what ever it is. I rather skip the bread because it's just not healthy why try to make it half healthy. I know this is an outback thing and it's not going to change if I don't like it.but the salad and bread are the two reasons I rarely go here

We received a giftcard to Outback Steakhouse for Christmas and decided to give the one on Southern Ave a try. For starters, the service provided from one of the managers Felicia was exceptional. We had a few hiccups during our visit, but she made sure to rectify them. ALL of the food we ordered tasted great. The coconut shrimp, fantastic. The toowoomba salmon, flavorful (broccoli was steamed to perfection). However, the drinks we ordered were very inconsistent. I started off with the Aussie rum punch & it taste like syrup. My Fiancé ordered the Maker's Mate initially & raved about it, so I decided to swap my drink for it. We ended up having to get the drink re-made twice, as the drink did not taste the same at all. Felicia was very kind and ended up making the cocktail for us, which was consistent to the first one my fiancé ordered. Our server Adrianna was kind, but at some point it appears our food was never put in the system. Felicia ended up taking care of our tab, which compensated for the inconvenience. Again, the chefs were working hard behind the scenes because our food was great. Overall, this might have been a bad night for the establishment. For the team to go out of their way to rectify the issue, we would definitely be open to giving them another shot in the future!

Great food, service needs a little bit of work…read more First off, let me start by saying the food was really delicious. I thought they had some interesting and unique items on the menu. It is not your typical steakhouse and you definitely get the feeling that each dish is curated by the chef. We ordered the deviled eggs and what I believe are called short ribs, sliders off of the happy hour menu. I'm assuming that menu changes semi often because they don't have it on their website (which is a plus to me ). The deviled eggs were some of the best I've ever had and were only five dollars. The short rib sliders were a little bit dry, but overall had great flavor. For our main course we ordered the New York strip over fried rice and the crab Rangoon Arancini. Both were incredible with great flavors. The strip was a little bit overcooked for my liking. I ordered medium rare and probably got somewhere around medium well. However, because it was served over fried rice and topped with Katsu miso butter it was still delicious. We also ordered the lobster mac & cheese. The lobster mac & cheese had a great flavor, but to be honest, there was too much of it. Sort of a strange critique, but it could easily have served four people and was just too large for only my wife and I. It was very rich, but overall still very good. The service was a little slow. They had one server and a bartender who were running food. It looked like the server was responsible for every table. We arrived at about 5:00 and got out of there around 6:45. I assume that because they are a smaller restaurant, they may just be getting their feet under them in that regard and can see that issue being easily solved by adding another server. That being said the service at the restaurant was extremely friendly and professional. If I was to change a few small things to put this restaurant over the top, it would be the following: 1. Toasted or warmed up buns for the sliders. 2. Faster service. 3. Smaller portions for the lobster Mac or at least have the server inform smaller tables about how large the portions are. Keep in mind that was the only dish that we felt was just a little too much. Overall, I don't think any of these deficiencies are impactful enough to reduce a five star rating to a four star rating. All the food I saw the other tables also looked really delicious. I highly recommend you try this restaurant. Worst case scenario get yourself a bottle of wine. Sit and talk for a little longer if the food takes some time. It might just be because the chef is putting a lot of work into making sure every dish is perfect.

She kept us informed with updates on our food and promptly provided additional salsa when requested. Her excellent customer service truly enhanced our dining experience. We ordered three Prime Rib Sandwiches from the happy hour menu, all served with fries and lightly toasted bread. We also ordered the largest Prime Rib dinner from the regular menu, served with asparagus and mashed potatoes. In addition, we enjoyed the calamari appetizer and the bacon-wrapped scallops from the happy hour menu. All of our food arrived hot, fresh, and delicious. We were very impressed with both the quality and presentation of the meal. The only minor feedback we have is that the asparagus was slightly overcooked, and while the bacon-wrapped scallops were good, we would personally prefer more scallops and less bacon. Even with those small observations, everything was enjoyable and well-prepared. We love this location and consistently enjoy dining here. The service was outstanding, and as a wonderful surprise, we were presented with a complimentary dessert cake to help celebrate Father's Day. He was enthusiastic and provided a worry free experience. If you had a question, he got an answer. If you needed anything, he got it covered. He provided a very relaxing evening after a long work week. Additionally, all of our food came out in a very timely manner. Now the food. For starters, I opted for the tenderloin chili which was very flavorful. Despite the cheese not looking melted on top of the chili, it was perfectly heated and had a little spicy kick to it as well. The jalapeño honey cornbread was the perfect pairing. For the entree, I went with the filet mignon which was cooked to perfection, medium rare plus. It was flavorful and melted in my mouth. Rarely do I finish a steak in one sitting but I was determined to enjoy every bite. My steak was paired with their parmesan potatoes which was like an elevated au gratin. Both items were very delicious. For drinks I had the copper spur which was a slight riff on a classic gold rush cocktail. For dessert, I had the chocolate mousse which was like chocolate pudding with pizazz. Again, both items were very good. All in all, I would absolutely return. Easy 5/5 for me .

However we ordered the prime rib for 2 and the meat left much to be desired. It was not as tender as a steak restaurant would usually serve. The portion was very generous for the price but some areas of the serving were hard to cut through. Maybe I'm just spoiled with the quality of the prime rib served at Lawry's. In any event I plan on returning to Stockyards to sample some of the steaks served there.

It's the kind of restaurant that makes getting dressed up feel exciting and worth it, and I absolutely loved that about the experience. It felt like such a perfect date night spot or place to celebrate something special. The servers were also extremely attentive the entire night. Everyone was friendly, professional, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling overbearing. The service honestly matched the upscale atmosphere perfectly and made the whole experience feel even more polished. And OMG... the food. SO SO SO SO SO GOOD. Like genuinely one of those meals where every single bite makes you pause for a second because it tastes that incredible. I got the chicken orzo along with the lime icebox cake for dessert, and both were absolutely amazingggg. The chicken orzo was phenomenal. The lemon flavor throughout the orzo was bright, fresh, and flavorful without being overpowering, and the tomatoes were the PERFECT addition because they balanced everything so well and added a little sweetness and freshness to the dish. But the chicken... wow. The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside while still being super juicy and tender inside, which is honestly hard to do. Every component of the dish worked together perfectly. Magnificent is genuinely the best word for it. And the lime icebox cake was the perfect ending to the meal, refreshing, creamy, flavorful, and not too heavy after dinner. Honestly, I'm sitting here craving the food again just looking back at the pictures I took. This is definitely one of those restaurants that sticks in your mind long after you leave.

The restaurant itself is very cute and clearly designed for photos, which matches what I saw on their Instagram. Service overall was fantastic. The food, however, was just okay. I ordered the burrata and fig plate and was told they'd replace the bread with apple slices. I received five very small slices of apple, and when the plate was set down the waitress said she'd get more if needed. I later noticed I was charged $2 for an additional five slices, which together didn't even amount to half an apple. Ironically, the bread that comes with the dish would have been far more substantial. The burrata was fine, but nothing memorable. My friend ordered the chicken and brussels sprouts and didn't even finish it before having the plate taken away. The flourless almond cake was the star, a bit salty on its own, but with the ice cream and whipped cream it was a delightful combo which were the highlight. Overall, this is a great spot for cocktails, ambiance, and photos, but the food is fairly mediocre compared to the setting.

The Papas Verde had an addicting tang from the tomatillo salsa but were brilliantly balanced out by the chorizo and asadero cheese. The shaved brussel salad could have used a little more date and chile to balance out the vinegar but I was pleased either way. The elote was probably the only thing that fell short execution-wise as I didn't get much of the chorizo flavor, but the cook on the corn itself was perfect. The Gambas al Ajillo are absolutely a must-get. Juicy, sweet shrimp with an unexpected kick from the butter sauce and unsurprisingly great bread from Noble. The Tlayuda was a little heavy on the lettuce, but the smoked pork and bean puree combo were so flavorful that it helped balance out the richness with texture and freshness. I also loved the crispy contrast from the fried tortilla. We ended with the Concha and Mango Sticky Rice ice cream which sounded pretty simple but was quite impressive in its own right. The ice cream was a touch too frozen, but it ended up working out well with the crunchy cornflake coating and lightly warmed, pillowy concha to make a really satisfying ending to our meal. Service was excellent and the patio was well-lit and had heaters ready for colder weather. Vecina is on the pricier side for sure, but you will not be disappointed.

We ordered a bottle of wine and went to town on: White Bean Puree * Crispy Short Rib | Herb Salad | Flour Tortilla: Karaage * Aji Amarillo | Citrus Gastrique | Togarashi | Lime Elote * Chorizo Butter | Lime Creme Fraiche | Toasted Chiles Romaine * Buttermilk Dressing | Mexican Sriracha | Parmesan | Noble Bread Breadcrumbs Gambas al Ajillo * Wild Shrimp Co. Mexican Shrimp | Paprika Garlic Butter | Serrano Cruda | Garlic Noble Bread - this was the only dish that was not my favorite. SUPER flavorful but I wanted a more.. 'traditional' tapas Gambas al Ajillo flavor aka less paprika please. Saudero tacos (a brisket confit suadero tacos with a chile jam, aguacate, serrano cruda, toasted sesame, fresnos and micro cilantro) We sat on the patio for a wonderful AZ spring evening. The service was great. I also enjoyed their extensive tequila and mezcal menu. The only downside is the parking -- it's pretty small and shared with Lou Malnati's next door!
