We especially enjoyed the risotto and filet mignon. It was very unique to see that the menu had a drink section which had a special nod to many of the local businesses at downtown Winter Garden. Unfortunately, I feel compelled to leave a one-star review due to a very serious health and safety…read moreconcern. I suffer from a severe peanut and tree nut allergy. The menu described the cheese board as "an array of cheeses, local honey, and crackers" ($32). There was no mention of tree nuts or potential nut-containing ingredients. However, when the board arrived at our table, it included visible tree nuts and berries. This information was not disclosed on the menu, and the server did not ask whether anyone at the table had food allergies before the dish was served. Had the menu clearly stated that nuts were included, or had we been asked about allergies, we would not have ordered this item. After noticing the nuts on the board, I immediately informed the server that the menu did not disclose their presence. She then advised me not to eat the crackers because the box indicated they "contain nuts." Unfortunately, this was communicated after I had already eaten some of the crackers. At that point, the dish should have been immediately removed from the table and replaced to eliminate any risk of cross-contamination. Shortly after, I began experiencing throat irritation. I did not have my EpiPen with me, which made the situation even more frightening. Once I returned home, I had to take Benadryl as a precaution. This was our first visit, and the experience was extremely disappointing, not only from a service standpoint but more importantly from a safety standpoint. Nut allergies are not minor dietary preferences; they can cause life-threatening anaphylaxis. I have personally lost a family member to an allergic reaction caused by trace nut contamination. This is not hypothetical; it is very real. For the safety of your guests, I strongly urge you to take the following steps: Train all servers to proactively ask about food allergies before orders are placed. Update your menu to clearly disclose the presence of nuts and potential cross-contamination risks, especially for items like the cheese board and packaged crackers. These are simple but critical actions that protect your customers and your business. It would be unfortunate to see a charming establishment face serious consequences over something that can be corrected with proper disclosure and training. I sincerely hope you take this matter seriously and make the necessary changes.

Our table shared the Asian Seared Ahi Tuna - Sesame crusted grade A tuna seared rare, sliced over seaweed salad with wasabi, pickled ginger garlic teriyaki glaze & Chinese white sauce which was great. I had to try the Crispy BBQ Pork Belly - Slow roasted sweet & spicy pork belly glazed with house BBQ sauce over sautéed red onion with scallion & julienne pickled ginger, which was a little different than expected. It was more dry and less fatty for an appetizer like this and as unexpected as it was, I actually liked it that way. I also mananged a chicken dumpling soup that was on special. Wow! I could have made a meal out of this one. Heavy, almost like a chowder. I split the main with someone else at the table. We turned the special blackened mahi mahi and the 16oz Boneless Prime Ribeye - Tender, rich & juicy with an extremely smooth texture. Removed from the bone for easy carving, this robust flavored steak eats like butter, into a surf and turf for the both of us. The sides were shared as well. Steamed Broccoli Florets, Smashed Yukon Gold Potatoes, Sweet Potato Fries Drizzled with Honey, and Bacon Roasted Brussels Sprouts. All of which were amazing. It was a lot of food. Took about half home and I believe it was actually great value for the price. For a place in a strip mall that looks like nothing much from the outside, I really enjoyed the complete experience here. Sometimes places that are a little further out of the way end up with higher ratings based on their surroundings. Here, I believe that is not the case and this is a fair rating across the board.

Let's talk about the chicken & waffles--absolutely phenomenal. The chicken was perfectly seasoned with a crisp, golden exterior and juicy, flavorful interior. It's one of those dishes that makes you pause for a second because it's just that good. Our server was very pleasant and accommodating. We had a larger party booked and not everyone ended up arriving, which I'm sure was frustrating, but she handled it graciously and never let it show. The tapas menu is extensive and honestly a little overwhelming in the best way. There were so many tempting options it was hard to narrow things down. We went with the truffle fries, the mac and cheese carnitas tacos, and a bolognese-style pasta dish. Everything was decadent. Truly rich, indulgent food across the board, so this is not a place you leave feeling light. If you're in the mood for comfort-forward, indulgent dishes in a beautifully atmospheric setting, this spot delivers. Overall, I'd absolutely give it another visit.

As a group of returning customers, we were also disappointed that no effort was made to accommodate us. We've supported this restaurant year after year, and we expected a more welcoming experience, especially as loyal guests. My husband is an expert "asador" who loves grilling typical Argentine meats. However, he is very picky and looks for cuts of meat that he would find in his native country, Argentina. It's hard to find those cuts in a regular grocery store. Carnez definitely has all the cuts he needs for an authentic Argentine asado. My uncle was so impressed with the flap meat's tenderness and he loved the chorizo's flavor. He enjoyed the meat so much that he plans on placing an order! The drink and dinner menu are always delicious as I had a vodka and tonic and my daughter had a margarita!! For dinner we had Flo's filet and an Outlaw Ribeye, all came out medium as we asked and did not disappoint! The steaks were of good quality, cut like butter and the perfect size! We love walking in and checking out the decor, which has some pretty interesting wall hangings! A favorite is the huge Buffalo above the bar(where you can eat and watch sports on the overhead tv's).
