Never been to Outback many times as they haven't been very close but I am really glad this is here. I had a corner table with four adults. This location is new, and they are still working out the kinks, BUT I have full faith they will figure it out. My parents have visited more than once, and they said its always got a wait, and the people in this area won't settle for mediocre, so I have to believe if you give it a little time things will be great! I know the restaurant didn't make this choice, because they don't own the site, they rent it, but whomever built the bathrooms. . .just done wrong. There are two stalls in the women's restroom, the handicap stall and the traditional stall. Two stalls is NOT enough for the size of this restaurant, but also, the traditional stall is situated in such a way that its hard to get in/out of and its a tight space. Someone messed up there! For the food, my mom only eats well done (burnt, I know, and I hate it, but its what she wants) steak. She had to send her steak back twice because it kept coming out with red in the middle. The servers were wonderful, they saw the red and agreed it wasn't how she ordered it, and after the second time they just took it off our bill. So excited to finally have more dining options in the Hamlin area and this new location did not disappoint! It honestly feels so good to see our community growing and offering more places to enjoy a night out close to home. We stopped in on their second day of being open and was fully expecting a long wait... but to my surprise, I was immediately able to grab a seat at the bar for dinner. Shocking...in the best way possible! The bar staff truly made the experience. Priscilla, Courtney and Tariq were upbeat, friendly and so welcoming from the moment we sat down. You can tell they're excited to be there and that energy makes a difference. I ordered the Piña Koala Martini, the perfect blend of coconut and fruit. Smooth, refreshing and beautifully presented. The drinks not only looked great but actually delivered on flavor. And of course... what's a trip to Outback without a Blooming Onion? It came out cooked to perfection...crispy, golden and the ideal appetizer to complement our cocktails. I was also excited to see the Alice Springs Chicken Quesadilla is back and it did not disappoint! The tortilla was crisp to perfection, packed with the perfect filling, and the honey mustard for dipping just tied everything together. Our server, Christian was awesome. He went above and beyond anything we would expect. He helped my Mother find her glasses case that she lost in between our booth and the wall. He humored my elderly father's jokes without any sign of annoyance whatsoever even as I rolled my eyes at Dad. I generally do not love chain restaurants but I have nothing bad to say about this Outback. It looks exactly like every other Outback Steakhouse which is fine, and my ribeye was delicious. I didn't have much expectation but the food and service was really good. We had a great time and will be back again.

I was given a rotten potato, and a salad with the lettuce core in it. The potato was prepared, putting the rotten (a black hole with dirt for an extra crunch) side down so you don't notice it until you get to that area. It was dressed nicely on the top. The salad as with the rotten potato, looked good and not until you made it about half way did you find the core. The steak was over seasoned.The best item was the bread. read more

Hey guys, don't come at closing, christian our server lovedd to make snide remarks about us 'devouring' food fast, yes of course we ate a app fast we had six people, also, make sure you know where your card is, if you lose it there and Christian is your server you might see some charged on it from him! Glad we caught that it was gone before he was able to spend more! Now, i would recommend coming for the other people, it was very good. Food was a little overcooked, but that's okay it happens, but somehow the 'kitchen threw out the chocolate sauce so i got you raspberry' after telling him no raspberry ( because i'm allergic) and please put it in a togo box (both didn't happen). Our server, JOHN, was awesome! So friendly, attentive, and jovial. They were out of 2 steaks that my husband wanted, and John treated us to a cookie skillet to make up for it. Now, on the the food. Blooming Onion was great: crunchy, and hot. My boys liked the hot wings. Our wedge salads, Caesar salad, and house salads were all terrific. Cold, crisp lettuce made for refreshing salads. No wilted old lettuce here! The chili (no beans, all steak) was a big hit. All our steaks were tasty, juicy, and tender. Husband enjoyed his ribeye. My boys (20 and 15) both loved their sweet potato sides. Had to end the meal with the cookie skillet, always a crowd pleaser (though where my family found room to fit it in, I don't know). I haven't eaten at Outback in years because the menu is "just okay." Since Outback is officially open here in Horizon West, we have eaten there a few times. The main course food is good and priced appropriately. As for service, we have enjoyed everyone on staff except Elizabeth who rarely comes by and checks on you, and was always trying to up-sell you on liquor drinks and desserts. If you don't buy anything extra, then she gives you a look. One time we had her husband as a server and she came over to our table to up-sell us on her husband's table. I have never had a server come across the restaurant to suggest something on behalf of another server. We didn't know we had her husband serving us until I asked him out of curiosity. I would like to leave a compliment for Gisel at the New Independence Parkway location. She was so friendly, personable, and professional! The food was amazing. I was very specific about my order not having too much butter or oil and my sirloin being super lean, and she delivered everything perfectly. The atmosphere was great, and she truly seems to enjoy her job because she makes customers feel like celebrities. Food was pretty good but I ordered 2 kids apple juice and only gave me 1. Then when I asked for 2 water she never delivered it to us. And then when we went to pay she said we couldn't pay for 2 gift cards and we talked to the manager and she still said we couldn't pay with 2 gift cards. And lastly we went to pay but our server said to pay 20% tip but we wanted to pay 18% tip, when she wasn't even that good but I did the 20% anyways. FYI tipping is called tipping for a reason and it means to appreciate how good your server is, not based on your party size and tipping is optional I'm pretty sure. And then we were 2 parties but we thought we would pay for our own meals separately but no they took the entire order of our 2 parties and split it which if I would pay for my own meal it would be $30 but instead I had to pay $72. So overall food was 3 stars and service was 2 stars. Worst experience at outback when I come here a lot. read more

Tried our new Outback for the first time for dinner tonight and we will most definitely be back. Our server, Ivan, was top notch. Recommended a couple of things and he was on point. Food came out as it should...appetizer first (blooming onion because it would be rude not to!), salad then entrees. Did not feel rushed at all and food was prepared as ordered. I was so excited to order from this new location! I haven't had outback in many years but now that one is across the street, you bet I'll be ordering more often! I ordered the bloomin' chicken with sides of broccoli, mashed potatoes & steakhouse Mac & cheese and a kids chicken finger with French fries & an apple juice. I was pleasantly surprised to see a loaf of bread & butter with my order! The look on my daughter's face when she saw the giant cup of apple juice was so cute! Shes use to her little juice boxes so the big kid styrofoam cup was super exciting for her! my chicken was so fresh and tender Very literally cooked to perfection. the Steakhouse Mac & cheese was sooo delicious and I love that it had breadcrumbs on top And my broccoli was flavorful and fresh, as well.
