I think I found a new fav Happy Hour spot. Power Hour at Morton's is Sunday - Friday 4pm-6:30pm in the bar area only. I showed up a little after 4pm and it was only about 6 of us in there at the time, but that quickly changed, because within a few minutes it was pretty packed in the bar area . The waiter brought over water and the Power Hour menu and since I was starving I got straight into ordering . For food , I ordered the short rib tacos & Parmesan Truffle matchstick fries. For drinks I ordered the Palm beach passion martini & The Maxwell which was like an old fashioned. Everything and I do mean everything was delicious! I've been living in Orlando for a while now and I have no idea why I haven't tried to dine here but I'm kind of glad I did for their Bites and Bubbles offer. It's basically an adult happy meal! Don't get me wrong I love a good steakhouse and I thought this was a good deal ($29) since it includes a cocktail but I wasn't a fan of the chicken sliders. They were pretty small but the smashburger was the way to go. I wish the packaging was more like the website but overall everything tasted really good. Fancy but not the greatest food. The service was good but the building had a water leak and a bucket in the middle of the dining room. We came during magical dining month and I'm glad we had the price fixe menu. I couldn't imagine paying top dollar for subpar food. The waiter was kind and the manager clearly had a lot on his mind. I've even come for dinner reservations recommended especially on the weekends and the steak is phenomenal. My husband and I went for Happy Hour. I got the petit filet mignon sliders and they were really good. They were very tender and served on a roll with a mustard mayonnaise sauce. They could have used more of the sauce. Larry got the smash burger sliders with a special sauce on a brioche roll. They were very disappointing. They didn't have much flavor at all. We went to Morton's for a magical dining experience, including the sliders and champagne. We did not make reservations. We had intended to go to a bar to eat. My wife loves a good bar situation. The hostess was able to get us a table in the dining room, and the manager was very accommodating. Our waiter, Joe, was phenomenal. He was very attentive. He recommended I switch from blue cheese butter to black truffle butter. Best decision. The black truffle butter was great, 10/10. My steak was cooked perfectly, 8.5/10. The potatoes were good, 7/10. The truffle corn was not that great. 5/10. The crab cakes were good but very small (7.5/10), and the sauce was watery. The chicken sliders are 8/10. This was my second time visiting this Morton's. I do love the ambiance and the sight of all the wines on the shelves. The lighting is perfect for a somewhat intimate dinner. Check it out. Wow! I have not been here in forever, but I am so happy that I went! Our server was absolutely hilarious! It was pretty crowded because magical dining was running, but the food was so good! We did order a couple of things that were missed, and then were charged for it, but they adjusted it at the end. I had the salmon, my husband had the filet with truffle butter, and our other friends got salmon and a New York strip. The food was absolutely delicious! Even though they forgot the truffle butter on the steak, it was still very flavorful and tender. The salmon was so yummy, I loved the beuree blanc sauce that was underneath.The mashed potatoes and green beans were so good. I got the chocolate cake for a dessert and it was delicious! The others said that the crème brûlée was a very good portion size and was good as well. I loved the onion bread, it tasted like a Hawaiian roll but with onion on it. We did ask for another one, but it was forgotten, but maybe we didn't need it anyway, haha! I would definitely return in a heartbeat to this restaurant! The restrooms were decent and the restaurant gave a typical steakhouse vibe. I'm not sure how long this restaurant has been in this location, but I remember visiting it over 15 years ago. Our steaks were both cooked very nicely to their respective temperatures. Pictured is mine (medium). They butterfly cut (with permission) my wife's as she requested medium well. The truffle butter was rich and creamy. The creamed corn was aromatic. Well seasoned, comfort food. The potatoes au gratin came in a huge serving, could be shared between 4+ family style. Nice and cheesy. What stood out the most was the service. Our waiter was attentive, but the hostess stole the show. She accommodated us at a large booth with rose petals and a happy anniversary note. Then she asked if we'd like our picture taken, and it was printed in a souvenir card and presented to us soon after! A nice gesture for a special occasion. read more

I ordered the original burger, which was a very big portion for for only $19.78 and it came with fries. I ordered my burger, medium rare and it came out very much well done. The same for the petite filet mignon sandwiches and the mini cheeseburgers that my friend got. Party sitting next to us at the bar got bread service which we were not offered so I'm not sure if you have to request it, but it does not come out automatically. Meanwhile, we went to Eddie V's for happy hour before and the bartender automatically asked if we wanted bread and brought it out. The service was slow, very lackluster, most likely not going to add this place to the rotation of happy hours. The food was overdone and not that exciting. Eddie V's and Ruth Chris's have a better steakhouse. Happy hour if you're looking for something like that. read more

I had really high hopes for Morton's which didn't live up to any of them, maybe that's my fault, but for the reputation and price, I'm confident it was a rough night. First, we began at the bar and I had a pineapple-infused martini. It was vodka (infused) and pineapple juice in a martini glass. No garnish, no pizazz, nothing. For a restaurant of this stature, it was an odd start considering the bartender was pushing how great it would be, maybe it was overhyped, but I was expecting something more. The remaining part of the experience mirrored our time at the bar. The best part of the meal was the salad. I will 110% recommend the chopped salad! It was incredible, great mix of ingredient, incredible dressing (that wasn't too overpowering) and a large portion. It is definitely big enough to share. The meat (bacon app and filet) was fine - nothing incredible, but nothing special, either. Neither had anything that differentiated from other restaurants serving similar meals. The sides were extremely disappointing. Brussel sprouts were oily, minimal flavor, almost cold. The augratin potatoes were steaming hot but undercooked - by a large margin - they were crunchy (like the ones that come in a box before they are cooked). While the service was good, it was also subpar for a restaurant of this caliber. I'm hoping it was just an off night, but I would be very surprised if I visited again. read more

We dined with them for a very early dinner at 4:30pm on Valentine's Day, they were quite busy and only accepting reservations, so fortunately we had some. The restaurant was already busy with people waiting in line to check in, even before opening. We were seated promptly after checking in and were greeted very quickly upon seating. We ordered brocolini and potatoes for the table; my wife and I ordered the 8oz filet and 14oz dry aged ribeye, respectively. Both steaks came out fairly quickly and were cooked to our preferred temperatures perfectly. All in all, the atmosphere was fairly classy, but I wouldn't call it particularly intimate or romantic because the tables are all packed very closely together. So much so that you might as well be sitting with the tables next to you because you can hear their conversations and vice versa. Drink service was a little slow because the bar was a little overwhelmed, they may consider staffing up at the bar for other holidays because our drinks for served only shortly before the food came, so everything seemed a little rushed. Also, tales in the center of the restaurant are so small that we couldn't fit two sides, our entrees, and drinks on it without having to ask the waiter to clear out our bread plates and bread basket. Not a bad experience, but not the greatest either. Service was prompt and polite but, as mentioned, rushed. The food was excellent. One thing I would mention is that they try to push their membership card thing a little hard at the end of the meal; it really detracts from the atmosphere of an upscale-ish restaurant when they're trying to pimp a goofy rewards card that "pays itself back the first time you eat at Rainforest Cafe." read more

I for one have many allergies that I can't participate in the magical dining, however when I expressed this and that I only wanted a side that was about $14, and the magical dining was still added. The rest of the table did get the magical dining, but I didn't request it. I had emphasized this because they don't have a lot to offer for me to eat to begin with. The handling of the bill was just not it for me. I do not understand how one price is written on the menu but then charged something completely different, if nothing additional was being requested. They're back!! Not sure what changed but our last visit which was over a year ago wasn't the best, but tonight's visit was stellar! From the host, to the staff and food, everything was fantastic! Our server was Debbie and she was a true delight! Very nice and welcoming. She had excellent knowledge about the menu and made some great suggestions! We ordered two appetizers, the shrimp (a classic) and the meatballs, the Caesar salad, 2 ribeyes (1 with Cajun seasoning), creamed spinach, and the truffle fries. EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS!! Both steaks were filled with flavor and super tender. I love a slight char and a medium steak and the chef got it right!! Our friends took us to Morton's The Steakhouse for our anniversary and it was nice. This was all of first time at Morton's so I got the 16oz. Cajun Ribeye on the suggestion of our waitress. It was very tasty especially compared to the other ribeye that my friend had. Our waitress was super helpful and courteous as was the assistant waiter. The ambience was what you would expect from a traditional steakhouse. All of our food was good, the lobster, the lamb chops and the oysters and thick cut bacon( probably the best of all) and of course the ribeye is something that I would order again. Dined with 2 friends. Two of us ordered steak the 3rd one ordered surf and turf. Everything started out great. Appetizer was incredible and our server , very attentive. We received our meals, which were cooked perfectly. Downhill from there. The person who ordered the surf and turf medium , steak came out very well done. Sent it back. New steak seared very raw in the middle. Sent it back. They re-fired it. We shared our steak with our friend. But by the time he received his steak, we were done eating. Not a good first time experience. For an upscale not cheap restaurant there was no apologies or manager who came to the table or even stopped by to inquire about our dining experience. We really enjoyed our dinner and Morton's. We went for their Halloween lobster special and it was delicious. The lobster bisque was creamy filled with crab meat, French onion soup had delicious flavor to it. The lobster and steak were perfectly cooked and the apple pie dessert was to die for our server. Tristan was the best when we return we will definitely be asking for him. We also loved the ambience some music to enjoy, but also quiet enough where you can have a conversation. The only observation I had was that no one ever came by to refill our water or ask if we needed a water refills which we thought was odd. Came in to celebrate my 44th bday last night and to also take advantage of their magical dining as well. It was our first time dining here and the staff made sure our visit was a magical one. As we sat down at our table, we took a look at the regular menu and noticed that they had put Happy 44th Birthday with my birthday on the top of the menu. I thought that was so thoughtful and pretty neat. I was pleasantly surprised that they had personalized my birthday. It made me feel special and that the evening was focused on me. Oh and another thing, the hostess took a photo of us and put it in a birthday card just for me!! Super cool!! So the food: Our order came with appetizers, main course and dessert at $60 per person from the magical dining menu. I had the wedge salad, pork chop and their signature chocolate cake. My wife and I celebrate our anniversary with a special dinner each year, usually spending $250-$500. This time we chose Morton's. The food was excellent and our server Joe was great. I ordered the Filet & Lobster Tail listed at $69. When the check arrived, I noticed a $114 charge. Joe explained the lobster tail was charged separately. I paid, but on the way out we mentioned it to a manager. She told us the $114 was actually for a three‑course special we didn't order, apologized, and promised a refund. All good so far. About fifteen minutes later, another person--calling himself The Manager--came out and questioned whether it was our first visit, then lectured us about menu pricing and how "next time there will be no exceptions."
