I'm looking for a new butcher in Orlando. I've already tried Wild Forks and Meat Wonderfoods. Yelp suggested I try Carnez. I understand your business is new, but do you have a physical location?

Hi Laura, right now we are only online. We have a facility based in Orlando where we process our meats, but right now we only offer online shopping at www.carnezmeats.com and we hand-deliver to your doorstep with free delivery options available.… Read more

However, it is quite fun, when we got there on a Saturday night, they were having a Taylor Swift look alike performance. I absolutely loved it. It turned out it was happening every hour so we were able to watch her perform twice. They also had someone selling jewelry and an artist painting, overall it is such a fun vibe. If you want a standard table, you need to make a reservation, I made a reservation like 15 minutes before and they only had outdoor seating and high tops available. We chose a high top and it was fine. They do have a kids menu so my son was able to order a cheese pizza with a side of fries and the other one ordered a chicken quesadilla with a side of fruit. On the kids menu it says cheese quesadilla but he really wanted chicken, I was surprised the chicken was a bit spicy. He ate a couple bites and then asked for his own cheese pizza after seeing his brothers. All the plates are meant to be shared so they come out whenever they're ready. My older son's cheese pizza came out immediately and then my younger son's chicken quesadilla came out after all our food had been delivered. I think this is what made him want a cheese pizza because he didn't have his own meal for majority of the time we were eating. When we finally ordered his cheese pizza it then took a long time to come out. I'm guessing it's because it's woodfired and his pizza was behind a ton of other pizzas whereas with my older son we must've ordered at a good time. My absolute favorite dish was the marinated cucumbers. It was a light and delicious. It reminds me of what I find at a Japanese restaurant. I also got the butter chicken, it was OK. I didn't find the chicken super tender so I would skip it next time. We also got the maple glazed chicken wings. I found the breading to be overly salty. I ended up taking off all of the breading and my younger son ate a ton of the chicken. I would skip it next time. We got the steak skewers, which were pretty delicious. Again didn't love it so probably would get something else next time. My husband did not like his ribs so he definitely should skip that next time. So overall, the food was OK, but my kids absolutely destroyed their pizza and I love the atmosphere, which is why I'm giving this place four stars. I see that it has great potential. If parking is a problem, I recommend parking at icon park and walking because it's about five minutes away. Our server was super nice, she was a bit slow, but she also had a giant table next to us, which could've contributed to that. I would definitely come back. I enjoyed our experience here.

We went in to grab some beef to make beef Wellington and thankfully the staff was knowledgeable enough and knew what kind of cut we needed. It was our first time making beef Wellington and it came out superb! I also really like that they have a frozen herb and aromatics like garlic and ginger section already chopped up. I despise peeling and cutting up ginger because of its funky shape and this saves me so much time!

The big deal about Wild Fork is their selection of meats that go through a "blast freeze" at the beginning of their sourcing in Nebraska and Colorado. The store is rectangular and not large. However, I was both surprised and impressed with the sizable selection of meats, veggies, desserts, seasonings and other food amenities. My go to so far has been the grass-fed, organic hamburger patties which are convenient and affordable. They cook up well with only a salt and pepper seasoning needed at the minimum. The help I receive each time is easy to find and the expertise is appreciated. Side notes: Delivery is available. Sign up for the specials and promos with your email address. The parking lot...when you leave, be sure to plan ahead since the only exit out takes you east on Fairbanks.

Our server Brett was amazing and made the whole experience even better. We started with the gator bites, and for the main dishes we had the shrimp & andouille cheese grits and a po' boy sandwich with slow-cooked red beans and rice. The mains were absolutely delicious, full of flavor, and seasoned perfectly. For dessert we had the beignets, and they were sweet, flaky, and full of flavor. The perfect ending to the meal. To drink we had the Hurricane and the Hemingway. The drinks were definitely strong, but absolutely worth it. The music, atmosphere, and overall energy really reminded me of New Orleans culture. Definitely a place I would come back to again.

Posted by Kathy Padgett…read more My recent order had to be one of the worst meals I have ever ordered. New owners are to blame. I have been dining at The Catfish Place since Steve Johnson (now deceased) opened it in 1971. I knew Steve and he made sure you were served a delicious and plentiful meal. After Steve passed his family carried on with the same tradition. We moved from Saint Cloud, FL years ago, but every time I went home to Saint Cloud I made sure I ordered from The Catfish Place. When my husband and I lived in MS, I would order 2 meals for pick-up. I placed them in my cooler and toted them back to MS for my husband and I to reheat and enjoy. That's how good the food was. Fairly recently the family sold the restaurant. When I would go home I was warned by the locals not to order from The Catfish Place since the new owners took over...jacked up prices and horrible food. During my last trip I thought how bad could it be so I took a chance. I was hungry for fried scallops & oysters. I ordered for pick-up. If I tried I could not have made a worse meal. The scallops were itty-bitty things not much larger than my thumbnail! The oysters? Where were they? All I received were tiny bits covered by a huge amount of greasy crispy fried coating. The little bits of oysters didn't taste quite right so I trashed them as I became very nauseas. Believe me when I say I don't trash fried oysters! In a nutshell, I can understand raising prices in today's times, but you don't change the quality or the amount of food for which The Catfish Place was known to offer. Poor Steve, he would be so ashamed. As the adage goes: "If it ain't broke...don't fix it!"

The onion petals were also a standout, with a perfect crispy texture and flavor. My sister ordered the seafood pasta, which she enjoyed, but I personally found the seasoning a bit too salty for my taste. The service is friendly, but it's been a bit slow on my last few visits. We usually have to flag someone down, and if you're not sitting at the bar, expect a longer wait for drinks. That said, they do offer decent drink specials, which is always a plus! If you're in the area, it's not a bad spot to pop into for a bite--especially on days when they have wing specials. It's also great for catching a game and hanging out for a while. This can certainly elevate the noise in the restaurant but I would still bring the family out as it is a very casual environment with booths away from the bar area. While I wouldn't go out of my way to visit this location, it's still worth a try if you're nearby!
