I bought a vest from this company through Amazon. The details for the vest said it ran small, so I bought a medium. It came and was STILL too small! I bought the vest on a sale price. When I contacted the company to exchange for a large, they told me that the sale was over and they would be charging me the original price of the vest. I explained to them that this shouldn't be considered a NEW purchase because I was merely wanting to EXCHANGE the vest for a larger size since their sizing was way off. It should have been that I return the medium and they EXCHANGE it for a large and it's a done deal, but they REFUSED to EXCHANGE and would only send the large at the original price. I told them they could KEEP their vest and just return my money. Guess what? They charged me a restocking fee! I WILL NEVER PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN. BUYER BEWARE! read more

I bought a pair of black Levi jeans from this company which cost $69. That's extremely high for Levis in my opinion. I've paid as high as $50 and thought that was a bit high. The jeans had a weird texture with little wrinkles all over the jeans. You could not appreciate the texture on the computer so I returned them; the wrinkles were not for a man my age. I paid $69 and they refunded a mere $49 to my account. That is NOTHING more than a blatant rip off. I'm through with this "Outdoor Equipped Co." This company advertises great sale prices and shipping rates online. I ordered through Amazon and returned them for my eight year old son who had saved his own money to buy them. I ordered them in his regular shoe size and they came in way too big. I returned them they refunded me $35 LESS than what he paid for them due to a "restocking fee." I worked with them to refund and gave up. Any online shoe store should have free returns and easy exchanging. I will not buy from this company and I don't recommend others to buy online. read more

This is my second time buying boots from The Outdoor Equipped. They have the best prices and fast shipping.

I recently ordered a pair of Asics running shoes from this company for $93.25. They shipped me a completely different pair of shoes, of a lower quality, but also from Asics and a similar color scheme. When i notified them of the error, before they agreed to swap the wrong shoes for the right ones, I had to provide them photographic evidence of the mistake. When I did, they sent me a return label, and I sent the shoes back, with the agreement that they would send me the right pair. I instead received a refund on my credit card for 62.60, 30 dollars less than what I was charged. Trying to contact their customer support is not easy, and when I finally got a support rep in an online chat, they told me that they HAD refunded me the full amount and even sent me a .pdf file that stated I was refunded the full amount. I sent back copied text from the Amazon return email and let them know in my credit card transactions i was in fact refunded the lower amount. Finally, they admitted that they made the mistake, and I am told today that they are refunding the additional $30. They guys are either totally incompetent, or purposefully deceptive. In either case, I would do my business elsewhere. read more

Ive ran into the same issue as so many other people with the scam restocking fee. I ordered a pair of boots for $94, got a $63 refund. Returned them in NEW condition and I am sure they will turn around and sell them at full price. I would have exchanged for next size down but they did not have them but I was still charged restocking fee. This company takes advantage of people not knowing if an item will exactly fit, why mess around with an awful company like this when there are such great online retailer like zappos to buy from, free shipping and returns! So, I recently ordered a pair of Dr. Martens, they didnt fit at all, so I returned them ready to order another pair. However, I decided not to after reading all the reviews on yelp. I was scared that what happened to other would happen to me and I wouldnt get my full refund. However, as it turns out, i returned my shoes and within no time I received my refund. So all in all, don't listen to a lot of the reviews. Everyone has their own experiences. I got the shoes in a span of a week and a half and honestly thats normal shipping time, so I didnt have a problem with that. The only problem was I wish the shoes fit perfectly because they were gorgeous, but again that does not fall on the company. So I would say go into this company aware of what you might be going into, but also they were very kind and helpful to me when I had emailed them constantly. read more

They are truly rip offs I ordered a item online from amazon.com, unfortunately it was shipped by them. First of all the item description about the items material content was wrong. The label clearly said it was different from posted. Next it was 2 to 3 sizes to small. I sent it back through amazons return policy. Now they are charging me half of what I paid for the item between re stocking fee and shipping fees. They say there policy is if you return a item through no fault of them then they can charge you. I saw some boots on Nordstrom which they did not have on my size and the only place that was not asking for a leg and an arm which had my size was this place. After reading the horrible reviews of how people returned their items and got a refund for less than what they pay for was scary, but I really wanted those shoes so I when ahead and purchased them and I was amazed on how fast it got here ( it took about a day or two, not sure how their shipping varies with each purchase cost, just for reference I bought a pair of boots totaling ~$130) the were in excellent condition, no complaints. Outdoor Equipped is the third-party seller for Amazon. I purchased a pair of Dr. Martens expecting a good fit and that they were pictured appropriately. When they arrived, the fit was two sizes too large, and not as pictured. The color was red when it was described as brown. There was no sheen only dull red. I processed a return immediately and dropped them at the UPS drop off the next day. I have asked twice to be refunded the full price of $103. I have received a refund of $70 with no explanation despite repeated attempts for an explanation and full refund. I have now learned not to purchase from this seller. read more

Horrible, horrible, horrible company! I ordered running shoes in December 2017 and paid full price through Amazon (around $175 with tax and free shipping). The order was fulfilled by this vendor. On the day they arrived I noted that they were the wrong size so I processed a return through Amazon after the Vendor told me they did not have the correct size and that I should proceed through Amazon. When I processed the return Amazon told me I would be responsible for $4 or $5 in shipping and that this would be deducted from the return refund; no other charges were mentioned. Fine. The return was made the very next day after I received the shoes. Well, when my credit card statement arrived, I noticed that OutdoorEquipped (HORRIBLE!) issued me a credit for only $129 out of $175!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They upcharged me on shipping AND extracted a HUGE restocking fee I never agreed to. Before writing this review I tried to resolve the matter with OE and was essentially told to go pound sand. Very very disappointed in Outdoor Equipped! Was looking for comfortable shoes on Amazon and found them through Outdoor Equipped. (Later found them much cheaper on other sites). Unfortunately they were a size too small and because I missed the return day by 2 weeks the Company refused to return, exchange or offer a merchandise credit for the expensive shoes. (Over $130!) Even though the shoes were in the box exactly as sent to me and only taken out for one 10 minute try on which is when I found they did not fit. I contacted the Company 2 times explaining what had happened but they completely refused to offer any type of exchange, refund or merchandise credit! It was also noted on my Amazon account that the money was refunded to me which was completely untrue! I am very very upset and disappointed with Outdoor Equipped!
