I recently needed my existing 24 OLP lights serviced and 3 additional lights installed. It was a big job and Chris, Alex and Josh exceeded my expectations. After getting bids from 4 lighting contractors, my husband and I chose Rick's company, Outdoor Lighting Perspectives. We do our homework! Rick is a truly nice guy, and his wife, Sharon, who I think is the "front office", is great to deal with on the phone. When Rick came out to the house to give us a bid, he was actually early. I commented on it his promptness and he said that he values OUR time and strives to be on time for every appointment. Now that's a breath of fresh air! Rick's excellent employees installed 6 upwash lights at the base of our oak trees in the front and side of the house. Wow! They look terrific! Besides his good bid, another reason we hired Rick was that he is also an electrician, so if you want high or low voltage lights, he can do it. All the other companies that gave us bids could not install the higher voltage system, which meant also hiring an electrician! A wedding was planned on our deck a month after the install, and two days before the wedding, the 30 year old transformer for the lights died ( it was our fault for not having it replaced ). The next morning we called Rick in a panic. Boom! His right hand man came that evening and put in a new transformer at no cost to us! How good is that?! The technician Tom has done work at my home twice now and I will not use anyone else. They show up on time, are very pleasant to deal with and their services come at a reasonable cost. Tom was here this week and had to replace some cable for lighting that is high in a tree as the tree had grown around the old cable staples over the past 6 years. He remounted the fixture in the tree to reseal it against water intrusion and put a new LED bulb in as well. All this only took about an hour and the results look great. I just got the bill by email and could not be happier. They also followed up with an email asking for feedback which I was happy to provide. I got several estimates, and Outdoor Lighting Perspectives was roughly equal in price but head and shoulders above the competition in terms of customer service. And they actually recommended fewer lights than other companies--which made me feel like they were genuinely interested in the final look rather than a quick buck. TWO WORDS - ETHICAL and INTEGRITY. I had a broken exterior light pole from a hail storm. I replaced the bulbs that smashed, but the fixture didn't work. Outdoor Lighting came to review the situation and it was something small and fixed it right on the spot. Most lighting experts either wouldn't have determined the core issue, or would have known it and charged a huge amount for labor for nothing (and potentially a new light fixture with mark-up). Rick did a great job in installing 10 lights in my front and back yards. He was easy to work with. He made good suggestions in placing all the bulbs. He also worked with me to install brighter LED lights to my liking. When one of the lights went out in about 6 months, I called him and he indicated that there are warranties on these LED bulbs and he had it replaced right away. Later on, more bulbs went out and he had them replaced with no questions asked. I am pleased with their service after the installation.
