I have been seeing Meg Knobel for my work for the last few years. A few weeks ago I got to visit her at Outdoor Traditions for my latest piece and had a great experience. Meg is always incredible, but adding to that is the environment of the shop, which is clearly a labor of love. All staff was friendly and warm and the building was spotless but with great character, with each artist displaying their work on the walls by their station. Most relaxed and comfortable tattoo experience! I got my eyebrows micro bladed here by a wonderful lady . Dani is the biggest sweat heart and so professional. She constantly was asking my opinion on shape or darkness and how I was feeling . When I went in for the touch up she took a different approach to ensure proper results and it came out wonderful. I had my eyebrows microbladed by someone else nearly a year ago and had their work corrected by Dani at Battle Royale. I don't want to bash too much on my first microblading experience, but my appointment with Dani was so incredibly positive in comparison. Dani addressed my concerns and was extremely attentive and understanding. She explained what she was doing and how it was going to correct the previous microblading. I felt absolutely nothing (better numbing experience than last time, too), and could honestly not be happier. If you're thinking about microblading but haven't followed through, definitely see Dani -- she will put you at ease and you will NOT be disappointed in her work! read more

I have been flying to San Diego for a few years now just to see Dominic. He is everything you want to look for when looking for a tattoo artist. For one, he is an amazing artist. Second, he is a great person (easy going, positive energy and no ego). He goes above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable and happy with what you want in your artwork. His shop is very clean. I'm updating this review because the initial review was made shortly after my first visit. Before my first visit, I prepaid for both my first session and touch up session, for the total of $450. After my first visit we made an apt for my touch up, I live in Santa Clarita and both my wife and I took off of work for the touch up appointment. We drove all the way to San Diego, only to find out that after partying in Vegas all the weekend prior to my touch up, Dani forgot about our appointment all together. She was audibly upset when calling me, and promised to make up for it she would give my wife a free tattoo via her husband and ensure my brows were so good they'd never need a touch up. I bought what she said, and agreed to make another appointment for a later day. Months had passed and Dani ended up moving to Portland but said she would come back to visit San Diego and give me my touch up then. Life happens, I get it, I was just happy to be going back in to get my brows finished. More months had passed before she finally got back to me with the dates she planned to visit and asked if I wanted an appointment for $150 to finish my brows. I was and am obviously offended because I already paid for my brows, she tried to double charge me. I told her no, and that if her touch ups were $150 I wanted my $150 back. I hadn't heard anything, so I blocked her on Instagram. I reached back out to her trying to be civil and again, asked for my refund and sent her my Venmo information. I am being ghosted, so I fully plan to sue her in small claims court. She did not finish the job she started, I didn't get what I paid for, and I want my refund. I don't want a free touch up from her, I don't want her touching my brows. I want my touch-up money back. Highly disappointed in this situation especially because I came to know her from a mutual friend we share. It's highly disheartening and I'd never allow her to work on me or anyone I know again. read more

Highly recommend this cute location nestled in South Park. It's a homey little shop with pictures and designs of traditional full body pieces from the artists portfolio. Our artist Dominic Vasquez was patient with us as we honed in on our design. We decided on pretty simple bands symbolizing our family. He Hand was steady and clean his touch was light and totally manageable. I am totally happy with the work and the entire experience. Look no further than Battle Royal. read more
