My family lives in Corolla and I'm always scoping out new breakfast or coffee spots in Duck to try out. Finally tried Outer Bean and so glad I did! Social distancing is upheld especially since it's just a counter with a little pick up window, and all workers were wearing masks. Service was super speedy and so friendly. Not sure where the negative reviews about long wait times are coming from. Got the tomato basil sandwich w/ bacon and it was delicious. The bread really made it! Was my first time there the other day and I had no clue what to get. A blonde hair employee with glasses helped me and she couldn't of been more helpful. She asked me what I liked and recommended the Kiddo and it was so good! I loved it so much that I'll be returning very soon. The employee was super nice and made me feel so welcomed. Stopped in for the first time today. Had a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich and a latte. Probably the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had. Period. Plus, it's actually cheaper than McD's. I appreciate the fact that the staff wears masks and takes the virus situation seriously. They were very busy, but friendly. Last, this isn't a 'fast food' joint. It took longer to get my stuff than McD's, but it was worth the wait and, hey, I'm on vacation. Plan on being a regular from now on. Thanks! read more

Looking at the other reviews from this poster, you can see he only leaves negative reviews for frivolous reasons. Outer Bean is the best. Great spot to stop for a quick drink or take the kids for ice cream. Also, the staff really gets customer service and goes the extra mile. Don't listen to the naysayers. This place is worthwhile. I will absolutely be returning to the Outer Bean Cafe! The owner was gracious and supremely helpful, not to mention that all of our drinks were delicious. I loved the Lotus smoothie and my sister enjoyed the Mr. Carrot juice; they were both refreshing and healthy. My boyfriend and I stopped here for a quick sandwich and got the "Nana Loves" which had pesto, hummus, tomato, spinach, hard boiled egg and red onion.... It was delicious!! We also had the "Spice girl" smoothie with pea protein, pineapple, mango, banana, ginger, cinnamon, flax seed, honey with almond milk.... Also amazing! Perfectly healthy food for a good price. Service is fast and pleasant. We plan on going here multiple times this visit. Even during the COVID 19 silliness they are doing everything they can to have fast polite service. You can order outside, call in, or online. This is a cute, new cafe right across from the Sunset Grille on Duck Rd. They have coffee, juices, sandwiches, ice cream, and snacks! This is a great stop on your way into or out of town. I got an iced caramel latte that was delicious! Inside is pretty small, but they also have a sweet seating area outside with a lovely view of the sound. read more

Tucked right across from The Sunset Grill is a delightful cafe you don't want to miss. Loved the Spice Girl smoothie one morning and the next had a delicious Vanilla Latte! You can get a bite to eat. Great breakfast! I have a severe tree nut allergy which makes it hard to order out at restaurants and I ordered the açaí bowl without nuts and they went very out of their way to make it nut free for me! online ordering is super easy and helpful! i come here all the time and i love the shaded outdoor seating. The smoothies are amazing (especially the protein ones) and the people working here are so nice!! they also have a 100% sanitation rating which is comforting during covid. read more
