Chocolate maple porter beer, surprisingly delish!
    Darrell L.

Tried their maple porter dark beer... delish and strong. Also ordered a dinner salad of greens with house made dressing... HUGE and delightful also. Sad no music until summer. Friend was a no show so I didn't want to order food. I was disappointed no music. But I'll be back. Great service.

We had a feeling this would be a good experience when we rolled up before noon on a Saturday and there were already 4-5 vehicles in the lot waiting for them to open. Great location with a number of high top tables, tables and a bar. Service was friendly! We started with pretzels which were excellent. They had a nice favor to them as they use some of the ingredients used in the brewing process. Beers were excellent! All brewed onsite. They even had wine for those who aren't big into beer. For a meal, we had a salad and pizza. Very good! If you do get a chance, walk over to the open kitchen area and check out their oven. It has a their logo tiled into it; nice touch. They have some great items to purchase as well; shirts, glasses, sweatshirts and cans of beers. Great spot to stop if you are in the area! Or worth the drive.

Love Outer Limits. Horseshoe bar. Hitop and picnic tables. Casual vibe. Delicious pizza. Friendly service Great way to spend an afternoon

Awesome spot! We went skiing in Okemo and made a reservation about three weeks in advance to visit on a Saturday at 430pm. What a great time it was! Outer Limits has live music on Saturdays from 4pm - 7pm. Probably recommend getting a reservation because it was about a 2hr wait if you didn't have one! There are a few parking spots directly out front but there was plenty of free, adjacent street parking when we arrived. Wood-fired food was delicious. The Cajun wings are a must try, and at least one pizza. They have the classic Cheese, and then they had the Vermonster and a special for the day. You can also make your own. I would highly recommend stopping in when you're in the area because it was a blast, the food was reasonably priced, and the service was good, too.

Great place in Proctorsville VT . Beers are really good so do 6 selection of 5oz pours and pick your choice for a pint later. I loved the 3rd EyePA which is their milkshake IPA and a really fine bourbon barrel porter and whiskey barrel exsobeer as well . If you're in the Okemo mountain area , stop in have a brew and brick oven pizza too .

Want to hear about a cool place? Come here! Created by husband and wife duo, these two craft beers with actual flavor and reasonable ABV. Thank goodness not another IPA joint where everything is hoppy. They do a great job of balancing flavors and various types of beer for a more inclusive drinkers experience. They also have seltzers, wine, and soft drinks. They also have a brick oven pizza which hit the spot nicely. Another unique story is that the wife's dad is very much into outer space that he bought a meteor at an auction and had it shipped to him internationally. I think it's sweet they named the place and themed their outer space beers after their fathers passion.

Easy reservation for outdoor seating, but you can't quite get the full experience here. We arrived and were seated, to find out that you can't order flights or smaller pours outside, as it was pints only. Since this was my first visit, I had my eyes on numerous brews to sample, but that was off the table, so I decided on their Weizenbock (Sbock's Brain), a beefy brew at 8% and a style I truly love. It was average, sorry to say. My wife had their American Pale Ale (Ground Control) and also quite average when comparing to the other breweries in the region. After going inside to use the restroom, I can see why they don't allow flights outside, as it is quite the distance from inside the bar to outside seating with a couple flights of stairs too, so I wish I made a reservation for inside. They have a performer playing covers inside on this Sat. evening and the inside was fairly full, but not packed. Service was a huge home run and the pizzas were solid enough. Nothing to make me make the trip back if I'm being honest, but certainly glad we visited.

This brewery was right next to where we were staying and the second to last to visit. They open at 11am and closed at 8pm on the weekends. It's located on the second floor and has a lot of space. They have a cool wood pizza oven and fun table games. Great selection of craft beers and food. The only downside, they don't sell cans. The way to purchase is with your own grower or howler or purchase theirs. To bad because I would have picked up a 4 or 6 pack. I just didn't need another growler or howler in my collection. Don't forget the deposit fee.

Ask the Community - Outer Limits Brewing

    Is the brewery dog friendly?

They have indoor and outdoor seating. Contact the restaurant for the definitive answer, but from what I observed: inside no dogs, outside dogs on leashes. There is no area fenced for dogs to run around unleashed. https://www.outerlimitsbrewing.com

This brewery is perched on the side of a mountain with one of the best views of the valley below. For a travel day during the winter travel season it was busy but not overly full. The place is cash only which is posted and they have an atm in the front room for ease. The mountain rustic decor matches the place and area. There was counter service for food and drinks. They had both canned cocktails, wine and locally made beers to sample. The beer selection is great if you like IPA's. We ordered two pizzas and both came out quickly from their in room wood fired oven and were absolutely delicious. Definitely worth a stop if you're traveling near by or during leaf peeping season

Firstly I will say they did have a sign saying cash only, but do have an ATM for those without any. It is also a place you sit yourself and then order at the bar. It is located at an absolutely beautiful scenic view and they do have some outside seating so you can have a brew and pizza with a nice view! Beer wise I enjoyed their All Day Drinker and it was a light and crushable brew with more malt than hops shining through. My wife got their lemon drop sour which was refreshing with a hint of tartness. They also had a cider as well as some IPAs and non-alcoholic options too. Pizza wise they had a good variety of options including some not so traditional choices. The prices ranged from cheese being $20 and going up to $25 for the most. Those not interested in pizza are out of luck unless the one salad sounds good to them though I will say. Since we had 6 people in our group we ended up choosing 4 different pizzas. Our selections were Meatiator (think meat lovers), Potato Pie (mashed potatoes, bacon, sour cream, etc), Honey Apple Pie (honey, apple slices, cheeses, bacon, ricotta, basil), and lastly Okie Dokie Artichoke (garlic oil, lemon marinated artichoke hearts, roasted red peppers, sausage, cheese, and red pepper flakes). It gave us a really good variety and like I said above our whole party enjoyed the pizzas. Had a great cook to it, with lots of toppings that packed in lots of flavor. The Okie Dokie may have been the crowd favorite while the Honey Apple Pie was the most surprising flavor. Leaned towards sweet with the honey and apples but wasn't quite dessert pizza. Great spot to come for a pizza and beer/drink while also taking in the nearby view!

I only assume she ran the kitchen- and she was NOT happy with the staff. One person even told her he wouldn't be talked to that way anymore. It was extremely tense and we were all uncomfortable. Her screaming orders and belittling staff was louder than any music or conversation. Waitresses were cringing taking orders trying to hear over her. We were there on a Saturday night at 6pm and they ran out of small pizzas and calzones as we sat down. One person got poutine that was ice cold, and the gravy was sour with no taste and cold. Chicken wings were just large breaded chicken tenders with some sauce drizzled over the top of them. Not great atmosphere with the incredible demeaning kitchen staff and food was not good.

For a rainy Friday afternoon over a long weekend, they were pretty busy but multiple tables were open. When we arrived our group split between the upstairs patio and the front picnic tables as we had our dog with us. The picnic tables out front is the only section that is dog friendly. When we ordered food we were told the wait is about an hour which wasn't an issue as we were there to hang out and chat! The food accurately took exactly 1hr and staff was very apologetic when the food was brought out. However, our burgers we're phenomenal! After a wait like that, I was definitely worried but they were cooked perfectly, just like we asked, and served warm. Some folks in our party were a bit annoyed about the wait. Some orders that shouldn't have taken an hour (pickles, pretzels) took as long as full meals which was strange. All in all, great experience and was glad we finally checked out Whetstone. They serve all their own beers at a really good price ($7) so just going there for beers and the view is definitely a move. From other reviews, it sounds like the wait for food is typically long so just be prepared to hang out - it's a good time!

The afternoon I went, it was very busy, and I overheard one employee tell one customer that they were busier than anticipated. But every single person there was working their tail off. Food and drink still came out quickly and with a smile and friendly conversation. Be aware that the hallway for staff exiting the kitchen is also the space towards the rest rooms, so be sure to give those folks the right of way.
