[[HIGHLIGHT]]Limitless has gone from a location in a light office park to its own standalone building, complete with patio and plenty of space.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There are generally half a dozen or more of their own craft brews on tap ranging from IPA through porter/stout. You may have even had some of their flagship beers elsewhere, such as JoCo Juice, a hazy IPA or Rolling in the Deep, a double New England IPA. I myself go for malt over hop, so I find their Marzen to be one of my favorite beers. If they have their Mexican lager on tap, then I also suggest sampling that as well. A flight of four runs you $14-ish and is a great value, as the sample sizes give you plenty of opportunity to really get a feel for their offerings. If you find something you really like, then you can take four-packs home to go in cans. Not sure what the stigma was or how it began, but we came for the post-party to a kids birthday party and wanted to have some adult time and enjoy some live music. However, the older female bartender was probably the most anti-child/parent person I've met in a long time. Not sure if she was never a mother or had a niece or what, but when asking for paper towels or napkins and she acted baffled like they'd never need to clean up anything before except for my kids spilling their water. When asked about trash cans to put trash, she also told me, "trash cans actually create more trash than they hold.". Lady was wound tight. Stopped by Limitless when in the area. We got there right when they opened and it was dead. We were the only ones there for the majority of our time. They offer a wide selection of drinks. Obviously they have beer, but they also have other alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. My husband and I split a flight. He enjoyed the IPAs he tried and I LOVED the sour - Taylor's version. I always love checking out the local breweries by my house. This might be my new favorite board game and beer spot. I believe it's bar service for the most part unless it's pretty slow. All of the bartenders were super friendly and happy to make suggestions. I ended up trying the "ghosts that we knew" it was a sour ale but not too sour at all. It also had hints of pineapple and coconut that were very strong and oh so sweet!! I've been here a handful of times and every time the female owner acts like customers bother her. Miserable. The last time in we asked to taste a beer. We were told they don't do tastings. This is a cool, very random, a little hard to GPS brewery in Lenexa. The space is so large and great for post-work happy hour or drinking with friends. Food options are only snacks. They do a nice flight program. I had the Panga Drops which was an easy drinking, light, crisp, flavorful lager. Would be a nice summer beer. The Shake it Off is a pineapple cream ale that reminds me of a Dole Whip. This was the bartender's suggestion. She was very friendly. Czech Yo Self was such a nice toasty dark lager. Bold with flavor. Not heavy. Great winter beer. This will bring me back! The Oatmeal Porter (Zipline) was very brazen and everything a Porter should be. I can't say enough good things about this brewery! The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly, they have a variety of beers on tap to suit a wide array of palates, the space is welcoming (although I'm very excited for the new location and even more space). We love the music on Sunday afternoons, and the food trucks/bands during the weekend. We love events like cookie decorating and pumpkin carving that they host! I appreciate that they give back to the community (Sundays with a "Pourpus" where part of each beer purchase is donated to a local charity for example), we adopted a puppy on one of those days! This brewery is great! It does get crowded around 5pm. We have been here twice and gotten in around 4 each time and there are seats available but then it is usually full by the time we leave. I love their 2nd and Elm beer (so much so that I bought a 4 pack to take home), and their Endgame is also good. I love fruity beers that aren't too hoppy or sour. My boyfriend has tried a few of their IPAs and he has also been a fan. read more

Rude disaffected staff, a large cavernous space that has terrible acoustics for the live music they're always touting, a clientele that's almost exclusively drunk parents letting their loud children run around, beer that's stupidly priced, and they don't allow samples in order to force you to pay full price on IPAs you've never tried before. We decided to check this place out #1 Coffee Stout #2 the proceeds from this beer go to an awesome charity for Suicide prevention in Johnson County. The brewery is hidden away in an industrial part of Lenexa and is pretty unassuming, but the beer is on point. This is arguably some of the best coffee stout I've had. It beats out Martin City's Alchemy for sure. A great amount of coffee flavor, smooth, and delicious. I didn't try anything else on tap, but for a first experience this was worth every penny and we will be back to try out the rest of their taps. read more

I have been trying to support a different brewery each weekend during the great pandemic of 2020 after reading an article that stated micro-breweries are one of the most susceptible business models to fail during this crisis. This past weekend I traveled into the deep dark heart of Johnson County to try another new beer option. Limitless Brewing; like my choice of last week - Crane Brewery, it is also in one of the most out of the way locations you would ever consider a tasting room to be located. Limitless is about 3 blocks from 95th and Pflumm in an industrial/warehouse/office park. After you find the place and enter, the interior vibe is about as exciting as the office park. Barren walls, generic tables...not an inviting atmosphere. I'm sure it was made worse because of the situation with no sit down customers to liven up the place, but they seriously need to think about an interior upgrade to make you feel that driving into a warehouse park was a smart move. My 4 stars certainly isn't for location or atmosphere, so could it be for the product? Yep! They sent me home with some beers that made that crazy I-35 drive across town worth it. I selected a 4 pack of Biere de Garde; a dark farmhouse ale that fondly reminded me of my favorite farmhouse - Boulevard's Tank 7. At $17 for a 16oz 4 pack, the pricing is right in line and at 6.8 ABV it doesn't put me over the deep end as quickly as Tank 7's 8.5 ABV. Consider me a new fan. The Life and Love was truly a hoppy paradise, you could smell the hops aroma as soon as the tab was pulled across a socially distanced garage at home. The Curuba Saison was a unique experience also; fruity, slightly sour, yet crisp and fresh for a day of mowing the yard. Three beers. Three wins. read more

Visited this after a long day of apartment hunting with my buddy while visiting him in Kansas. Nice quiet friendly place. The staff was very accommodating to my special request to have smaller pores in my flights. They did not have any food other than snacks. But I did get to try all of their beers which was what I was therefore. Beers were very good. Absolutely loved the special Covid-19 Themed beers. Check out their website to see what I mean. It surprises us where this brewery is located, as we're approaching an industry park there is was. Their menu selection is good, lots of good beer, seltzer and wine to sample. Ok. From out of town and have been to a-lot of taste rooms across the country. Building was beautiful and beer was very good. My only issue is it is a tasting room wo food and has so many unsupervised kids running around inside and out to the grass and back inside! Kids messing w the musicians guitar case and what they had in it etc. my idea of a tasting room is adults only and not having kids running around. A great selection of beers ranging light to dark, Pilsner to ale, there's something for everyone. You can do flights/sample size, half pints, and full. There are also packaged snacks available. A few weeks ago we met some friends in south Leawood at Burg and Barrel where we were surprised to see on their tap menu a beer from a Lenexa brewing company. When we looked it up we realized it was very close to our house! Isn't this exciting, we thought? Who knew? The IPA my husband had at Burg and Barrel was very good (Life & Love). Today we happened to be out running errands in the 50 degree sunshine and I said, why don't we go check out Limitless for a beer on the way home? I was a little surprised when we were driving up that it's in an industrial park. The location is probably the biggest reason for my rating. The tap room is nice, but you do still feel like you're in an industrial park. The gal at the bar said on Saturday evenings they often have live music out back, so we would consider coming back if they have an outdoor area. Their beer is pretty good. I had the Farmhouse Ale which I'm not sure I'd get again, but my husband's double IPA was quite good. He picked up a mix and match four pack to bring home for the big game tomorrow. What a lovely hidden gem! We ventured through the industrial jungle to this brewery on a Saturday eve...late. Between the 3 of us, we tried almost all dozen of the unique brews they had on tap. The hubby was dying for a classic style ... a lager, a Pilsner, a red, a something he drinks on the daily. Which they did not have (at this particular moment in time). I did see they have some fun things coming down the pike (Mexican lager, cherry porter -if my beer brain remains intact). PS - they have a back room with games! We are excited that a brand new microbrewery moved into our neighborhood! I think I first saw this was coming in a KC Business Journal or Star article, and I immediately sought them out on Facebook. We were able to attend a couple pre-opening events, as they worked on building the brewery. As we had already planned on being out of town thanksgiving week, we had to miss the opening night festivities, but we popped a few blocks over this past Sunday to get our first taste of Limitless, and we were not disappointed in any way! Since they've only been open for a few days, their selection is a bit thin, but as they ramp up production, I'm sure the offerings will increase in flavor and style. We sampled each of the four beers, and enjoyed each one. The Raspberry Blonde was our favorite, but the English Session Ale, Biere De Garde, and Hazy Pale Ale were all solid beers!
