Outrageous Interiors has a good cross section of styles, a large selection of fabrics for upholstered items and very interesting decorative items. I've shopped here several times and have spent a considerable amount of money on furniture with them... ...and the 2 star rating is based completely on the lack of a welcoming experience every time I stop in. Today was, unfortunately, no exception. I walked the entire store three times, passing staff each time, and not once did I get a smile, a greeting or an offer of help. I was expecting it, as this has been my experience every other time I've gone in, but it's disappointing. The primary reason I have gone to OI is because the location is convenient to home, but no more. Patterson Furniture has always been superb and will be my primary go-to from now on. They're located in Lilburn, and sell high quality Stickley furniture - the kind that doesn't wobble, has drawers that open and close smoothly, is made of real wood and is the kind of furniture you keep for generations. read more

Outrageous Interiors - Lots of beige... - Furniture Stores Near Me - Alpharetta, Georgia

I've bought several items over the years, including special ordering some 25' tall drapes which came out very nice. They gave me a great referral for a woman and her husband who hang drapes. More recently, we special ordered a different set of drapes, despite having great difficulty getting anyone to help us in the store. They arrived, we had them hung, then I later had one panel dry cleaned by my usual dry cleaner with whom I've never had an issue. Drape came back 4 1/2" shorter, with a rough nubby weave, not the smooth linen/cotton blend of new. I thought it was the dry cleaner's fault, so I took another single panel to a different dry cleaner. Same result. At this point I called Outrageous Interiors. Melanie said bring them in. I did and she said you must have laundered them. I did not. Both dry cleaners have been around for years, and they don't "launder" unless you specifically request it. I confirmed this through both companies. Melanie spoke I guess to the drape manufacturer, who said for her to take the damaged drapes to some other dry cleaner and if they don't shrink any more, then it must be that our dry cleaner 'laundered' them. What? Why would shrinking more, or not shrinking, be evidence of anything? And she kept arguing with me saying they had been laundered, which was irritating given that 1) I'm the customer and not a fan of being argued with and 2) she was wrong! Bottom line, we have two bad drapes, no offer of money back, no credit, just 'sorry but you're out of luck'. Never going there again. Terrible way of doing business. read more

This is a nice store. The staff is pretty friendly, but the selection is pretty limited. Most of the furniture is of the same style, like it popped out of the Grandin Road catalog or something. That's not my style, so this place didn't really do it for me. If you have the patience to order something though, they can order many things in different styles. read more

FOR THE WELL DRESSED HOME! This store has beautiful furnishings and everything is beautifully staged. There was not one thing in the store that was garish or offensive. I just love looking at home furnishings and this is the perfect place to do so. I really don't have room for anymore furniture but I will make room for twin mule chests if I can find them. They carry a nice selection of chairs of great size, (fit for King Henry VIII) and various fabrics such as leather, velvet and other traditional selections. I love their selection of sofas which are very comfortable and tend to lift you up. These tend to be perfect for the more formal areas of the home. They have nice beds with statement headboards that really command attention and I love their attention to detail because they don't just throw cheap linens on their beds. In addition to furniture, you will find accessories like candles, wool rugs, lamps and other decorative items. You are probably wondering about pricing and I would simply say it is consistent with Alpharetta pricing which is elevated. However, I am not one to buy a piece of furniture without knowing the manufacturer and their reputation. Along with quality, you will want to consider the uniqueness of the piece and I can say that they have some very unique pieces. This store is definitely worth a visit. read more

AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE! Every time I stop in this store, I'm always greeted and assisted by fabulous designers asap. They work and collaborate with me to plan designs that fit my preferences and price point. Everyone here is so friendly and helpful!! I've remodeled three rooms in my house with all of OI's accessories and furnishings, and I even had my curtains made custom by them! My master bedroom, guest bedroom, and living room get so many compliments, and I always recommend Outrageous Interiors to any and all of my house guests. They have great prices and a great selection. They were very helpful and attentive when I was in there spending $12,000 on furniture but dealing with them once the furniture has started to come in has been a nightmare. Told our breakfast room table was going to be ready to be picked up this Week. Wasn't put together. Told it would be today. It's not. Now my husband is going to have to put it together. We are getting company this week and need it. Still have 4 more chairs and a couch coming at the end of August. Hoping that goes more smoothly. read more

I really wish I could rate this store with a higher rating. I ordered amlost $9,000 in furniture and bed linens. Long story short all of the furniture that was supposed to be ready for my original delivery was not ready. I had to keep my clothes in boxes when I moved because the information Tom gave me was incorrect regarding availability of my dresser and night stands. When I called the designer I worked with, Tom, twice he said he would call me back and never called me bac... twice.. I had to work with the manager, Laura, who was extremely helpful. Apparently Tom didn't place the order for my night stands when I originally placed the order. I had to call back a third time to see when my night stands would arrive and miraculously they came in the day after I called. Again Tom didn't call me back to tell me they were in. Laura the manager called. The night stands were delivered then Tom finally called me but to tell me I only paid 1/2 deposit. I told him he was incorrect. He said he would review the receipt and call me back if there was an issue. How dare you the only time you call me back is AFTER my furniture has been delivered and you are calling to say I owe money. Once again your screw up! Shame on you!. The issue has apparently been Tom all along! I love the decor here but that is where it stops. As some of the reviews have stated I have seen people come to the counter and the designers ignore them and are too busy chatting. Every time I called and asked for updates on my furniture they told me I would need to talk with Tom who had been messing up my order and never returned calls. Thank goodness Laura was there to save the day. I really wish I could rate higher because I love their furniture. read more

I'm a local interior designer and find outrageous to be very accommodating. Sometimes I need a lot of help for bigger jobs but other times I just goi in to shop for a few items. I like the Alpharetta store, its close to my office and the inventory changes constantly. The designers and sales associates have always been friendly and I will continue shopping with them. I don't know if they were busy during the time you were in but if you need help don't be afraid to ask ...they will be glad to assist you. I would give them another chance with your design needs.
