She looked at me like I was crazy and told me that she didn't understand what my problem was. The wait for us was 20 minutes, which is the same for pretty much every other place in Huntington. We had to constantly tuck ourselves in and watch our backs to avoid getting an elbow in the face.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our food tasted alright, but there were several issues. We both got variations of eggs benedict. I got the avocado BLT benedict, with avocado, tomato, arugula, bacon, and hollandaise on top of ciabatta. It tastes good, and I especially liked how orange and healthy the poached egg yolk was. However the ciabatta was pretty badly burnt. My boyfriend got the "classic" eggs benedict, which was served over toasted sourdough bread. This bread was ridiculous, over an inch thick and impossible to cut through without shaking the table and making a crummy mess. I would've thought the classic eggs benedict would be eggs with Canadian bacon over an English muffin; this one was just not the best. read more

Stumbled upon this cozy diner-esque restaurant on my Yelp when we weren't able to go to Hatch due to early closure that day. I'm glad we came here! The employees are very friendly and food portions are pretty good for its prices. Their portions are pretty generous. The Rueben sandwich hit the spot! My children had the chicken tenders and quesadilla, they were happy with it. Their fries and tater tots were the usual...nothing to rave about, could've used some salt though. I saw what everyone else in the restaurant was ordering, their pancakes and breakfast entrees were pretty popular (they looked very indulgable). It was just okay, but I would come back when in the area to try something else. To drink, I had an espresso martini which was tasty. For my entree I ordered avocado toast, which was supposed to be smashed avocado, arugula, burrata, multigrain toast. Instead of creamy burrata, it had fresh mozzarella...so that was a little disappointing as I was looking and craving that creamy burrata. The avocado toast came with over easy eggs as well. It also came with home fries, which I requested to be well done...and they didn't come out that way. They were well seasoned though. Avoid this place at all costs--especially if you have allergies. I made it very clear, multiple times, that I have a severe sesame allergy. I ordered the weekly special, which came with sourdough toast, and specifically asked if the bread contained sesame. I was assured it did not. Halfway through eating, I noticed the bottom of the bread was completely covered in sesame seeds. This is not a small mistake--this is a serious health risk. When I brought it to the staff's attention, they were shockingly combative and dismissive. They insisted there was no sesame--until I literally used my phone flashlight to show them. Only then did they say, "Oh yeah, that is sesame, I've never seen that before." Not once did anyone apologize. No concern, no urgency, no accountability--just attitude. For a restaurant to be this careless and unapologetic about a life-threatening allergy is unacceptable. Their complete lack of empathy and professionalism says everything. We can't rave enough about this spot, we hosted my husband's birthday brunch there for a large group of 20 people. The owner, Luigi, was extremely accommodating and made every step so easy to help me set up all details. The food was delicious, the fondue towers we ordered for the tables were a hit, the omelettes, the waffles and the pancakes were all top notch, and the burgers and fries were delicious. The service was impeccable, very patient with our large group and on top of all the orders, coffees and drinks were consistently refilled. I hope they can find someone to help them run their shop because it has potential but for now, it's a hard pass for us... we'll keep an eye on the reviews. The place is cute, and the staff was friendly enough, but the service was just sloppy with little discipline from the team. They were all over the place, giving off a vibe like a minion frat party! The bar was in disarray, and watching the bartender make a drink was painful, with premium unmeasured booze splashing all over the counter. The espresso machine was a disaster too. The couple next to us asked how long their food would be, and the bartender had no idea what they ordered. Messy. The Berry French Toast bites were the only thing we were able to eat. They had a crispy outside and a soft inside, but the syrup was just so-so. The Mozzarella Sticks were big and crispy, with a light shell, but oily. The marinara came out tepid, Was it supposed to be hot? The scrambled eggs were brown and dry, and the bacon was off-tasting. It was crispy on the meat side, more "dried out" than cooked crispy. The "fatty side" was less cooked and "fatty soft." It came out cool, not hot or even warm. The smash burger was all around OFF! The meat tasted like it had turned the corner! It was covered with a ton of cooked onions (not caramelized, just cooked and slimy) that were not hot and had a funky taste. Whatever sauce was slathered over the top was not good, indicating a bad attempt or it went south. read more

Second time coming here. The place was empty but it was also freezing outside. The prices for the food were very reasonable and the selections were not overwhelming or too fancy. The salmon dish was very tasty. The turkey sandwich was supposed to be on a hero and then it came down it in wrap. It then came back in a hero but with sun dried tomatoes which we asked to be excluded in the original order. The mozzarella sticks were oozing with cheese. They wound us giving us the turkey gratis due to the mistakes of the kitchen so we appreciated that but did wonder how the chef made these mistakes since no one else was there. Kudos to the young waiter and manager (owner) for the fine service we got despite the mishaps. All in all-we would say give it a try. We will Be back and hope to give 4 stars next time. read more

We came in for brunch with a party of 15 and tried a bit of everything on the menu. The food was decent overall -- the standout was definitely the French toast bites, which were a hit. However, we were shocked and extremely disappointed when the kids' pizza was served with moldy bread. It was honestly disgusting and left us feeling uneasy about the rest of the meal. It's deeply concerning that something so visibly spoiled made it out of the kitchen, and it made us question the overall food safety and quality standards of the place. That experience really overshadowed what could have been an enjoyable brunch. They did apologize and give a $50 gift certificate for the next visit but unfortunately we won't be back. read more

They do not have basic eggs with bacon or sausage for those who don't want anything fancy. This seems unnecessary as some want just a well prepared classic breakfast. No digestion issues. Service: 5/5 - I was worried after reading some of the more critical reviews that my service was not going to be quick or good. It was exactly the opposite. Introductions were quick. After the food arrived at the table, the staff checked on me at least 5 times including a visit by the manager. They kept my coffee full. This was great to see. Hopefully they can keep it up for the long haul. Ambiance: 5/5 - Cheery atmosphere, nice design. They played some upbeat 80's music. They kept the volume at a soothing level for a morning breakfast. Lots of sunshine. Cleanliness: 4/5 - The restaurant itself was very clean. While I was there, I saw someone cleaning including the windows, etc. The bathrooms look a bit older like they were not renovated, and they were not as clean. Parking: 3/5 - Parking can be tricky in Huntington during busy times. You have to find a spot on the street or a lot. Value: 4/5 - The prices were not bad for what you get. Welcome to Huntington Over Easy! I see there are some negative reviews on the page, but my experience here was totally fine, and the food was really enjoyable. Stopped in for breakfast around 9am ish and it wasn't too busy, it got busier as we ate with families, kids and grandparents. The interior looks very nice, fresh, and clean. I like all the greenery they have going on in the front and around the venue. The servers are your regular high school kids, and they were friendly and did their best to accommodate, which they did. The eggs were delicious, I highly recommend them on Sourdough with some of the Thai Chili Spicy sauce, that really brought the dish together. The fruit was fresh and the coffee was hot, and they came around to refill the cups also which is a nice touch, not many places besides diners do that anymore. $27 for Breakfast for Two pre-tip and after tax. Looking for a new brunch place? Here's a good one! We came across this on the website and just had to try it. We came on a Sunday so it is free street parking. You can order from the breakfast or lunch menu. They advertised later hours 3 nights a week to serve burgers. Our dishes were delish! The Avocado BLT was filling and I loved the home fries that complemented it. I had something similar a few weeks at another restaurant and this was so much better and that one had no fries. The grilled chicken sandwich was good and the fries were crispy. Service was friendly and efficient. There is a drink menu you can order from to have with your meal. Today was my second time stopping into this charming restaurant for breakfast. We arrived at 8:30am to an empty restaurant but it was early on MLK day and about 20 degrees outside. Inside it was warm and inviting I immediately recognized two restaurateurs from my past the former owner Lou of black and blue and the former owner of the golden dolphin who I guess now run this establishment. The menu is inventive yet classic. I chose to have one of the egg Benedict choices, avocado BLT benny. It was served with a hardy portion of home fried potatoes my wife had an American cheese omelette from the "make your own omelette " section; it was fluffy, well cooked and flavorful. Coffee was strong but not bitter and the service was attractive.
