Forrest struck the perfect balance -- fun, knowledgeable, and great with kids -- so everyone felt completely safe and comfortable while still having an amazing time. Our 9- and 11-year-olds crushed 50-foot rappels and were so proud of themselves. Highly recommend, and we'd book with Forrest and Zion Adventures again without hesitation. We also rented our Narrows gear through them, using the new Virgin location instead of Springdale. It was more convenient for us since we were staying in Hurricane, making it easy to pick up gear the night before. Easy process, and Maile made sure we had everything we needed plus all the info necessary to stay safe on the hike. One tip: if you're not staying in Springdale and are booking a canyoneering tour, book the Virgin location. It's right by Kolob Canyon Road where Lambs Knoll is, so it saves you the drive into Springdale.

We booked the tour with Happy Trails Adventure Company and were so pleased with what we received. We booked both a tour of Zion National Park and a tour of Bryce Canyon. Our guide was knowledgeable, professional, courteous and considered our areas of interest. My husband is a photographer and my son likes to hike. Our guide managed to find the right blend of activities for all of us. He also made sure we had plenty of water and snacks and took us to amazing lunch places (which were included in the price). We are certain that we would not have been able to get to the places we wanted to see in such an efficient way without the expertise of the tour. There are a lot of people visiting the national parks this year as a way to have a vacation while still controlling your interaction with others. These tours achieved that goal for us and made it an amazing experience. We highly recommend this tour group and will use them again.

We saw some dinosaur tracks, petroglyphs, silver mines and a stop at the Virgin River. We love the Utah landscape and all of its beauty. Only thing I can say is that I should have booked an earlier tour to avoid some of the heat but that was my fault. I mean, Utah in late July- what was I thinking?! All in all, Darryl was amazing, the tour was an adventure and I'd do it all again, just at a different time of day. These tours are well worth the time as they are a great way to see Utah off the beaten paths in a really cool Humvee. This is an experience you won't soon forget, and one that anybody can do! What are you waiting for? Booking our reservations was painless. I made a phone call and spoke with Patty, who gave me a few options of times for our ride. We had a group of three-two adults and a teenager. (On the day of the ride, we we met another group of three that joined us.) She gave me instructions on where to go on the day of our ride, and sent them again via text with GPS coordinates so we could easily meet our guide. Mike, our guide, was fantastic. He was friendly, took some time up front to give us a quick orientation and then asked each of us about our horse riding experience so he could match us up with an appropriate horse. He was patient with us, as some of us had very little experience. The trail itself was not all the way flat, but not so challenging that a novice rider would struggle. There are a few areas where we went up hill and then a few where we went down. Mike advised us on proper posture to make it easier on the horse as we navigated some of that hilly terrain. At one point, he recognized that the teen in the group was getting a little frustrated with his horse. He gave him some instruction and then engaged him in conversation about music-something they had in common. I appreciated that Mike was able to include everyone in the group in some way. He's a good dude. After the ride, we were given some carrots to feed our horses. I loved that part! I think the horses appreciated it too. This may not be an activity that we will do every time we visit St. George, but it will definitely be on that we remember forever and bring along some friends to show them the beauty of Snow Canyon from a different perspective.

Booking was easy, we were able to get same day reservation on the July 4th weekend. Our guide, Eric was amazing. He was calm, patient and pushed us just the right amount outside our comfort level for us to come back with great memories from the trip. Our kids, ages 9 and 11 did great. For one of the sheer drops, he did a tandem for our younger one. This was a private tour, the equipment felt clean and we felt safe and informed throughout our adventure. Can't recommend enough!

There is a $30 mandatory cash tip added to the total of the jeep trip that is asked for immediately upon entering the jeep and going in Dave's (who is the owner ) pocket. The trip consisted of a four hour long stream on consciousness about how the Mormon religion is based on lies, his alcoholic and drug addicted family, how his sister killed his mom, how he was adopted, his two autistic sons, his "retarded" best friend who stole his wife's gun, and his current wife that is his 2cd, 3rd, and 4th wife. A few names of plants were dotted into the guided tour before we learned about aliens and other things in the universe. He made inappropriate jokes about other tour companies and doing drugs, seeing naked woman sun bathing, among endless other comments. The view from the top of Smithsonian Butte was beautiful, but not worth it. This tour was the worst part of the trip.

I had a very concerning experience with one of your shuttle drivers the 0800 timeframe…read more First, two of your vans were parked in a manner that made it difficult for other vehicles to access the East Mesa Trailhead parking area, laughing thinking it was so funny. Later, I encountered one of the previously mentioned shuttles with Utah license plate T32 1ZD driving aggressively. The driver came up behind me at a high rate of speed and began tailgating me. Unfortunately, the same shuttle continued following me toward Zion National Park. When it was safe to do so, I pulled over and allowed the shuttle to pass. The driver then accelerated away well above what I would consider a safe speed for the area and tailgated other vehicle. Speed limits exist for a reason, especially in and around a national park where there are winding roads, pedestrians, bicyclists, and wildlife. Driving 10+ mph over the speed limit and tailgating other vehicles creates an unnecessary safety risk for everyone on the road. I hope management addresses this behavior and reinforces safe driving practices with its drivers.
