I was stood up by my artist Miguel, mtsoultattoos on insta. He ignored my calls and the calls of the artist who was in the shop. I didn't get a response until 40 minutes after my appointment to let me know he wasn't coming. He promised to send my deposit back, then proceeded to ignore my messages and calls for days when I asked for it. Tried to be patient and chill but I dont have time to play week long games for my deposit. I had to contact the shop owner Julianna just to schedule a pick up for the deposit in person from the shop. She was wonderful and understanding, which is why this review is 2 stars instead of the zero Miguel deserves. He is childish and I will be letting everyone I know in the tattoo community not to go near him. I will update if I still don't get my deposit on the day I have planned. Cool shop, sketchy artist. Julianna is amazing! I got referred to her from a friend and I haven't been disappointed! We are currently working on correcting my forearm tattoo that is 5 years old from a different artist because my line work and coloring was horrendous, she explained that every person is different on how their skin takes ink and how different machines/speeds may work better for each individual. I really enjoyed the education and explanation of everything and happy to have found an artist that takes the time to notice what works for each individual, because everyone's skin is different and no one person heals the same. I gotta say, best tattoo shop experience in a long time. I went to overground tattoo for the first time to get a tattoo with my wife for our anniversary. I have many tattoos so I wasn't worried but it was my wife's first!! I must say that overground tattoo was very very friendly and not judgmental at all. I've been to many other shops and right off the back they were for some reason rude! Why not sure . Anyways Juliana the owner was great with getting us exactly what we needed. She set us up with her artist, first Maurice who was very nice and did a great job. After a few weeks we needed a touch up due to we chose finger tattoos which we all know can be difficult. With no hesitation Juliana got us back in with her other artist Adrian. Was really looking forward to getting a tattoo that meant a lot to me, but it didn't exactly come out the way that I wanted to. Let me rewind to my pre appointment experience: I bought a voucher from Living Social, and when I called, the lady was very nice on the phone, and got me into an appointment within two weeks, which is good, considering I had a 'coupon'. When I went in, the guy at the front desk was very antisocial and didn't really greet me, which was weird because the lady that I talked to was so nice. My tattoo artist Chris, however, was very nice which you don't get a lot of from tattoo artists. I bought the $45 dollars for a one hour session, but my tattoo was so simple that it only took about 10 minutes. I felt like it was a little rushed, and with 50 minutes left over, I felt like I wasted my money and he didn't ask if I wanted something else done to use up the time. The voucher also came with tattoo wax and it was never offered to me. Chris told me that if I had any issues with my tattoo, I could call to get it fixed... I noted that in my head. Even though it was a quick tattoo, it seemed like it looked perfect. As it healed, however, there were many imperfections as the lines on my cross weren't straight and some areas were lighter than others. Remembering that he said I could call to get it fixed, I called and the same lady answers the phone, however, when I told her I had an issue with my tattoo, it seems she was pretty annoyed. When I talked to Chris, he sounded pretty annoyed as well, and seemed a little too busy to schedule another appointment, as our schedules wouldn't match up, so I gave up. I'm just going to get it covered up because instead of being a tattoo that meant a lot to me, it's imperfect so I'm not really feeling it anymore. I'd much rather go somewhere else that'll actually take their time giving me a tattoo and use up the whole hour, or at least offer me something else to get my moneys worth, even if I bought it with a coupon. The only reason why I'm giving 3 stars is because everyone was nice (except for the receptionist when I walked it) and it was extremely clean. read more

I had work done by someone else. So I went to overground tattoo to get it fixed. Julianna did a great job working on it. She has a really light hand that I didn't even feel any pain at all. She is really clean. She plastic wrap everything even her tablet. It's amazing how clean she is. Her work is out standing. My tattoo looks way better than the picture that I showed her. She is fast but at the same time she is so social! I will definitely go back there and get more tattoos. And i will recommend this shop to anyone. A+ read more

I had an appt with Chris Sellars which he is the sh!t by the way!! I had my kids names put on my arms, a tribal piece on my chest and a touch up on something I wanted cleaned up. First of all, I've never received a tattoo from here. I was but I got canceled on last second by Ben . It was ridiculously hard arranging a time and day to meet to get my deposit back since I live 70 miles away, and he was difficult to reach at times or would only make himself available on a weekend when I can't travel to get my 20$ deposit. Anyways besides all the drama and unprofessionalism he displayed I am ONLY rating 4 stars because of Julianna. I was so thankful that she was very kind and understanding. Very professional and helpful in this stressful situation I was in. Let's just say, whatever field you work in, customer service and kindness means everything to your customers and goes a long ways . I was never planning on returning because of my experience with Ben, but Julianna made me feel reassured. If I ever did return to overground I'd book Julianna in a heartbeat. If she was busy id take a recommendation from her at her shop or even wait for weeks. I would like to rate 5 stars but i cant because one ove never gotten work done , only seen pictures , and i dont aprove of Bens attitude or customer service with his clients.
