Price gouging! Make sure you get quotes before they do any work. Had a cable snap on an overhead door, called them out to do the work. They came out said we need to pickup some parts for the job. They left came back and when complete they handed me a bill for over 3K. Scam outfit. Will never do business again the Over Priced Overhead Door Solutions. Stay far away! I do not post reviews but this horrible experience through this company deserves to warn people before they even think about using this company. If I would have known about the other reviews I definitely wouldn't have even called them. I have experienced the same type of treatment as the other complaints, this is how they do business. I have already consulted with a third party to pursue numerous formal complaints with all the correct outlets to make sure something is done to the fullest extent especially when there are laws in place to protect people from predatory businesses. Formal letter will be sent to them as well for deceit and theft of money charged. The ONLY reason I called this company was due to a personal rave review that they were the best do not use anyone else and this individual knows them personally and had full confidence in his referral. Wow is all I can say and my experience was incredibly the worst. I have already expressed my concern for the unprofessional and below grade referral numerous times to this person and will once again. I first called the referral, Rick, who happens to be the owner of the business. Off the start seemed like a nice guy and understood what was needed. Was told that someone would reach out to schedule an appointment to come out. Received a call from Zach who seemed ok as well. Zach came out to look at the job and stated he will speak to someone else in the company and get an estimate for two separate concerns I had discussed. Weeks later two guys come out to fix the initial problem. No estimate was ever received. No signed contract to approve the work was given. I received nothing at all from them. Then I get hit out of left field with a ridiculous invoice. I question the invoice of course for such a small job I was charged at least 50% more than a local company. IF A PROPER ESTIMATE OF SERVICES WAS PROVIDED I WOULD NEVER AGREED TO IT!!!!! They tried to give excuse after excuse without any valid point, none of which was properly and professionally communicated. It gets better, I have 9 security cameras on my property that records constantly. I have saved the footage when the workers arrived to the actual minute and when they exactly left. THEY LIED ABOUT HOW LONG THEY WERE THERE!!!! I am sending this footage with the formal complaints to each third party I have consulted with. They billed me for false time and think they are going to steal money from me. I come home on lunch and saw their work truck parked illegally in private condo spots behind my home which police live there and saw their vehicle. I left almost an hour and a half later and their work truck was still parked in the same illegal spot and sitting there trying to think I am stupid and bill me for this time, nope not going to accept lies and deceit. When questioned on this lie, received numerous different excuses and their story changed at least 4 times. The manager is a complete piece of work to say the least. He verbally abused my boyfriend over the phone in a horrible manner when he tried to speak to someone about this situation. The despicable attitude of the manager which I will post an update with their name. So everyone that got screwed from this place call them directly to voice your bad experience with the owner Rick!!! 847- 276-5683. Over flood their line I will post so they can see how disorganized and corrupt his company operates. Rick the owner in the end was a joke. He said his son was the person out on the job hahaha he is a dam straight up liar. I am not backing down and will pursue charges against them through these third parties to make sure they are held responsible for their corrupt ways and deceit. They steal money from people and think because I am a woman that I am stupid, no no no that will not be tolerated. This place deserves to be shut down and investigated for fraud. Businesses who operate like this are criminals. I have yet to get a call back with the numerous attempts to be given the proposal and estimate signed to approve the work. Communication about the time to work was good. The company came out and did the job. My frustration is I didn't get a price up front. It only took him about 15 to 20 minutes to fix the cable. He then said it would be $125 but had to call his boss to get a final price. They came back and told me $175 for a check, $150 if I made the check as cash and if I use a credit card it would be $175 plus 4% so $182. If they have a standard rate of $125 an hour which is what the worker basically said. I would be willing to pay for 30 minutes of time. I was expecting to pay $60 to $80 not $180. After my initial request for a service call, I was able to get a service visit quickly. Both the gentlemen assigned to my call were polite and professional. They were quickly able to assess my garage door issue (broken spring), and provided me with the quote prior to resuming repair. The repair price was competitive and reasonable. They were very thorough, and were able to answer other questions and concerns I had. I called Overhead Door Solution one day my garage door was not opening. I couldn't get my car out of the garage. I couldn't use the manual pull down to allow the door to operate freely. They sent a technician right away to my house. Replaced two door springs for a really decent price. While the technician was replacing the door springs he noticed the rails or tracks of the garage door were out of alignment. He said that may have been the cause of the garage door springs failing. He reattached them into the ceiling of my garage. I would definitly use them again in the future. read more

Our garage door failed when we were in a hurry (When doesn't that happen?) and our house is only 10 years old so we did not have any garage door service done previously. I called ODS early in the morning and someone answered and had me scheduled the same day. They came when they said they would - even calling when they were about 30 minutes away to confirm. The technician was professional, thorough, on time and the doors work perfectly again. What more could you ask for? The price was reasonable too. I had this company out to my home twice and both times they really did a great job, I had springs replaced on my garage door and the technician was very upfront and honest with me after talking to two other companies. A year later I had some issues with my garage opener after calling that morning I had a technician out by late afternoon and he had the issue fixed.
