Technicians arrived on time and got to work. They seem well experienced. Two areas for improvement is they did not do a very thorough job of cleaning up and left screws and various sundries on the floor of the garage. Other area of improvement is service after the install. It is reasonable to think adjustments might be required, however shouldn't take 3 phone calls to make that happen. Tech Zachary showed up on time, and was very professional and courteous. He quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it. He also did a 20 point inspection and lubricated necessary parts. We were revising our front with new garage door, pavers and landscaping. Overhead Door removed our 20+yo two-car garage door and replaced with a rusted version, new side rails, spring, etc. The installation was tidy and sanitary AND quick. And the price they charged was very reasonable. I was still using my old motor and screw rail so there was some noise and closing was a tad too hard. A few weeks later Overhead Door sent out Zachery and he fine-tuned the system. Zac was extremely polite, knowledgeable and was patient with my inane questions. He explained to me that my motor is at the end of it's life and the new belt replacement system will be silent. We will wait and see/ hear for that replacement. The new units, 4040L were so quiet operating, secure (code changes every time), safe (beam to detect and not close) and with an exterior emergency key pad. And we called Overhead and replaced our California home garage door too. ==================== Two Stars ========================= Nevertheless, it seems they are NOT as good in support and help afterward. I had a problem with the wall control buttons (not as sensitive and sometimes you have to pushed few times or stick inside) within an year and It costed $75. I thought that should be part of their warranty service. Then, I had some problems this afternoon on one of my garage door which won't close all the way down. I called them and Arthur answered the phone. I knew this should be something very simple to readjust or reset to make it working again. I tried to explain to him what happened and hoped he could give me few tips to try first before had him sent someone over. But he said it might take few hours to explain over the phone and kept pressuring to send someone over to check it out. Since I had an appointment came up, I told him that I would call him back when I return. Upon I returned home, I brought out the users manual and it took me ~5 min to figure out and adjust the "travel door up" and travel door down" settings on the opener. I called Art back and told him that I fixed the problem and not so happy of his unwillingness to help over the phone. I am sure he knows how to fix this kind of problem if he can just listen to my explanation more closely. He did not apologize. I just hope, they can be more sincerely listen to customer and help them with trivial issues or problems over the phone instead of always sending technician and costing them money. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. It is now July of 2019. I had these garage doors installed in March of 2018. I gave JR examples of what Kaiser Garage Doors had and I made it very clear to Jr of what I wanted. I wanted a solid dark rustic look. JR convinced me that he could do that and that his sealing process was better. The doors show up and they were not even close to what I wanted. They were too light, almost a yellow rust in many places. JR convinced me to give it time, and after the monsoons, they would darken up. Instead, the sealant stared flaking. In June 2018, I told JR to replace them. After endless attempts to find out where they were in the process, they finally had me come down in October 2018 to look at some panels they were working on. They were exactly like the panels we had and I told them I would not accept those. In early 2019, after I stayed on them, they had me come look at some more panels...exactly the same. I told them that I felt like they were using me as an experiment in them getting into the rustic garage door business. JR then brought me "painted" panel samples. I don't want painted garage doors!!! I then contacted their corporate office and they told me that I must work with JR in the Tucson store and that there was nothing they could do for me. I have saved all my back and forth emails with JR. I am done with Overhead Doors. Poor customer service and don't deliver on their promise. You can see the poor quality in the pictures. I will spend my own money to have this fixed, and I will not work with JR from Overhead Door ever again. read more
