When my old drunk of a roommate bent my garage door, I went looking to replace it. I found what I thought was a good company at Overhead Door. They are a local company and I figured that I would get good service. The owner came out looked at the door and gave me a deal of $1,200 to totally replace the door. The deal was that parts from my old door would go to a 3rd party and I would get a discount for it.I had to come up with over half of the money saved up and they agreed to take 50% and installments. THAT WAS 45 DAYS AGO. First, they ordered the wrong door. I had to wait a week, Next, they told me that the 3rd party could not schedule their end of the repair - ANOTHER WEEK. Then yesterday they call me and tell me that the 3rd party AGAIN has to postpone because of an "Emergency trip to Florida". We had Overhead door come out to change the seals around our two doors. Our house was built in the 80's so it was a bit more of a job than it seems it should be. This is my second and last posting. I contacted Overhead Door Company and setup an appointment to have the bottom seal on my door replaced. The tech, Zach, called to tell me he was enroute, and when here introduced himself. He explained exactly what he was going to do and gave me an estimated time. Upon completion we tested the door and everything worked fine. Zach then greased the hinges, rails and belt. Unfortunately, I needed to call Zach back because the top roller had jumped the rail. This is our third (no fourth!) garage door company, and I don't need to look any further. The first company sold us a 15-year-old motor as "brand new." When it died, leaving us locked out of our house, the next company said it was closing for the night and couldn't help us. The third company just couldn't find time inside of a week to fit us in. Came out on a Saturday to rescue my garage door from certain doom! The chain fell off and almost hit my car the day before. Luckily, they installed a new Overhead garage door opener with a smooth and quiet belt drive in less than an hour for not too much money. The only reason they didn't get a five from me is they forgot to install the wireless keypad transmitter on the exterior that day (which I definitely needed as there's only one way in and out of this garage) but came back out pretty quickly to get it done for an additional small fee. They've helped me a couple times in the past few years and, what can I say, unless something changes I'll never contact another company for help. the overhead door company fixed my mom's garage door when the cables broke. I don't live in town and my mom is elderly and does not speak english. I originally called precision to get an estimate, based on their google reviews. Never again trusting google reviews. The guy got there, was courteous, but saw two cars inside and assumed my mom was desperate, so he wanted to charge her 800 bucks to change the cables and springs. My mom obviously said no thanks, then she called the overhead door company of tucson and got a rough estimate, the owner answered the phone and called my mom back and sent an employee that spoke spanish to make the repairs and explain everything to my mom. I am grateful for you honesty and fair business practices. What precision does not realize is that between my mom and myself, we own 4 houses in Tucson/Sahuarita area, guess who we are calling for all garage maintenance and repairs from now on?
