They couldn't figure out the source of a shower leak for my dad's place. First they sealed some areas the leak "may have been coming from" without confirming or testing afterwards. Then they made a blanket assumption as to the reason of the leak, which included removing all the bathroom floor tiles - again without a camera inspection or any sort of typical analysis. Finally they stopped returning phone calls and left him in a lurch. He's been using them for years - so it was an established relationship, and they ghosted their elderly client with an indoor water leak. Find someone responsible. read more

I have a shower valve that hasn't been working for years! I decided it's time to fix it. I've worked with Overland Plumbing for many things and have never had a bad experience. I called them and they said someone was in my area today and could be over between 2-4PM. Great! My buddy Patrick came just as chipper as can be. He took a look at it and diagnosed that it had been put in wrong. 5 minutes later it was fixed! I couldn't believe it. Only Patrick can do that. He's so talented and needs a raise! This review is both long (sorry) and long overdue--more than a year, as life and other projects kept intruding. But we have been so impressed and so pleased with Overland Plumbing's work that they have constantly come to mind; and I was determined not to let another day pass before giving them a shout out. We had discovered, quite by accident, that the previous owners had done a dangerous DIY to connect the pool heater to the gas line; and it was seriously leaking gas. So our project with Overland was to run a new gas line from the source to the lap pool heater--no easy task, as it would (we ultimately learned from Overland) require tunneling out an 18-inch or so high space within which the plumber would crawl to run a line from the source at one side of the house across to the other and over to the pool equipment. But the challenge had met its match in Overland. We had researched a short list of possible contractors and, luckily began with Overland. The company sent Hugo, who carefully assessed the situation to determine feasibility, then thoroughly explained all the 'whys and wherefores' of the job itself, the process, cost, timeline, permit pulling--everything we'd need to make a decision. This was in stark contrast with the other companies whom we interviewed, none of which seemed to know how to even approach the job--though they all pressed me for a sale. At that point, it was a no-brainer to choose Overland; and over each of the four days comprising the project, Hugo, the foreman, would give me an overview of what would be accomplished that day and a review at the end of the day with a look forward to the next day's work. Throughout, they were careful with my property, taking care in and around the back and side garden areas adjacent to their work. The job was completed on schedule and, though expensive, was at a very reasonable cost (imagine your having to be the one working in a cramped crawlspace under the house for four days!!!)--we only had a little wait at the end for the city to come out for final inspection. Because of Hugo, his assistant and Overland, we can enjoy all the lap swimming we want! Save yourself from the stress and disappointment. 1 Star only for the front desk lady who was patient and kind. I am the type that gives chances, but oh man, I placed my trust in the wrong hands. How many chances were given - all regrets. I gave the 1st technician food for lunch and treated him kindly, but I did not get the work I expected. I should have gone with another company, but I felt terrible that the technician just had a baby Overcharged Promised one toilet brand but was given a cheap and faulty alternative. But I checked the price online and was charged over $100 for the same exact toilet and parts. Let alone additional payment for service. Two jobs had to be redone -1st the original technician came back -The 2nd time, another technician came to inspect and promised to return. Was a no-show for the appointment. -3rd time replaced the entire toilet I was trying to take a picture/video of the toilet they initially gave, and the guy was like cleaning it up and adjusting it Overcharge for horrible quality. We had to fake being nice and suck up to them to prevent matters from worsening. It's one of the most uncomfortable and regrettable services I have ever gotten done in my home. read more

I was informed that they had a big job and could no longer do mine. Our negotiated price, including my $280 was now "null and void." The called on a Saturday and was able to get someone out by Monday morning. I needed to rearrange their scheduled arrival time and they accommodated by shifting the arrival window. They gave me a price quote that was less than HALF of an other quote that I received from another plumbing company. They also took care of a kitchen sink noise problem and a minor toilet problem in another bathroom. Just the fact that all of those fixes still came out to less than half of another company's estimate makes me feel like it was all worth it. read more

Yesterday 04/14/2021 I had overland plumbing out to fix my kitchen faucet PATRICK arrived on time and wearing his mask checked out the problem I had a 28 year old Grohe faucet it needed to be replaced Patrick said he would go out and pick one up he asked me what type and color and style and he would be back to install it. Had a Tankless water heater stop working late Sunday night. Opened the panel to see water leaking inside of it and getting all over the electrical. Called Overland and they had a tech out the next morning. Michael showed, accurately assessed the situation, and I opted to replace the unit rather than rebuild it (Michael could have rebuilt it, but I chose not to). He did an excellent job, super clean, all of the piping was neat and organized, and cleaned up all of the mess before leaving. I also had a new faucet for our downstairs bathroom that I was "eventually" going to install and he did the swap in a very short amount of time. I could not be happier with the services of this company. They were recommended to me by a friend. My wife and I were in a pinch and they came through big time! We were leaving our rental home and the landlords were inspecting the house the next day. When I was moving the fridge out to the rental moving truck, I forgot to disconnect the water pipe, so I ended breaking the copper valve thus creating a leak. They were able to make an appointment the very next day first thing in the morning. We were staying with family as we didn't have anything else in the house, so we were coming from about an hour away. Then traffic hit and we were over two hours late! I called the company right away and they said, no problem. The plumber waited in 100-degree weather right outside the house until we got there. He was so professional, well dressed, and he smelled nice. We felt very safe by the PPE he wore for COVID Safety: maks, gloves, booties for his shoes, and social distancing. I was concerned that the landlords would show up, but our plumber was very efficient. He fixed it in such a way that it looked like nothing ever happened and we were able to get our full rental deposit back. Could not be happier with their services. Too bad we don't live close enough to use them again, otherwise we would. And the price was right, too. read more

Based on my experience with them to do two small jobs, cannot recommend Overland Plumbing: 1. Showed up on the scheduled date, but late. 2. Did not present business card at any time. 3. Put no slip-on covers over dirty boots. 4. No Senior Discount or First Time Customer Discount. (The guy actually laughed when I asked if they offered a senior citizen discount. Not funny.) 5. Needed material not on truck - had to run off and buy. 6. But the worst part was the upselling. On both of my jobs the guy tried to upsell me on extra work and supplies that had nothing directly to do with the jobs I hired them for. Really hard sell. I gave in on one (to the tune of an extra $120) but resisted the other. Found out later neither was necessary. My advice? Keep looking. read more

The Superman of plumbing Sky came to my recuse yesterday! He arrived ready to work and tackle the job of removing a dangerous out dated and kinked gas line hidden behind my oven. With the aid of an assistant, Sky installed a new gas line and shut of valve and afterwards was able to install by brand new oven. I'm very appreciative of his experience and expertise.
