Occasionally find the women's bathroom low on restock in the pm but the morning shift is always good. Equipment, Weights and cables are contained appropriately, I see staff cleaning and clearing equipment every time I'm here. Haven't personally experienced any interaction issues internally or externally at this location. Of course the free summer high school program will bring in more groups that might be learning gym etiquette but I just try to come earlier. read more

I want to be clear that the staff members I spoke with were nice, but the way this billing situation was handled feels completely unethical. I canceled our gym membership in December 2024 because of a health diagnosis. In July 2025, I noticed I was still being charged a monthly membership fee. I called, left a message, and when I received a call back, I explained the situation and was reassured that I would be refunded. Now it is May 2026, and I found out I had continued to be charged the entire time, along with an additional $50 membership fee. These charges also caused overdraft fees, which made the situation even worse. I went into the gym today, explained everything again, and even shared the voicemail showing that I had already addressed this months ago. Instead of refunding me from the original cancellation date in December 2024, they are only offering to refund me from the July phone conversation forward. The staff may be kind, but the ethics behind this are seriously concerning. It is not my fault there was internal miscommunication, and I should not have continued to be charged after canceling, especially for medical reasons. I am now waiting to see if the refund is actually processed. read more

Place for local folks, Staff is alert and attentive. Mid tier machines, some other PF locations newer, some older machines. This place has lounge water massage machines, which don't fully recline, only place I have seem with this version. Other places have the flat bed versions in a room. This place feels the safest with no homeless in the bathrooms, only the occasional petition hecklers at the front entrance. read more

I was completely humiliated at the 12831 Towne Center Dr Cerritos, CA 90703 United States Planet Fitness on July 4th around midnight. I was working out quietly and respectfully in the corner--shirt slightly above my stomach during leg press--and was suddenly singled out and shamed by staff, while two men loudly slamming weights were completely ignored. When I brought it up and asked if the Lunk Alarm would be used (as it's supposed to be), I was mocked, laughed at, and made to feel like an outsider. It was prejudiced and targeted. The staff showed zero professionalism or basic human respect. I paid to cancel my membership on the spot because I've never felt so bullied in a gym. I came from Texas seeking a welcoming and diverse place to train, not trauma. This was harassment, plain and simple. Do better, Planet Fitness. This Planet Fitness location is always clean and I've never had to wait for a machine. With that being said, I also haven't been there during peak hours, so I can't say how packed it might get. The workers are friendly enough and always greet me when I walk into the gym. There are plenty of machines as well as weights - I've never been there when people had to wait for a machine or the weights, but again - I only go to this location when I'm on break and can go work out earlier in the day. If you are a Black Card member, they also have a small spa section with chair massages, hydromassages, tanning booth and a redlight therapy machine (I think?). Overall, a nice enough gym to go to when you want the basic machines/weights without too much frill. read more

I like the gym but the main office is horrible wount let you make a payment till its past due. I wanted to make my payment but wouldn't let till make it till it was past due. How is that fair? Always clean! the staff here work hard and are always moving around to make sure the machines and equipment are in place, as well as the cleaning sprays are filled and the paper towel is stocked. I also appreciate that the locker and restrooms/showers are tidy. Because I end up coming here during peak times after work, sometimes it's hard to get a smith machine as there are only 4, however it'll free up eventually. It's funny because you'll see the trend of lessened crowds during the week with Monday being very "motivating" and busy and then the crowd trickles down by Friday -Sunday. Beware, there's a teen program for the summer where kids are allowed to workout free so you'll see some young newbies, some of them without gym etiquette in attendance. Overall, this PF meets all of your basic needs and the staff although younger are friendly, helpful, and professional! read more

Everytime i go- there isnt anyone one working front desk i go between 10am to 12am to check in .door are open but no employees. i have stood there for over 20 min multiple times and checked in myself... also showers are always gross and no water pressure. read more

So, I grew up in this town for 13 years and don't remember ever knowing about PFs in the vicinity. I actually started the membership in North County in 2020, and have seen a couple out-of-state. The atmosphere is almost always the same--clean, welcoming, and relatively well-maintained. However, I don't see a 360, which is my favorite part of the facility, aside from the massage chairs. This location has a decent layout though; it's like a huge rectangle, so it doesn't feel cramped. I love the massage chairs and need to start using some of the other features the Black Card offers (minus the tanning beds). read more

The overnight manager marquees is horrible I don't know why he's even a manager he has absolutely no customer service. He tried kicking me out and threaten to call security, all because I didn't know about the guest policy. Manager Ricardo canceled my membership without my consent when I could've just went to a different planet fitness and when I asked him why he canceled it he couldn't even give an answer just a bunch of stuttering. I used to love this place but ever since the gym got new equipment, management doesn't care about the tidiness of the establishment. There's random dumbbells EVERYWHERE on the floor or hidden in corners. Cable attachments EVERYWHERE on the floor! Gym goers should be putting their used equipment away but they don't , you'd think staff would but they don't either. One machine will have 30 weight plates while 2 smith machines have only one plate of each weight, why not have staff evenly organize the equipment and plates consistently? Even when there's shift changes and the new shift crew comes in, they don't bother cleaning it. The staff is just there for decoration, it's like no one is running the place!!! I love a good workout in the morning but walking into a messy gym kills the whole mood. I would recommend you staying away from this location! read more

I have been coming here since April of 2018. Overall, it is a good gym for the price. I was a member of LA Fitness in Cerritos for about 10 years and although that gym offered more it cost nearly 3 times the amount I am paying monthly for a basic Planet Fitness membership. My first impression of this place was not a good one. My wife and I came in to sign up and basically a guy with really long hair just handed us some tablets to sign up online...really nothing was explained to us nor were we given an introduction to where things are or how things work. The only information I was given was based on questions I asked him. In the 8 months since I have been coming here I see new members being shown around the place which we never got. The place is small...I remember it years ago as an Old Navy that I used to shop at. There is plenty of parking out front. When you walk in and usually when you leave an employee will greet you or say goodbye to you. All of the employees that I have had contact with since that initial sign up have been friendly and hard-working and I have been especially impressed with Niko. The place is clean and there are typically employees circulating while cleaning and restacking weights. Members do a good job of wiping down machinery after each use using the cleaning stations located around the gym containing paper towels and cleaner. They have plenty of stationary bikes and treadmills but don't have enough (only 3) stair climbers. In terms of weights they have the basics, not all the ones that LA Fitness has in addition to not having a basketball court, racquetball court, a pool, and rooms for spin and dance classes but again with the much lower price they are providing us with enough of what is needed. read more

Nice overall gym, always clean and never too crowded. Been coming here for quick workouts when I have some time to get to the gym and have never had a problem. One thing I appreciate is that they have all these little cleaning stations with some pink fluid for you to squirt on paper towels to help clean your machine prior and after working out. I like the attention to cleanliness! A couple of things I do wish they could do is define the bathrooms a touch better since I have nearly walked into the girls bathroom twice now. I think it is the sign that is in the front that is written like on metal to metal so it is not so well defined, idk maybe it's just me not paying attention but I had to make an effort to watch out for that. Another small thing is as a black card member you can only use the massage chairs and hydro massage chairs for 5 minutes. I really think it should be at least 10 since 5 min is barely enough time to feel anything and get loose. Overall I like it, parking is never a problem and the people there are very nice. read more

Wanted to get healthy for the New year (of course) so my girlfriend and I went to check out a few gyms. This Planet Fitness was the most welcoming, As soon as we walked in we were greeted and welcomed, offered a toured and walked around. After the tour we were seated and explained the different plans and pricing options, and he explained how we sign up over our phones so there's no pressure, when ever we are ready and comfortable sign up and come on in. So we went home and discussed it and that's exactly what we did. We've been going to planet fitness Cerritos for about a week now and over all we love it! All the machines have been working, it's not too over crowded even though it's the new year & we expected it to be packed. The facility is very clean! Everyone just focuses on their work out and it's just a chill vibe! We go for an hour after work everyday and we're feeling good! My girlfriend loves the massage chairs but I haven't tried them but she says those are great too! All the employees there are awesome & we love it! 5 stars FOR SURE! read more

My first time at this location. Walked in around 3pm and it was quiet, which I was very pleased about! The employees were nice and one of the girls even complimented my bag - so sweet. I got a good work out done. This gym made it easy for me to want to work out because it is so clean and tidy. Yet again I have to update... And go lower... Black mold cracked on the curtains... Black mold on the floor.. Black mold on the ceilings.. Mold and dust covering the walls.. Stall doors and walls have dried spit and other liquids on them... Floors are covered in dirty swipes and spits and other "stuff".. Attempted to alert staff and was told... That's all issues of another team.. And they gave me a very "that's not my problem" attitude... This round of staff has absolutely sucked... They do nothing... They hold no responsibility to anything... And are far more concerned in socializing and taking breaks.. Especially on the weekend. I asked "isnt the curtain at least your responsibility?" and I was told... Well, I wasn't here all week so I don't know, but I'll deff look into that... As he continues to socialize, goof off, and whisper behind the counter with the other staff member... And blow me off.. Then went to lunch. I know this is only a $10 gym... Maybe $23.99 gym... But.. Come on... Who is in charge here?? Because its always a pass the buck situation... And nothing ever happens to fix any issue.. This place keeps getting worse and worse... In my opinion, worst customer service on the planet. Staff here is very inconsistent with their policies. I see other members here have bags in previous days visited. I understand bags can't be on the floor but not all planet fitness enforce that. It is very unfair to members to carry their belongings that needs to be with them. Etc. hydro flask, equipment bands, phones, and wallets. They are very unprofessional. If you enforce at one franchise you must do it all locations. Nevertheless you can't enforce it one day and not another. Very disappointed and I hope they do better. read more

Poor customer service and the gym is basic nothing compared to Chuze. Their contract is hard to get out of without paying a 59 dollar fee. So I assigned up online a week ago and have not had the chance to use the facility and the first day I used it, I realized it was not for me. Not only did I have to either pay for certify mail or go in person which is 20 mins from the gym I used I would still have to pay the cancellation fee. Agh my advise to you is if you are satisfied with poor customer service and a basic gym then it's for you. read more

Where do I begin? I forgot my eye protection in the car and when I asked for a pair of disposables she told me they charge for them. I was taken aback because My home gym and 3 others in my area do not charge. Most likely because it's the law to provide eye ware- https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6171306/ -so that was number 1. Then she said they are a no cash gym so my dollar wasn't good and she asked for a debit card. Just give me a break. I was so irritated but I walked back out to my car got my eyewear. Then she asked if I had already been there today because my card would not allow me to tan. So she use their company card to let me tan but I couldn't go for my normal nine minutes she said the computer would only let her give me eight minutes. At this point I didn't care I just wanted to tan and work out. There's no trash cans in the tanning room so want to use a paper towel you have to leave and find somewhere to dispose of it. Next I tried to use the 30 minute circuit and there was somebody monitoring it for a little while and then he turned around and went to the front to stand with the other three employees we were just standing there and doing nothing. Well once he left people started walking into the circuit and using machines randomly so those of us who were actually doing the circuit properly couldn't do it. One guy sat on a machine playing on his cell phone for the length of three lights! The gym is a little bit dirty and that's always a turn off, it stopped being a turn off and turned into an irritant when I kept watching all of those kids hanging out behind the front counter when there was plenty of cleaning and vacuuming and picking up that needed to be done. I just came here because it was close to where I had my afternoon meeting.. I will never come here again. read more

Disappointment today- brought my daughter in to work out with me , Drive all the way from Long Beach to get our fitness in ( the reason I have the black card is because of the perk that you can bring a guest every time) and the manager insisted on an ID from my daughter. We were denied the opportunity to work out because she had not brought anything with her. Note that I have had memberships and worked out at four different planet fitness and nobody has ever asked for an ID for my guest. Planet Fitness - turned way with the black card but life goes on after disappoinment - Trainers Near Me - Cerritos, California

Was a member here for three years, until I caught a staph infection. I really didn't pay attention to how infrequently they clean until I caught this infection. The likeliness of this occurrence could be driven down if they enforced their own rules like not allowing people to have their bare sweaty skin touch the equipment because they're wearing outfits that aren't allowed. It'd be nice to use the yoga mats without finding pubic hair on them. Of all the staff members, there's only one that I ever see cleaning equipment, putting weights away and greeting clients with a smile. All the others try to ignore your existence, play with their phones, taking orders for each other for food and drinks and work our relationship issues (comedy). Realized why the push for people to clean the equipment after each use, because the employees won't be, other than the one guy staff member. Had a few interactions with managers and I see why the staff ignores you. The managers (ruby) give you this feeling that you're a pain in their existence. Hopefully this review pushes them to vacuum more often to minimize the pubic hair or reduce the staph infections. read more
