Jasmine rice, cucumber salad , and spicy green papaya salad

Hidden gems! It's disguised!! It's actually a market that has a number of different things. From your regular household items like washing powder, cigarettes, and even some authentic Asian goods/groceries like different ramens, sauces and pastes. What many wouldn't know unless told or stumbling into it. Is there's a little restaurant in the back , that serves some of the best Laos/Thai foods In Dallas. I've been a regular at this market / restaurant for over a decade. And although I've tried a few things there , my favorite is the medium spicy green papaya salad with extra egg plants , the medium spicy cucumber salad , jasmine rice and of course the beef salad( beef Larb cooked ). If you're looking for some authentic Laos food, this is going to be your place . They're very friendly and welcoming. Irena is usually who makes my food , only I haven't seen her the last couple of times I've gone . Nevertheless, my food always still comes out really tasty no matter who prepares it.

Small hole in the wall shop with lovely employees. They are always very kind and make sure everything is to your liking. House made sausages are packed with flavor and pair great with the rice! The egg rolls are the best i've ever had, flavorful and crispy. Definitely recommend 10/10

We're from Colorado and this is our first time in Dallas, wanted to try some Authentic Laotian Food so again per YELP Oversea was on my bookmark. Oversea compared to Nahlin Market it's night and day! We've gotten no service at Nahlin Market whatsoever but when we came to Oversea they're very friendly and helpful. The food was spectacular! I spent about $200, this means that they had exactly everything that I was looking for. When I'm in town again if the positive service continues I'll return to continue and support Oversea Market!!

Their…read morefood selection was on point but more importantly every employee I came across was super helpful. They provided useful tips for staying in town, what to see/where to go, and a few people even chimed in on where to avoid. I'm usually better at getting names so shame on me for that, but particularly helpful were the deli lady and the Starbucks girls, all of whom were working the morning of 12/26 at 10 am (hopefully that helps their bosses recognize them) The prices seemed good but admittedly I was in vacation mode (where money doesn't matter until you come home) and the service was top notch, but do yourself a favor and stay out of the men's room!! There were some shady dealings going down in the men's room

To be clear, the customer service staff is the worst part of this location…read more During the daytime, there are two Black ladies (one named Nia, and unfortunately I didn't catch the other's name), and in the evening there is a Black guy with braids. All three consistently have terrible attitudes. They either seem to hate their jobs, dislike dealing with customers, or both. I dread coming here knowing there's a good chance I'll have to interact with one of them, but unfortunately it's often unavoidable. In a time when good jobs can be difficult to find, you would think employees would put more effort into providing basic customer service. For the record, I am Black myself, so let's not turn this into a race issue. I only mentioned race because I don't know all of their names and wanted to identify the specific employees I'm referring to, not anyone else who may work there. These employees are consistently unpleasant and would probably be better suited for positions that involve less direct customer interaction, such as produce, stocking, or the meat department. Their attitudes make what should be a simple shopping trip far more frustrating than it needs to be.

I picked up fresh lobster tail for a reasonable price and was very impressed when the deli man asked if I wanted it on ice! Of course since I live a little ways out. This is an elevated grocery store with so much unique finds you won't see at any other grocery store (quail egg's & fresh octopus!) Another plus I love (and the reason I'll frequent more often) is their $1 roses! I love fresh flowers at home so I'll be returning to make my own bouquet. Plus the customer service is great too! So many staff happy and willing to help.

Casey who owns Lone Star knows his craft and does it well. And at a fare price too. I have had other companies try to sharpen my Chef knives, but no one does it so professionally like Casey. And just in time for the Holiday cooking!!! Casey has sharpened my knives for 10 years now. I have seen him do miracle things to knives that have lost the tip or their edge. Swing by Lover's Central Market and have Lone Star sharpen your knives while you do some weekend grocery shopping. Tell Casey, Carmen sent you! oxo

I stopped in to grab a few bunches so I could build my partner a custom bouquet at home -- roses, winter peonies, and lilies that were all fresh, full, and priced better than anywhere else around here. The customer service at this location is phenomenal. The lady at the register saw the flowers and asked what I was making. When I told her I was building a bouquet myself for my partner, she lit up and said, "That's how you do it." Little moments like that just make the experience feel personal. Trader Joe's employees always bring good energy, and it shows. I took everything home, trimmed the stems, mixed the colors, and built the bouquet with my own hands. The roses brought the romance, the winter peonies added that soft winter elegance, and the lilies tied the whole thing together like a final touch only she would notice. While I was there I also grabbed steaks to cook her dinner later that night. Between the flowers and the meal, Trader Joe's basically gave me everything I needed to make the whole evening special without running all over town. When I handed her the bouquet and then served dinner, the look on her face made the effort worth it. Trader Joe's helped me turn a simple idea into a real moment -- thoughtful, genuine, and meaningful. Five stars for fresh florals, quality steaks, and customer service that actually makes you feel seen. This is why our local store stays our favorite.
