Very first one to stop by for dinner. Got to seat anywhere we wanted. I wanted to order Coze e Vongole but ended up getting something else. The complimentary warm ciabatta was brought over, drink order taken. Ended up getting Pasta Bolognese and my hot date... Penne Alla Pesto. Mine was bit salty but still delicious. Meaty, not sweet, not acidic, flavorful. Generous serving for $29. Pesto was $28. Rich but not salty at all. We should have gotten an appetizer and split the main meal. During our meal, our server and also the manager stopped by to check on us. Tempting offer of stuffed cannoli was declined because we were so full. First visit was for happy hour Friday night. We decided to sit at the bar and met Dani the bartender. With her help we selected two appetizers. Calamari (which included deep fried zucchini), and burrata. The appetizers were plentiful and tasty, served with some fresh bread and dipping oil. We purchased a bottle of Italian wine, which was also excellent. The ambience was very nice. This is an upscale restaurant, including booths tables and the bar. We met the manager Bo and chatted with him a little bit. All in all it was a very nice first visit and we will be returning next week with some friends for dinner. read more

Dinner was good, but not as good as it's been in previous times. Still delicious but not out of this world like before. The service is good but lacked on water refills, I think the restaurant should help and give bigger cups, it's 3 sips and it's gone, so hard to stay on top of it. Went here for a date night with my wife, with a 6:00 PM reservation on a Saturday night. Was a little loud, but that's the price you pay for 6 o'clock on a Saturday. I got the fettuccine alfredo, which i've had here before, and wife got the ravioli di spanici. The fettuccine is PHENOMENAL, the alfredo itself is top-tier. Wife loved her ravioli too, specifically the calabrian butter sauce, which was delicious. Finished with the Palisade Peach Cheesecake, and oh my god. I've never been a fan of cheesecake in general, but this was insanely good, like one of the best desserts i've ever had. Eat here if you want good italian in the south metro. read more

Ovest via was recommended by my daughter so we thought we'd give it a try. Our server, Makenzie, was very professional and knowledgeable about the menu and made excellent recommendations. We started with the arancini which was amazing. It had tender short rib pieces on top of each ball and a sauce that I would have loved to have a bowl of. The homemade foccacia was light and perfect to soak up the olive oil. I had the pasta bolognese and hubby had chicken marsala. Both were delicious and we could only eat half because of the large portion size. Everything is made from scratch in their kitchen and they also have gluten free options. The owner, Pam, was very attentive with us and made us feel right at home. She told us how the chef had trained with a Sicilian chef and that she also owns West Main Taproom next door. The entire staff was constantly busy - I never saw any of them standing around. The service was excellent. They have happy hour Tuesday-Friday from 4-5:30 and I'm looking forward to coming back for that - and the desserts! Tip: make a reservation - they do fill up. Pedro was the star of the night at Ovest Via. He helped us celebrate a special occasion with great attention to detail. 5 stars. I had gnocchi with pesto sauce, burrata, and tried both the peach cheesecake and chocolate mousse. It was good, but nothing spectacular. Portions were enormous. 3 stars. The restaurant itself is clean and well designed. The distance of the restrooms from the restaurant disrupted the overall dining experience. Aura greeted us and boy does she do an awesome job. Her knowledge of their offerings and ability to share that information is tremendous. The fact that they have a scratch kitchen means you are going to have nothing but FRESH and DELICIOUS Food. The atmosphere is nothing but first class. Aura shared and explained the entire menu. I came in wanting one thing but when she was finished I had changed my mind. My wife selected Fettuccine Alfredo and I selected Ravioli Del Momento which for tonight was Lobster. We arrived for our reservation, trying to determine what part of the parking lot was OK to park. There were no signs indicating parking was for one business so we decided to park on the other side of the building. The restaurant was not that busy, and the manager (?) stopped by to recommend a wine, asking us if it was our first time. We decided on the Jordan, and he brought out the bottle, pouring our glasses. Unfortunately, no one came back to pour the rest of the wine. We ordered the Tomato Salad and Coze e Vongole. I ordered the Fusilli con Salsiccia. They brought out some delicious bread with Balsamic Vinegar and Olive Oil. They brought out our entrées without checking on the condition of our appetizers. We were almost done and they had to remove those plates before placing the entrées. We poured the rest of the wine and ate dinner. I ordered the sorbet, starting with the raspberry-strawberry and told the server surprise me on the other. Unfortunately, I did not get sorbet but a Gelato. I know, I was not specific but I thought I would at least get sorbet. By the end of the evening, the restaurant was a lively and bustling. read more

We were going to a show in Parker on Thursday night, so I did a search on Yelp for restaurants in Parker & Ovest Via was highly recommended! So we gave it a try & once again, Yelp did not disappoint! We made a reservation for 5:30 & lucky we did, cause the place filled up by 6-6:30....On a Thursday night no less!!! We had a very attentive waitress named Lexi, and she was great! Refills were never an issue & plates were cleared ASAP. Very attentive! We started off with some homemade bread & Olive Oil & Vinegar. Then for apps we got the Fried Calamari & the Bruscetta. Both were EXCELLENT! The calamari was cooked to perfection, and that can be very tricky to do right. Too much & it becomes rubbery & undercooked....well...you know the story. The Bruscetta was excellent! 4 large pieces of toast topped with shredded Brussels Sprouts, Buffalo Mozzarella, very thin Red Pepper strips & some AWESOME Balsamic Vinegar. It really was excellent! For our main courses, I selected the Chicken Parm with Alla Vodka sauce. I know it's a common dish, but with Alla Vodka sauce, no way! The rigatoni was cooked Al Dente, actually all pasta dishes were finished Al Dente, which was really impressive. The chicken was cooked perfectly & the Alla Vodka sauce was really delicate & was great as the sauce on the Chicken Parm. The wife had the Short Rib Bolognese over pasta, another winner(and it made a great lunch the next day too!) You can really tell that they cooked the Short Ribs for a loooong time, the menu says 8 hours, and I don't doubt it! The 2 other people in our party got the Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken & the Pesto Penne, all pasta was cooked Al Dente & the Alfredo & Pesto were both great sauces! We all had 4 take home boxes, but we had to try a desert, so we decided on the Vanilla Gelato, very simple & we were really stuffed from dinner. The bottle of Red Wine the 2 girls split wasn't marked up at all & I had the Godfather drink. I'm not a drinker at all, but was really in the mood to try something besides water, and I really made the right choice! I was asked by one of the women in our party if I would come here again, and I definitely would, actually everyone agreed that they would! It's on the expensive side, but like I always say, as long as the food is great, I don't mind paying for it, plus the food provided lunch the next day, so it was well worth it! We followed the chef here from Westmain Taproom because he makes the best bolognese hands down! I have searched for one similar everywhere I go and where I live (Albuquerque) but it doesn't exist. We have to come to Denver for the world's best! Everything is made in house from the pasta to the sauces to the desserts and the food is amazing! The atmosphere is casual and quiet but the food and service are upscale. The prices for main courses are around $25-$45 and in my opinion worth every cent! For dessert we had the pistacchio gelato which was also out of this world. I will be back but with a dilemma... do I try the other dishes which have to be amazing given the chef's talent, or do I get the best bolognese? read more

This was my first time here on a Friday evening. Love that they have valet as the parking on the front side of the Parker Hotel is crap. I arrived at 7 and couldn't believe it wasn't full. There were 3 other people at the bar when I arrived and the restaurant wasn't full. That was a surprise. I have to wonder if people even know about this restaurant. Service at the bar was great. I had the braised short rib with saffron risotto. Top notch! I also looked at what other people were having as they came in to the bar and everything looks great. I'm a great cook and a total foodie and Parker is a total food sea of mediocrity. Not only is this place terrific, I'd wager to say it is the best restaurant in town. Had a lovely dinner at Ovest Via, been wanting to try for some time and finally made it out. It's really classy inside with booths or tables. Our waitress was very nice and told us how they make everything fresh. We started off with the Chocolate Martini and the lemon drop martini -both very good. We got the special app of grilled peach and prosciutto bruschetta. It was a bit messy and I wish the peaches had more of a char but overall good. Next we got the Caesar which was just ok. It was kind of served off like mini wedges and toast points- not my fav Caesar I've had but ok. My son got the spaghetti and meatball and was very good and good size for kiddos. I got the chicken parm with vodka sauce and was very good. The chicken was a little tough but not terrible. The vodka sauce had a great flavor. My guest got the lasagna and didn't love but it was traditional with bechamel vs ricotta so it was a bit messy but I thought it was good. We didn't get dessert as we were stuffed. So many things! After sitting for 15 minutes, they finally came and took our order for drinks. We ordered a bottle of wine. After another 15 minutes, we flagged down the manager and said we've been waiting for our wine. Shortly our waitress came and said they were backed up at the bar. Mind you there were only about six tables in the whole restaurant. The wine finally came. However, there is no bucket to put it in. They just left the bottle of Chardonnay sitting on the table after pouring our glasses. Order dinner, waited at least 20 minutes for that. When we asked what was taking so long they said it was the short ribs. the short ribs are touted on the menu as an 18 hour braise. Why on earth would that delay our order if they truly have been braising for 18 hours. The other item we ordered was the pasta AMATRIACINA., the eggplant was mush, the noodles were way overcooked. Reminiscent of what you would've gotten out of a can. The order of short ribs was tender and could've been flavorful, but we're so salty that you could hardly eat them. The accoutrements were equally over done and salty. The other thing we ordered was the pasta, Bolognese, and that thankfully was OK. But just OK. The manager was wandering around the restaurant, but not really checking in with anybody. I will say I would not recommend this restaurant to anybody and I doubt I will return read more

Everything. Three years ago we had the pasta bolognese at West Main taproom and tried to find one similar in our home state and nothing came close. They opened OV, an all Italian restaurant in January and we came up asap to get bolognese and it was awesome. It's not a heavy tomato sauce, it's as refined a bolognese as you will ever taste. It's an 8 hour labor of love to create. For the chef it's not about the recipe, it's about the flavor. The in-house made pasta paired with this thick meaty sauce will have you returning again and again because you can't get this slice of Italy anywhere else. We had quite a dining experience this trip, DBC, Lazy Dog, and Shanahans but saved the best for last. We were not disappointed as service, ambiance and taste exceeded expectations. Me and The Hubs did a 'date nite' here about a month ago. We came in with a reservation on a Tuesday and were seated right away. I had looked at the menu online before I came in, but noticed that the menu I was handed was slightly different. Not a biggie, but some of the items I saw online weren't on the menu I received, but it did have a couple of things the online didn't. Just something to keep in mind. We perused the menu and decided to share an order of the Calamari (fried calamari plus fried zucchini, with a grilled lemon half, arugula salad and marinara sauce). After receiving that, I ordered the Chicken Parmesan alla Vodka (breaded chicken breast, rigatoni, vodka cream sauce), and The Hubs ordered the Gnocchi (shrimp, roasted butternut squash, wild mushrooms, arugula, pecorino cream sauce). We also ordered a side of the Seasonal Vegetables. The Calamari was excellent! I really loved the grilled lemon half to squeeze over everything, and the simple arugula salad that accompanied it was very welcome. The marinara was nice, but for me, unnecessary as the calamari with lemon with a bite of arugula was perfect! (BTW note to the restaurant - DO NOT take this off the menu!) The entrees were delicious, but we both thought, too heavily sauced - I mean too much sauce, especially on the gnocchi dish. Don't get me wrong, the sauces were delicious, but there was just too much of it (we prefer more of an Italian approach with a lighter amount of sauce versus the typical American style...). The pastas were cooked nicely (al dente), so no complaint there. The seasonal veg was a very nice and crisp addition. They have a nice wine list with pretty reasonable prices - I think. I didn't actually see the wine list, but The Hubs ordered a bottle of something very nice that when I saw the price was surprised that it was, well, not exceptionally marked up in price. I started the evening with a Negroni which was quite nice! I actually might have had a second one. The service was very attentive. The night we came in wasn't too busy. Our server seemed a bit new to the service industry, but he was very nice, knew the menu, and offered suggestions. We didn't want for anything and got beverage refills before we were out (water and Negroni!). The general vibe/ambiance of the restaurant is quite conducive to a date night or a special event, but without feeling like you need to 'dress up'. Nice casual will do. I know the restaurant opened during the start of the cooler months, but I really hope they either change the menu for summer, or at least offer some things that aren't so heavy. A lot of their dishes (currently) have a cream sauce. Heavy. (Gazpacho would be nice. A pasta with broccoli rabe, Italian sausage, garlic, and olive oil would be ideal for my taste...). Regardless, we'll be back. Parker is lucky to have such a nice, upper scale place to eat in this sea of fast, non-descript food. read more

Went on a Friday night and it was busy. We had reservations and had to add one additional at the last minute and they were very accommodating. Arrived and drinks came out fairly quickly but appetizers were delivered to wrong table so took almost 40min to get our Bruschetta. Entrees were good. Pasta Bolognese and Lamb Rigatoni Special were good but Ravioli filling was dry and pasta was too al dente so wasn't feeling that dish. A little pricy being that we go to other "fresh pasta" restaurants and paid about 20% less. Overall had a nice dinner and server was very nice. read more

Finally, a great Italian spot on this side of town! My wife and I have been several times and always had a great experience. The food is delicious, the drinks are fantastic, and the service is solid. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed, with a darker, more intimate vibe that we really enjoy. The menu isn't huge, but it covers all the essentials, and I actually appreciate that it's more adult-focused rather than super kid-friendly. It's nice to have a high-quality dining option in Parker. Prices are on the higher side for the area, but as long as the food, drinks, and service hold up, I don't mind. The only downside?
