This place is a must, hands down. The girls who work here are sweeter than sweet. The drinks are amazing. I ended buying a bottle of vodka and was curious of the sugar content and the girls knew immediately. They even had mocktails for my husband. The best part was the sweet chihuahua who owns the place.I honestly am so excited we made the extra stop. There are horses in the front yard and yummy treats. It will be a stop for us for years to come.

Cool cocktails!

Super cool and quiet location with some tasty cocktails. They had a vendor for food onsite which was some tasty tacos. Loved the patio and the staff was super friendly. Great place to enjoy a relaxing time!

Really nice place...I called when they were closed just to ask if I could buy their product in town and the owner invited me to just come by. I did and he gave me a sample and I ended up buying a bottle of really good bottle of Mount Whitney malt whisky.

We enjoyed coming it a surprisingly cute/themed distillery. The staff was super friendly and we enjoyed the rum old fashioned and lemon drop. We sat inside and found out they have different food trucks that come on the weekends. We will definitely be back when we come through a

Always love stopping into this place for a drink. Cocktails are well balanced and very flavorful. Don't frequently see a lot of distilleries so it's great to stop by when staying in town. Service was also excellent and friendly.

Very nice experience, nice outdoor seating with misters. Cocktails were good, aimsir wheat whiskey was a little light on the flavor and the gin in the Tom collins was too strong on the cardamom, should be junipers. Liked it and giving it 4 stars as they're just starting out and one of the better places. As hubby said "Pretty damn good if you take it within the context of the town." I think they have time and room for improvement and thus the 4 stars, otherwise 3.5.

Fantastic Aviation! Had a Chicago dog and it was fantastic. Staff were great and there was a cute little doggie that stole everyone's heart. Will be back next time I'm thru! As a gin fan, there's was lovely! Lekker?

The drinks are awesome and curated so well with their own spirits they distill themselves. They also have wonderful mock-tails for the designated driver or folks who don't drink alcohol! (Fruit punch mock tail is A+) Atmosphere is modern industrial, cute aesthetic. Clean bathrooms and clean lobby. Has a ton of outdoor seating. The food selection is from food trucks/small scale companies that are all SO good. They post on Instagram who is setting up and what is being sold Tucked away from Main Street, makes it feel secret and special.

Great spot in Bishop! Highly recommend as you drive into town or passing through to Mammoth. Really good drinks - I suggest the rum old fashioned - and the Chicago hot dog is stupid good. And that's coming from someone who literally hates hot dogs usually. Dog friendly spot and super nice staff!

My husband and I visited this distillery last month and fell in love with it! The staff were so friendly and helpful. The location and business were beautiful! The drinks were incredible. We love and recommend their Moscow Mules! We plan on visiting again very soon! It was an overall great experience and enjoyable vibe and atmosphere.

Everything about this distillery is fantastic! From the drinks to the decor and positivie chill relaxing vibes. My favs are the Fench 75 & a Tom Colins!! They are dog friendly too. Thats always a win for me! On the wknds they have fantastic food truck options too, besides their own food. Check their IG & FB to see who the food guest appearance will be. I have been an avid wine connoisseur for years but their gin, vodka and rum is out of this world! They have whiskey too but my pallet just can't get on board with whiskey. Hands down, Best gem in the eastern sierras!

What I got instead was a dealer who treated my losses like a personal comedy special. Every hand I lost was met with smirks, chuckles, and full-on laughter -- not subtle, not professional, but the kind of laugh you give when you want someone to feel stupid. Nothing says "hospitality" like being mocked while losing money. It gets worse. This same dealer actively pressured me to bet more, repeatedly pushing me to raise my wager like he was my financial advisor with a personal vendetta. "Come on, one more hand," "Double it," "You'll win it back" -- constant, uncomfortable, predatory commentary. I didn't come to be hustled by the person running the table. And then the cherry on top: He announced it was the "last shoe" -- only for me to later find out there were THIRTY MINUTES left before the table actually closed. Thirty. Minutes. The only explanation? He wanted to go home early and didn't care who he misled to do it. Lying to players to speed up your shift is next-level unprofessional. But wait -- there's more. * Cards were slapped down aggressively like the dealer was mad at me for losing * Zero table etiquette -- rules changed depending on his mood * Eye-rolling when I asked basic questions * A vibe so hostile it felt like I was inconveniencing the staff by existing * Management nowhere to be found, as if this behavior is completely normal here Casinos are supposed to be fun, exciting, and at the very least neutral. This felt like psychological warfare with chips involved. I've played blackjack in plenty of casinos. I've lost money before -- that's part of the game. What I've never experienced is being laughed at, pressured, lied to, and rushed out by a dealer who clearly had zero respect for players or the integrity of the table. Do yourself a favor: take your money, your time, and your dignity literally anywhere else. Wahaana Casino doesn't deserve any of the three.

The name Shelter evokes a warm, welcoming space. You've come home. Well, change your expectations…read morehere. It's the least personal space besides Taco Bell that I've been to. Like Taco Bell, you pay in advance. Unlike Taco Bell, you are expected to leave a tip (for service), before you realize you will receive no service. Choose your own seating, call up the QR code (which asks you to enter your phone number, but you can work around that) and then gives you a sterile list for a menu. It's a distillery, but do not talk to the bartender. Order a margarita from the (surprisingly inexpensive) Taco Tuesday menu and it comes with a hard, dried citrus something floating on top that adds nothing to the experience of the drink (but does eliminate the need for the bartender to keep a fresh supply of citrus on hand). Otherwise, the margarita tastes OK. Not great. Your beet salad will not be "dressed" because that would take effort. Instead the dressing will be drizzled across the top and not even really touch the greens. Your burger will probably be tasty, as my husband's was. Your sweet potato taco will probably have too many raw onions across the top but otherwise be tasty as mine was. You will not interact with anyone other than your table companions. Even with his tasty burger, my husband called it a "soulless experience." Because the food itself seems to be decently cooked (though with minimal effort), this may be your spot if you are good with Taco Bell.

I have been to Tom's Place too many times to count. It is one of those few surviving old school…read more(literally ... it is over 100 years old) roadside cafes that are precious little gems. The food is very good. Not spectacular, and not gourmet, by any means, but very good American fare. The service is also very good, and the current owner is an asset to the community in many ways. But it is the ambiance that really makes it special. It dates back to 1917, and looks it. The dining room has a big fireplace and is paneled with knotty pine. There are a lot of doo-dads about which give the place a lot of character. Next to the dining room is a small bar, similarly festooned with a lot of entertaining doo dads. Tom's place is an official watering hole of ECV, and that alone tells you something about the place. They also have a small general store with convenience food and supplies, as well as simple souvenirs like t-shirts and coffee mugs. Have a look there while you are at it. To give you a sense of the place, consider the attached photograph. It is of the stairway to the restrooms downstairs. That doorway is low enough that a tall person might possibly hit their head, hence the admonishment. That's it in a nutshell. This is either your kind of place or not. But it is surely mine!

Upon arrival to Tom's place, I let my service animal walk around for second before picking her up…read moreto carry her into the restaurant. I was immediately met on the porch by the owner? A short, portly, long blond/ grey hair lady who instantly barked that pets were not allowed in Tom's place. I informed her that my dog is a service animal, and she immediately raised her voice and started accusing me of lying. She demanded to see paperwork that would prove that my dog is a service animal, I asked her to wait a minute while I pull it up on email and she would not stop raising her voice and basically yelling at me. I had lost my reading glasses the day before and could not see well, I was trying to pull up the email while she was yelling at me. She said she had reading glasses she could sell me, but I needed to show her the proof that my dog was a service animal before she would let her in the store. My dog was now shivering profusely because it was coldish and windy, she pointed it out and I informed her that my dog is shivering from the cold, and we are just hungry this is a huge waste of time, because she is a legal service animal, but I am now under too much stress and cannot see without my glasses to pull up the digital proof that she demands before we enter. I informed her that this was illegal, and she started berating me, telling me I don't know what the law is. She than started being condescending and asking me if I know what ADA stands for. I told her that I am a RN, and that just made her louder and more unruly. If anyonlie from the state wants to talk, I allow YELP to release my email address to them. I have had my service animal for years, and never a problem. I have actually had her in Tom's place before without a problem. I have no idea why a small restaurant owner would rather cause potential litigation and undue stress upon potential customers and break the law and demand proof of service animal legitimacy than just let people with service animals live their best lives in peace. I did not need this experience and neither did the friend that was with me or my service animal . WHO THE HELL CARES IF SOMEONE HAS A SMALL DOG THAT IS SILENT. Unfortunately for you, she is a service animal. I have paperwork. In this day and age in California, they are letting many crimes go unpunished, as it is now racist to prosecute anything. So to all the small restaurant owners out there that give people undue stress about service animals which are not a crime, just shut your mouth, take our money, and obey the law.
