A gem of a bar/restaurant that's been in the family since the 30s. Super friendly place, very cozy, good service even when it's crowded. They are known for their delicious blue cheese dressing. The salads are crispy and fresh, the spaghetti marinara only has a few spoonfuls of marinara, so I'd recommend you order some extra sauce on the side. Get the fried zucchini with a puffy golden beer batter. Cut into thin rounds, they were almost like having fried pickles. Get the wedge salad with lots of bleu cheese and more chunks of bleu cheese in the dressing. The wedge cut improves chances of freshness because it is unlikely that the lettuce has been chopped ahead of time and impossible for the lettuce to come in pre-cut in a packaged bag. Skip the pizza. Not a true margherita, but it's spelled "margarita" so they aren't making that claim. The cheese and tomato are inverted. Instead of a base of tomato sauce topped with a piece of cheese, a base of cheese is topped with a piece of tomato. Regardless, the pizza had a metallic dried garlic powder taste, too much cheese, not enough herbs, and a plain, textureless crust. Order lots of beer to stay cool because it was hot in the bar. read more

However...after a very painful hike, I was pleasantly surprised to find it open and to realize it is more BAR than pizza restaurant. I don't want to be a jerk. The server was very nice. However, we did wait over an hour for our food, due to call ins. And I must say, the pizza was beyond disappointing. I usually don't write reviews , but it's 24 hours later and we are still joking about how terrible the pizza was. We were in the mountains climbing for 2 days, eating dehydrated food. Usually after this, ANYTHING tastes good. Between 2 of us, our ravenous selves didn't even finish this tiny pizza. Next time , id rather drive to Lone Pine and get ripped off with a $40 pizza. read more

Awesome atmosphere! The bartender, Bree, is super friendly. She makes sure everyone is taken care of within minutes. The food....DELICIOUS. I'm a fan of fried zucchini....and it's hands down the best. The breading is light and crispy...a must try. The pizza....I've tried the Alfredo, the bbq chicken, among make-your-own....all very good. I'm from Long Beach, CA and was told to check this place out. Our cabin is 30 minutes from this spot and we make the trek to come here for great food, great service and a great time.
